I haven't came to Texas Roadhouse in so long. It's always packed and parking is honestly terrible but I decided to go today since I was craving a nice steak dish. As soon as you walk in, you check in with front desk and wait until you get a text when your table is ready. Once seated, menus are already on the table for you to view. There's a lot of different options to choose from. I really wish they had better appetizers. I got their rattlesnake bites it tastes exactly like jalapeño poppers IMO and it was salty but surprisingly it did come out hot. Their bread rolls and butter is always a must. It is unlimited but don't eat so much because you do get full! They do have peanuts available too in buckets but you can't throw them on the floor anymore! Main course I got the 8oz sirloin with ribs and baked potato and Caesar salad. I asked for medium and my steak came out just like that. I was pleasantly surprised. I got full really fast I don't know why I thought I was gonna eat it all but nooo lol I had a lot of leftovers which is totally fine! We finally came out to Texas Roadhouse. I resist these kind of chain restaurants but I couldn't say no to my husband once again lol For a random Thursday night it was pretty full. And loud. Service, however, was also pretty good, making up for the noise. Except that by the third of four celebration cries, I couldn't wait to finish my food and leave. Whenever someone says they are celebrating something - a birthday, whatever, someone literally yells at full volume something about Roadhouse and then they do a further chant that lasts way too long. The food was ok, 3 stars due to the cactus blossom or whatever they call their fried onion thing. We definitely should have went with a different appetizer. This onion had way too much batter - it didn't cook completely at the base/inside and the onion wasn't cooked enough. Oh well. We all liked our entrees. I got the beef tips with sautéed onions and mushrooms and mashed potatoes. My other side was green beans that had bacon a slightly too strong smoke flavor. My husband liked his steak and ribs - ribs that looked oddly small. Oh and done forget those dinner rolls!! So good. Daniel, our server is what bumped this up another Star. It had been a long time since I'd been to Texas Roadhouse, and after moving from the Los Angeles area, I was pleasantly surprised to find one nearby. My family and I had a great experience. Birthday dinner with some family The vibe was right, service was fast & food was delicious! Literally everyone who worked there was smiling & saying hi. Love those buttery biscuits & bloomin onion My grandma & I had the steak skewers, they were just tight medium well and had this perfect taste. Side of mac n cheesy cheese. My Daughter had a 6oz. This was my daughter's and my first visit to the Fresno Texas Roadhouse. It's far from where we live, which is probably why we hadn't tried it before, but I had a $50 gift card and decided it was time. When we arrived, there was a huge crowd waiting to be seated. What didn't make much sense was that when I went to the restroom, I noticed the back half of the restaurant was empty, and the bathrooms themselves were a mess. That said, the quoted wait time was accurate--we were told 35-45 minutes and were seated in about 38. The service was great, and the rolls were plentiful--almost filling us up before the appetizers arrived. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. The onion blossom was bland despite asking for it extra crispy, and we ended up switching to the shrimp appetizer instead. My daughter ordered the half slab of ribs with green beans and mashed potatoes. The ribs fell off the bone but were a bit dry, the green beans tasted canned, and the mashed potatoes with gravy were the best part of her meal. I ordered the shrimp platter with seasoned rice, corn, and steak fries. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, but the rice was just okay, the corn was bland, and the fries were late and undercooked. Overall, I really wanted to like this place, but the food quality didn't match the price. I expected fresher ingredients and better seasoning, and I'd rather spend a bit more at a restaurant where I know I'll get consistently fresh food. read more

The service is good but their 'famous chile' has some issues. #1) It's always lukewarm. I mean every time. You'll NEVER see steam coming off of this and I'm sure it would not pass health code requirements. I was told, 'the bowls' are prefilled and held in a warming drawer. #2) Seems to be a change in the quality: Too much gag stuff now, tendons or whatever! Love the flavor but how does this location think a temp like that is acceptable?? I was hitting the gym and needed something in me so popped in to eat at the bar, get in and out. The men's restroom also reeks of urine. How is that possible in a place like this? Is it lack of thorough cleaning, an exhaust fan issue or both? IF they are not ensuring the temps on the chili in a holding drawer on a signature menu offering, what else are they NOT paying attention to? Given the popularity of this location, often packed, how is it that the restroom is neglected. Other high volume restaurants across the city manage those two simple issues with ease and you'd never have notice a food temp or a smelly restroom. Lives up to the Texas in the name, the ambiance screams Lone Star State. Service was a 10/10. We finally mastered the waitlist process to get in. Worked out great. Our server was an older lady who disappeared for 15-20 minutes around the time we had finished our salads and had dirty plates in front of us for a long time and still had not received our cocktails. We had to watch some servers stop and line dance while we waited. We asked our server for our drinks when she reappeared. Not much apology or offer to comp anything. On the bright side, the food was good. I liked my salad, salmon and fresh vegetables. The hot rolls and cinnamon butter are yummy. My companions liked their steaks better than ones at the famous old place nearby we had been to the night before. read more

We waited 45 minutes for a table, which is to be expected, and we were set on eating here. Our server was very friendly and food came out in a timely manner. Cactus blossom (aka a blooming onion) was the best thing of the whole meal. The seasoning on it was incredible lololol. I've never had a blooming onion before so it was very surprising how yummy it was. The rest of the meal kinda missed the mark for me. The service is great but the food is not good. There was long wait times on the weekend and it's loud and packed but to be expected. I'd give 5 stars if I was only rating the service and the rolls. My family came to celebrate a birthday and all of our food was unsatisfying. The cocktails are overpriced for what you get since it's not strong and is 80% ice. The sides came out cold and the protein taste on the lower quality side. The blooming onion had nice flavor but it seems like it was fried in old or overused oil. This is not the first time I have this experience and I won't be visiting again. This might me someone else's cup of tea though! read more

I've been to Texas Roadhouse about four times, and while the service has always been great, the kitchen consistency has been really disappointing. The servers are friendly, attentive, and do an excellent job -- no complaints there at all. Unfortunately, the steaks have been the issue. Out of the four visits, only one steak was cooked correctly. On my most recent visit, I ordered a medium-well steak and it came out medium. When it was remade, it came back extremely overcooked and dry -- basically well done and not enjoyable to eat, especially when you're paying $40+ for a steak. It's frustrating because this used to be my go-to spot, but lately the lack of consistency in the kitchen makes it hard to justify coming back. I really hope they improve, because the service side of the restaurant is excellent. read more

I arrived at 7pm i have been waiting over an hour and a half still haven't gotten food. Never got the appetizer server " forgot to put in". I finally got the steak and it was completely hard and grey. Waiters don't know how to serve. Cooks can't cook food. It's sad this place finally brought back peanuts and everything else is horrific. We waited for about 10 minutes before the server even came to tell us she'd be with us. ~5 minutes later, she finally came back and just took our orders and left. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't good. You can tell she's got a lot going on. So we waited and waited and someone finally came around to give my daughter her side, the Caesar salad, and that was it. Then we realized that we were never given utensils. So we waited to see if we'd see our waitress but she never came by. Our food finally arrived after 10+ minutes after the salad was dropped off and she was off so fast that we never got the chance to ask her for utensils. We ended up interrupting another waiter for them. After finally getting to eat, our appetizer of the Boneless Buffalo Wings finally got dropped off. Food was honestly really good and definitely worth coming again for. The bread with the butter is definitely my fav part of the whole thing. I got a Caesar salad as a side and have absolutely no complaints but wouldn't suggest it if you're not fan of salad DRENCHED in dressing. I ordered the steak with shrimp and mashed potatoes with brown gravy and cheese as my second side and 10/10. My server was also amazing!! She was so funny and had a great attitude throughout the whole time there. I'm really disappointed with how things went this time. I usually dine in and the service is always great, but doing a preorder for takeout was disappointing. First, we called to place an order, but they said they couldn't take it over the phone and told us to come in. When we got there, all they did was write down our name and pickup time. They didn't even let us pay ahead, so I don't get why we had to go in when this could've easily been done over the phone. The day of pick up, they had us wait another 35-40minutes. It didn't make sense because we ordered days ahead to avoid waiting, but we still had to wait 30+ minutes past our pickup time. When I finally got my order, they gave me three 8 oz butters for five dozen bread and told me "right now" they can only give one butter for every two dozen. I said okay. When I got home and opened them, it was literally just five small scoops per container. When I ordered some when I went to go put in the preorder, the butter was a full 8 oz and 1 8 oz per dozen, so this was really inconsistent and not what I was told. The lady told me that each dozen comes with an 8oz cup of butter during preorder. The info they gave was misleading, and it felt wrong to be told one thing and then get something totally different when you pay for it. read more

I've been to the Texas Roadhouse in Fresno a few times, and they consistently provide decent service and decent food. On our most recent visit, we ordered the 12 oz ribeye and shrimp with green beans and a baked sweet potato. Our friends ordered the ribeye steak with fully loaded mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. The food was decent overall--nothing to complain about, but not overly impressive either. We started with the Desert Blossom, which was perfectly delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Crispy, well-seasoned, and exactly what you'd expect. I also tried the Blue Fruit Coconut cocktail. It tasted good, but when they ask if you want a "kicker," get the kicker. The drink is way too sweet and doesn't have enough alcohol as is. I ended up adding the kicker and an extra shot of Pirate Bay Coconut Rum, which finally gave it the right amount of alcohol to balance out the sweetness. Trust me, if you order this drink, just go ahead and get the kicker and the extra shot. The restaurant itself was mostly clean, but I did notice some sticky menus. That's a pet peeve of mine because it makes me wonder how often they actually get wiped down. Sticky menus are a small thing, but they make a bad first impression. We also ran into a bit of confusion when we first got seated. There was a mix-up between the hostess, our server, and someone else when we asked for regular butter instead of the cinnamon butter. By the time they brought it out, the rolls had gone cold. I had to ask for fresh rolls just to get the butter to melt. Another small thing, but I like my food warm and fresh, so that was a minor annoyance. Overall, we had a good time. The food and service were decent, but nothing to write home about. And don't forget the military discount if you're eligible--that's always a nice bonus. read more

Our waiter was on top of everything and was super nice even though they were pretty busy. The food was epic as always. It was quieter and kind of away from the busy, crowded areas. I mean, we've been seated in busy areas before, and don't mind at all. I'm just saying that it was nice to be a little to the side. Staff: One of the two hosts at the front took care of us as soon as he saw us. Our waitress was helpful and professional. She was polite and attentive. She did not smile too much nor did she try to be friendly, but she did her job decently well. Food: - Bread and butter: good, easy to overeat those and spoil your appetite, so be careful. - One kid's meal: the two small cheeseburgers with fries. My kiddo ate everything, so it's safe to say he liked it! - One 12 oz ribeye, my favorite! A fully loaded potatoe, and some rice. Everything was good! The steak was cooked exactly how I like them. The taste, flavor, texture, seasoning, everything was perfect! I like to eat my steaks with fresh horseradish, which they had. If they added chives to the loaded potato, it would have been even better! Wanted to take my girlfriend to texas roadhouse because she requested it for her birthday. prior to arriving, we entered the waitlist to the restaurant. when me and my girlfriend got there (8:45) we walked in, walked to the desk and had to initiate the "welcome" as the 3 hosts?servers? we're all talking amongst themselves. We got checked into the waitlist for a party of 2, was told 10 minutes. 15 minutes go by and we're finally seated by the host and are told "you're serve will be right with you". No peanuts. which every other table had. No silverware. No water. Two breads an 20 minutes later we finally see a server heading towards us thinking we can finally get a glass of water at the very least, he completely ignores us, goes to the table behind us and asks if everything is okay with them as they had a tip on the table. It wasn't busy at all. meanwhile in the background there was 4 back to back birthday chants. If that is the reason for us not getting a proper server to even offer a glass of water, you should probably dedicate certain staff members to chant your birthday songs. not to mention almost every single staff member looked like they hated it there except for the bartenders. Neither me nor my girlfriend are very confrontational, if somethings wrong on an order we usually just shrug our shoulders and eat still. but this was just ridiculous. i get better service at fast food restaurants. would not recommend until staff gets some new training or it's taken under new ownership where customer service actually matters. read more

We have been going to TRH for years and never had an issue with either food or service but this evening we got hit with both...our server was Bryan, we were a party of 6 seated at table 524.....our server was all over the place, couldn't focus, it took him several trips to bring items that he kept forgetting.....now to the food, we had 2 orders of ribs of which both orders were way overdone like shoe leather, the order of grilled shrimp was over cooked and saturated in salt and seasoning....I'm not saying we'll never back but it certainly won't be any time soon... read more

I love this place and I love the Texas fillet, which is the only thing I order every time I come here, Unfortunately, I got filled up on rolls and salad with a shrimp appetizer so when my Texas Fillet entrée it looked liked odd like a New York cut, but I didn't question it at the time because I so full and I said "I wi take that to go for my happy lunch tomorrow". Well I was so disappointed to find out it was in New York steak opposed to my favorite Texas Fillet that I paid for. i'm gonna call the establishment and hopefully they'll make it right. We are there usually once or twice a month. The atmosphere is lively and very friendly! I usually have the sirloin and bbq grilled chicken, but tried what they call an "American Cheeseburger" for a change. The food is always great, especially the hot rolls with cinnamon butter. The servers are always great, and our last two visits were pretty awesome! Today MELISSA H served us and she was SO AWESOME! I can honestly say she is the best and most friendliest server we had ever had! She is SO bubbly and naturally sweet! Also, I need to give TONY a close second. They both always kept our glasses full and our baskets full of hot rolls without asking! We especially enjoyed the live entertainment of their line dancing, Tony was getting it on!
