Ok so it's been awhile since I've been back here, I would say a couple of years. But I wanted to give them another shot. So I brought my kids and let me start out by saying I really was impressed how much they have changed. Like when we walked in they greeted us right away and sat us down. I think we beat the dinner crowd which was nice. Our server was Maria and she was amazing, very friendly and assertive. Took our drink & app order and had them right out. Now she has other tables to tend to but she Handel the task like it was nothing. A few moments later she took our order and the food came out about 25 minutes later. We had ordered the chicken fried steak, some shrimp, salad, rice and mashed potatoes. Everything was so delicious and fresh. I was blown away this time around compared to a few years back. Came here on a date night. Got seated right away. Was ready to order right away. Waitress was great. However, our entire order was wrong. Not only that but it had been sitting and COLD. And when we brought it up to our waitress, she talked to management and what was their solution??? THEY COULD HEAT IT UP. Like what???? If that was the case I could've done that at home. Like no. We came for fresh food. Big tables are not an excuse to make other tables wait and let their food sit. Our waitress was great and we do not blame her. We even still made the effort to leave her a tip on a bill that was fully comped. We also were still willing to pay for our appetizer and drinks and were not expecting those to be comped. If I could give zero stars I would. First, roaches. Unfortunately, we didn't see the bugs until after we got our bills. There were roaches under the tables and outside the doorway. When we told the waiter about the bugs, they seemed unbothered. It was incredible the lack of concern the staff had at this restaurant. As far as service is concerned, it was similar. There was a lack of effort from the staff. Service was extremely slow, and even though the restaurant was near to empty (that should have been our sign). They brought our dishes out a separate times. We came here tonight to enjoy a nice meal but almost immediately were put off. The hostess sat us right away, unfortunately the table was not clean. I noticed the hostess brushed off the bench but that didn't really bother me as I think the seating gets overlooked often. When I went to sit down however, I could see sticky residue and pieces of food still on the table. So then I thought well this table wasn't cleaned off at all. When the waiter came to take our drink order we asked for lemon in the ice water and I asked to have the table cleaned off. He confirmed we both wanted lemon and said he would have someone clean the table off. No one came by to clean the table off and he didn't appear to be concerned the waters were missing the lemon. So disappointing when it really was two simple requests that should have been easily taken care of. He just seemed to not care or couldn't be bothered to fulfill a basic need. read more

I called to put in my name and was told there was no wait. Drove the few blocks to OS and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. The hostess suggested I sit at the bar, that's where they usually have single diners sit. The bartender/server was super nice and friendly. It wasn't long before she took my order. Absolutely terrible. I placed a to go order that they said would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I got there at the 20 minute mark and tried calling to let them know I was there and no one answered. I tried calling 5 more times and still no one answered. No one even thought to come check and see if I was there, so I finally decided to just leave after sitting there for almost 15 minutes. Treated myself to a ribeye and was disappointed to find it chewy even cooked to medium rare. No idea how they do it, but second times enough for me to learn my lesson. When I can cook a better ALDI ribeye with just salt and pepper, we got a problem. The staff are friendly enough. Offered to remake the steak but said the cuts were similar, so I'd rather not have wasted the food. They said it would get more tender as I went along. It didn't. We had really great food and it was quick service for 7pm on a Friday night! I had the sirloin with the grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes, and green beans. They brought us bread for the table that was so delicious and our server Ranier was very sweet and brought us extra bread to take home. The little koala ducks in the koala punch were adorable and a fun little souvenir to take home to remember this awesome night. There was another man other than Ranier who brought my cocktail over and made a remark of "You know this is an alcoholic cocktail right?" which felt weird as I had showed Ranier my ID and verified my age with the server, maybe it was a joke as I look quite young but it made me feel a little uncomfortable. It's been a while since we've been in an Outback. Our server Annette D. was super friendly & patient with my family & I as we ordered from the confusing menu (the kids menu had no prices on it.) The food was decent for the price (used the Monday kids eat free promo that was only valid for one of our kids.) The seasoning on my sirloin was better than Texas Roadhouse across the street but other than that TR is better in all other categories (free rolls at TR are waaaay better than Outback bread.) This is a great place for a chain restaurant to get a steak. I had the sirloin and ribs combo and my son had the ribeye shrimp combo. Both were excellent and perfectly cooked to our liking. The ribs were the surprise of our order, they were incredible. Just the right amount of BBQ sauce and fall off the bone good! The price seems a little high so this is really a splurge for us. Anthony was our waiter and he did a great job. The ambiance is always a little dark but not so dark that you can't read the menu. I've been there before. We shared the TimTam cake/mousse dessert and it was incredible. Since TimTams are from Australia it really works. I needed a glass of milk to go with that decadent dessert. read more

Haven't been to an Outback in many, many years. For me, it's hard to justify going to a steakhouse when making a steak and baked potato at home is so easy. After eating here, I have the same feeling. Starting with the signature bloomin' onion, overall, it was salty. It came with two sauces that were the same. Simply swapping one out for a different sauce would've been nice. My steak was cooked properly to order. Seasoning was straightforward, and the cut was more or less tender. The baked potato was fine but could've easily used twice the toppings. The mixed veggies on the side were a sad afterthought. Coconut shrimp were nice and tender. The burger was mediocre, and the fries needed an extra minute in the fryer. Service was perfect. read more

She was starting to help us when another worker interrupted her about an empty table that hadn't been filled yet. He was making her flustered right in front of potential customers like we weren't even there. She had to stop helping us and call someone else to take our names. Very rude of him. We were eventually seated and ordered 2 drinks to start off. A blackberry martini and a margarita. The same person who flustered the hostess earlier had brought out our drinks to us. He asked who ordered the margarita and I raised my hand. As he put down the drinks in front of us, he said, "Good thing I didn't assume who ordered what because I would have gotten it wrong." It's probably been 15 years or so since the last time I went to Outback, and I gotta say, it has stood up against the test of time. They are supposed to have online wait-list, but the function wasn't working on their web browser or phone app. I also tried calling Friday evening a couple times, but no one picked up. We showed up for dinner around 6pm, and were quoted a 30 min, but it ended up being more like a 15 minute wait. The blooming onion is must (4/5)! It's an onion cut like a flower and battered/deep friend with a chili aioli. It's basically onion ring, but a more fun presentation. We also shared a 16oz prime rib, only available on Friday and weekends, with Caesar salad and loaded bake potato. The sides were good, but not noteworthy (3/5) and the prime rib is not the most quality piece of meat but had good flavor and was cooked just right at medium (3/5). Service was excellent (5/5). Our waitress went above and beyond, checking in on us fairly often (but not too often) and anticipating our desires for ranch and extra sauces. I would definitely return again if I want to take another trip down memory lane, but it likely won't make frequent rotation for date nights. read more
