If you stop reading my review after the first paragraph ... please take this key piece of information with you. Join the waitlist on the Texas Roadhouse website before you leave your house! Just like "one does not simply walk into Mordor," one does not simply walk into this Texas Roadhouse. This is easily the busiest location of this chain I have ever seen. My fiancé and I have tried to grab a table (on weeknights, no less) two other times, before we finally learned we needed to actually plan ahead to go to this restaurant. The first two times we walked in, it was more than an hour wait for 2 people! They did give us the option to sit at the bar ... but that wasn't appealing on a weeknight. The third time's the charm though ... we tossed around the idea while talking about dinner plans, and I checked the waitlist just before we got in the car. It gives you an estimated time when you join, so if it had been longer than a 15 minute wait for a party of two, we would've waited to leave. When we did arrive, we texted that all of our party members were here, and then got a quick follow-up text that our table was ready to go! Even on a Monday night ... this Florence Texas Roadhouse was poppin'! There were more than a dozen people standing in the entryway, waiting for their tables. But ... it's all worth it once you get that first bite of their freshly-baked rolls dipped in cinnamon-honey butter. We both ordered beers - which were delightfully cold after a stressful Monday. My fiancé ordered some grilled shrimp as an appetizer ... which never made it to our table. I ordered the Dallas Fillet topped with onions and mushrooms, with a house salad and green beans on the side. I asked for my steak cooked medium, and it was pretty close to that ... with the center verging on medium rare. The green beans were bacon-y and vinegary, and the salad was prompt, with nicely chilled lettuce. My fiancé ordered the Fillet Medallions, also cooked medium. His were just a tad on the rare side, but the flavor was there. His sweet potato was topped with the same cinnamon-honey butter as the rolls ... a true match made in Roadhouse Heaven. The rice the medallions were served on was a bit salty. Our server was friendly and quick. When the check arrived, the shrimp was still on the bill, but we let her know we'd never gotten it, and she quickly removed it and brought us the adjusted bill. While this might have been a three star experience, I went with four stars overall because we know we'll be back for those gosh darned rolls. read more

On Monday Jan 13, 2035 at 6:54 pm we online ordered a family pack of chicken tenders, which is 24 tenders and comes with family size sides. We ordered the family house salad, and 2 orders of family size steak fries. It's 39.99 + tax +tip. Order was ready at 7:19pm. My husband picked it up. When he got home we realized some of our order was missing. Normally with the family pack the salad is in a big aluminum container, same for the chicken. The family size salad dressings are normally in a larger container for multiple people. The sides like French fries are usually in larger containers also. We ended up with one order of fries, an entree sized salad with 2 small individual sides of ranch, and what looked like 2 orders of tenders, not family pack for 4 people. My kids were starving so we made the best of it and I made some Mac & cheese and green beans at home. I called Texas Roadhouse in Florence, KY and spoke to a manager named Brooklyn. She said the family packs are supposed to be larger amounts packed in larger containers so she said whoever packed the order must have messed up. She said she would go to the back and inform them (kitchen?) that our order was wrong. She took my email and said she would send a voucher to me since we didn't get what we paid for with family pack. Today is Saturday, 5 days later, and I still have not received any voucher or any emails or partial refund from Texas Roadhouse. We've ordered these same family packs multiple times in the past and have had no issues. The food that we received was really good as usual but since the restaurant never sent a voucher for the missing items, I'm giving 2 stars. If someone wants to make this right, Brooklyn should have my email. read more

Been to a few of these and they range from good to quite good. This one was packed but got us seated within 15 minutes. Waiter was friendly and quick to take care of us. Food was nicely cooked and presented with mine being a perfectly cooked medium rare steak and my son has a gigantic Roadhouse burger. We also grabbed the appetizer combo which was good, but probably not worth the $12 it costs. But, for a regular meal with sides, this was a great experience with outstanding service. Nice server who tried hard, bartender was about 4'2", 320, and a bleached dripped through her skull so badly that her words don't work. Place is overstaffed with undermotivated employees, when the employees are outright sitting in the booths they find a wall to lean against while you can't get a refill. read more

I've been to this location four times now, and each time is worse than the last. It's not just bad luck at this point. I was embarrassed to have brought my woman and our house guest here. I will say that our waiter was very friendly, and any issues we've ever had here are beyond the waiter's control. The consistent issue here is the temperature of the food. Every time I eat here, my food is being served to me and it's barely warm. I don't understand how this can be happening every time, and I regret not sending it back and leaving the restaurant. This problem may be related to another constant issue - the wait times for the food! We waited almost an hour after ordering to get our main entrees. Are they just leaving it out and forgetting about it? This annoyance could almost be overlooked if the food was noticeably better quality than Applebee's or Chili's, but it's really not. At all. But we're still paying prices as if it's an upscale establishment. The icing on the cake was on our most recent visit when my woman was eating her salad. About halfway through, I noticed her looking down at her bowl with disgust. Yep, a dead fly just laying there right in the salad. Absolutely disgusting. Once again - should have just got up and walked out.. but shame on me, I guess. The manager came out and reassured us that the salads are always washed and she removed the salad from our bill. She was then served her herb-crusted chicken, which was dryer than the Sahara Desert and physically hard to swallow. Can't believe I've given this restaurant my money. I was tempted to give a 1 star rating, but I'll give 2 because the rolls are always good. Make sure you fill up on them, and don't be shy about asking the waiter to bring more. It's probably going to be the only thing you enjoy here. Side note: Forgot to mention that on a previous visit we were served an inedible shrimp skewer. It tasted as if someone dumped an entire jar of salt on it and served it to us as a prank. There will be no follow-up review because I'll never be back. read more

Celebrating a friend's birthday and she chose Texas Roadhouse. They had a wait list online where we could sign up before leaving Indiana. The hour twenty was actually less than 15 minutes after we arrived. Got the Onion appetizer....been a while since we had one. Very tasty. Our party ordered 2 steaks and 1 pair of pork chips. Food was very good but they inadvertently brought prime run instead of ribeye. They corrected the error and took a while to coik & replace, so they comp'd the steak. me and my fiancée came here to eat around 12pm yesterday and my server took our drink orders came back a few mins later got the food orders. when dropping off the drinks he didn't even stop at the table he just dropped them off while walking and didn't even say anything to us and someone else brought out the food. we never saw him after that didn't ask how the food was if we needed anything he had a table across from us and they were looking for him to be able to pay but he was nowhere to be seen and never came back we had to get someone else to pay our bill. extremely unprofessional. he did not get a tip from me. read more

The food was amazing... even the next day. Porterhouse medium rare cooked perfect. Loaded mashed potatoes. Well worth the wait to get say. Our waitress was extremely attentive and our drinks were always full. It was packed but so good and such an awesome experienced. Not all TXRH are as good as this one. The manager comes out after the 1st steak to discount my meal but the check came and was the wrong check, so I would know. Any how, after the steak was burnt to a crisp and waiting 2 hours on all this, I decided I didn't want to wait on a 3rd check and told the manager I was just going to find something else to eat. This specific location has let us down for the second time. Todays problem was waiting an hour for food with kids. As I type this, I know that this sounds ridiculous to complain about. However, my children were so hungry. We watched all the tables around us get their food even though we got sat before them. Don't get me started on there seating process. You get assigned to a table as soon as the people before you at that table are given their check. You will then have to wait for that table no matter how long the people stay there. We've given this location multiple chances. We've only ever done to-go orders because the wait is awful(60minutes+). Even with to go orders we wait longer than quoted. This location seems to always be in a high demand. However, we can't fathom why. Each to-go order has been disappointing. In the past our wait was so long they refunded us for our order. Today we ordered to-go for 4:30pm hoping to beat the dinner rush. We are a 6 minute drive from the restaurant. Our food was cold. More than that, both our entrees were over cooked and dry. Today I tried something new. The pulled pork dinner. The pork came with no sauce (I asked for extra) and it's dry beyond fixing. I tried to match it with 2 different sauces we keep at home and I can't bring myself to eat it. After poor experiences 3x now you think we'd learn our lesson. Do not know why people complain about long waiting time, they probably never been to upscale restaurants where you need to wait weeks or even months. Never waited myself longer than 20 minutes at this particular location (and it is usually very busy especially fri-sun). Food is the same good as other Texas Roadhouses across the country, service is pretty quick. Also nice that they have a discount for veterans. Recommend it to everyone. read more

This was my family's first time eating at this location we decided to go here for my daughter's birthday dinner. At first our server and appetizer was great but that's when it went down hill. After watching several tables who were seated after us served and leave we were getting a little upset. One of the managers came to our table and told use our server forgot to put our order in excuse me what!! They rushed are order and got it within 15 - 20 minutes plus they gave us dessert and a discount. I truly appreciate the attempt to fixing the situation and some of our order was wrong but we were to hungry to care at this point I don't know if I would return honestly. Was very disappointed in this location. Called ahead for a group of 10 to celebrate my dad's birthday. Said we'd arrive at 5:30 and was told that was fine (I called about 35 mins ahead). Our whole party was there at 5:20. We checked in and sat in the waiting area. We asked multiple times between 5:50 and 6:20 when we'd be seated and were told each time the table was being bussed and it'd be 5 more mins. At 6:20, they called a party of 15 to be seated. At that point we asked for a manager. We were told the general manager wasn't there. The man who was a manager came out and was very disrespectful and dressed very unprofessionally. We asked why 15 were seated ahead of us and were told they checked in ahead of us. Why couldn't they have told us in the hour we'd been waiting? Why tell us that our table was being prepared? We decided to leave. We were there to celebrate my dad's 72nd birthday. All he wanted was to eat with his family on his birthday and Texas Roadhouse ruined the evening. To make it worse, the management only made excuses and didn't take any responsibility for being lied to regarding our table being ready. We've been good customers since this location opened and we always tip well. In the end we we took our business to Longhorn and doubt we will go back to the Florence Texas Roadhouse. The food at this place is always burnt meaning ribs and steak so tough its hard to eat and dried out. Nasty! I really like the loaded mash potatoes, but even those come cold. Very crowded on a Saturday night and so I sat at the bar as I was flying solo and could get immediate service. The two bar tenders were very friendly, professional, and efficient. That's where it goes from great to mediocre. The 12 oz NY steak was supposed to be Med-Well but came out rare. The cut of meat was not only not incorrectly prepared, it was a very tough cut. I don't know if it had been sitting around for a while but it was like eating a baseball glove. For sides I got corn and the mashed potatoes. They were both fine. We had signed up for the Waitlist, and only waited about 20 minutes after the text to come in. Wait staff was exceptional, especially Bella. She forgot to put a meal on our ticket, because she was concerned about my food allergies. Instead of blaming the kitchen staff, or saying something else, she owned up to forgetting it. Went there with my niece and her husband. We all got steaks baked potatoes, salad and rolls. Was delicious, I would go there just for the rolls with the cinnamon butter. If you haven't tried their rolls you don't know what your missing. I would probably try to sell them along with the butter in the stores. read more
