absolutely worst Texas road house i have ever been too .Everytime I come to this location it's always something. Today on Christmas Eve! they apparently decided to close early at 8. earlier this morning we placed a pick up order for 9 pm we arrived at 8:50 and they wouldnot let us talk and just kept repeating that they are closed already . we mention that we are here for pickup and they said their kitchen is already closed. and said that they will not be able to fulfill the order . and said we would get a refund in 6-7 business days. The staff is really nice. A manager held the door open for us when we walked in. The wait was minimal, even though it is pretty busy right now. There are new employees and they are doing a great job of cleaning the tables and keeping the floor clean despite the peanuts. Cohnor is out waitress and she is doing a great job. Everything was awesome, from the low wait time to the last bite of the steak. Our server Leslie was absolutely devine!! The food came out quicker than anticipated, nice and hot. Without asking, Leslie would refill our refreshments. The manager on shift, I believe her name was Maddie, came by to check in us and was very nice and welcoming. Variety of food even if you're not a steak eater I've heard from people I go with that the steaks are very good. The rattlesnake bites are an excellent appetizer for 2 to 3 people. Salads are very good majority of Wait staff are long-term if someone is new, they pitch in to make sure that you have excellent service. Was there for the Rangers world series game 5, and they had no audio on the TVs and were playing basic country music. Which would normally be fine, but during a Rangers World Series game, i was very disappointed. Do not come here to watch a sports game. Only eat here if you want a steak but are not in the mood to cook your own. Even at that, I'd go to another Road House or salt grass steak house I have been to several Texas Road house establishments, and I can firmly say this one is run poorly and have had one of my worst dining experiences at this establishment. I am such a fan of Texas Roadhouse, so I like to visit as many as I can. First time at this one, and I think I can already reestablish it as my personal favorite in the DFW area. Was not packed but busy, but we didn't even have to wait to be seated for a party of four. The food came out in a timely manner and was cooked to perfection. My salad was great, the lettuce wasn't soggy, perfect amount of toppings and dressing. My steak was to die for, cooked just right, and the loaded mashed potatoes were on point. Our server, Kevin, was what made the night. He was great all around, making sure we had everything we needed and our glasses stayed full. He kept us laughing and was very attentive to us. I used Texas Roadhouse catering for my wedding. I cannot begin to thank them for their hospitality and intentionality! We ordered pork chops, green beans, mashed potatoes, and rolls with honey butter. Everyone was asking where it was from because it was so good and though it sat on burners for about 45 minutes to an hour, everything was still warm and cooked to perfection. I will be honest, based on the cost and reputation, I had an expectation that the food would be incredible. It did not disappoint. What made the experience stand out was that I was trying to pay for everything the day of and the payment was not going through. The owner, Clayton, called me and said "This is your special day. Do not worry about this right now and we will take care of it later." He then showed up to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction.... and we hadn't paid for the food. They left and didn't follow up with me. I called them several days later to pay and we got it taken care of. The fact he allowed us to keep the main thing the main thing on my wedding day says volumes about the character and integrity of the staff of this establishment. Took my class here for dinner. We were seated immediately. Was definitely interested in the happy hour. We arrive at 5:25 it was a group of 9 and it took until 6:08p to get us the first round of drinks, Because there was one bartender who was going extremely slow. The food was good. The cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in my entire life. I probably would've taken a plate in there to eat (maybe not). It smelled wonderful and floors were spotless. As I continue my road trip across America and here's one of my local spots in Irving, TX. They've put a Texas Roadhouse here and right next to the hotel I'm staying at. Bria was awesome helping out with what we need for our group and her demeanor and presence put a smile on everyone's faces. It's always a great time when your server pays attention to you even when the place is packed. I had the 12oz Ribeye which was excellent and a sweet potato and a side of chili. Which was good. It has probably been 15 years since eating at a Texas Roadhouse. Great memories of having salad and Cactus Blossom as lunch! I have been wanting try them again and was super happy when one was opened near our home. We arrived around 4 PM since we we skipped lunch and were now too hungry to wait until a normal dinner time. Yes, eating along with the blue hairs, what can I say?! Shockingly, the place was busy at this early time. Our waitress, Britney, was friendly and quick. I was jonesing for the big mound of fried onion goodness, but my hubby doesn't like it and I knew I couldn't shove the big serving down my gullet, so we passed. Booo... we did settle for the fried pickles, though. Good stuff, a little overly salty, but I still liked them. I ordered the salmon and my husband got the shrimp. Both dishes were great. My salmon was cooked well, with it still being moist with a nice seared crust. So good! My husband gobbled down his shrimp and was satisfied. We most definitely will return. One of the many things I like about TR is that they always have enough employees. Service is fast, you never have to search for the waitstaff, and tables are cleared promptly. Plus, they all seemed to genuinely like their jobs. The prices are very reasonable and there is no way anyone would walk out still hungry! I like this location. I prefer this steakhouse to all of the others. The prices are great and the quality is, too. Not overpriced at all. The early dining prices are wonderful, too! I get chicken fried steak, ribs, chicken tenders, or steak here. I like the chicken tenders the most. They are so crispy and crunchy and they really pile the plate high with them. The honey mustard sauce here is very delicious. For sides, I get mashed potatoes, green beans, caesar salad, fries, or chili. I prefer the chili most of all. Fries are second, then green beans. They really know how to make their green beans here. The mashed potatoes are ok, but sometimes the chunks are a little too chunky and the skin is a little too overwhelming for my tastes. read more

I came here on 10/6/23 around 8 pm the service was super slow... our server was a young female who worked the section behind the host stands second booth table far corner. I ordered the 8oz serloin with shrimp and a house salad and sweet potato, the food arrived a bit cold but I didn't mind it too much. I was waiting about 25 minutes for a straw and water as well. The manager came around once and asked if everything was okay which it was... But I woke up around midnight vomiting non stop and had a high fever. They refused to help and overloaded the bags, which then ripped and dumped food on the ground. Was fairly disappointed in the visit. Ordered a bone in rib eye and I have to say it was the worst rib eye I ever had . I will soon be in senior citizen range, so Ive had plenty in my lifetime. The marbling and flavor was almost non existent. It ate more like a somewhat tough sirloin. The sides were unremarkable. Pickup at window has been consistent. Always ready. Friendly. Same faces. Until yesterday, Sunday, a totally different story. No one at window, waited a long time, decided to go into restaurant. Saw two employees who ignored me. They were too busy chatting. Told them "I'm here to pick up my order." I don't even know where to start on what a horrible experience I had at this location. I have been to several locations & never been so disappointed at the lack of customer service, accountability, & respect.  I went to make reservations online but w/our party of 8 people, website stated parties over 6 to contact the location. I called at 5pm spoke to one of the hostess Karina who asked what time I wanted to come in with my party (advised 7pm) after advising we were 8 & that we would be driving an hour to this location so wanted to make sure all worked out to avoid a long wait since we all know Texas Roadhouse is always a wait. She stated to call at 6 to provide my information once we all arrived to let the hostess know. I called at 618 got her again & she took my name, information and told her It would be 720 as opposed to 7pm as we were running behind. She stated no problem letting the hostess know when we arrived. We arrived & when I went in she said we are now on the list it will be AN HOUR WAIT!!!!! When I questioned her what the point of me calling in vs walking in did she pretty much didn't have an answer. When I asked why they did not advise me we would still be put on the waitlist at arrival she didn't' have an answer. The hostess next to her who later lied she was a manager stated they are trained to tell us we would be placed once we arrived. I replied I understand you train to explain but it wasn't told to me. To add to that, why then call an hour prior if it doesn't do anything.  I was frustrated however NEVER once cursed, yelled or was rude. I was firm in questioning why no one explained the process & how it made no sense. I told her to keep me on the list and if anything changed I would advise. Went outside & came back in to see if I can speak to a manager to see if anything can be done as we had reservations elsewhere after dinner.  Karina got her earpiece to start to call a manager when the other hostess next to her claimed to be a manger with an attitude & when I asked her to give me her name to confirm she truly was since she was out of uniform without a name tag she rudely rolled her eyes & said it with a nasty tone & because I didn't' get her name I asked her for a business card in which she just rolled her eyes & flicked her hand towards where the cards were but yet never handed it to me.  I asked her if anything can be done (knowing dang well she was not a manager) & she said no & reexplained the process which she heard being explained to me since she was standing next to Karina.  Her tone & attitude along with her nasty facial expressions only upset me more as no one would take accountability for the wrong information provided a simple apology would have sufficed but instead the hostess next to Karina preferred to be rude & nasty to me. Still I was not rude, just a firm tone showing I was not happy with the outcome. I just walked away & went outside seeing that this girl would rather be rude than truly try to help. Even a fake call to management or pretending to see if she could do anything would have been better than the nasty attitude she preferred to give. I went back outside to join the rest of my party when my daughter asked if I had even received the initial text that we were on the waitlist. Knowing I didn't, I went back inside to confirm we were on the list &change it to my daughter's phone number. As Karina tried to find my initial reservation (which by the way although Karina didn't provide me the right info, she was never rude to me, she just stayed quiet & helped, maintained professional the whole time when I would talk to her). During this moment of her looking for my initial reservation I hear a very rude voice next to me say something like "what do you want" I turned to the side to see who was speaking so rude not knowing he was addressing me & responded with a bit of a tone I'm just trying to get a good number on my reservation because I never received a text message when I arrived. That's when the "fake manager" stated I removed you off the list. I turned to look at her. At this point I'm pissed & ask her why she would do that. She replied with a "what are you going to do about it attitude" because you told me too. I stated I never asked her too why I would do that after driving an hour to this location. which at that point the manager in a nasty tone Bobby JO stated well it doesn't matter because we're not putting you on the list & you have to leave. At this point I don't care anymore the service is not what I wanted to celebrate the reason we were there initially.   I don't know what is wrong with this place but I WILL NEVER step into this location either.  To top it off the manager had the audacity to contact my daughter the next day after her review to call her a liar and as he LIED that he was there the whole time until my daughter called him out, he is lying then he stated oh well that's what I was told happened. read more

Seen this place when I lived in New Jersey and always heard good things about it even though it's a chain restaurant. Place opens at 4pm and it runs specials from 4-6 pm like there $2.75 domestic beer or the countless amount of dinner specials under $10. I had the 6oz sirloin which was actually pretty good. Tender, flavorful, and well cooked. They also have peanuts and bread they serve with butter and this is free..honestly I got real full and I'm not a small guy. Manager comes asks how's the food and doesn't see my drinks need to be refilled or takes the dirty plates I've neatly arranged at the end of the table. It was my first time at Texas Roadhouse and wanted to say that I was super impressed with the staff that I interacted with, with the food and the portion size. I placed a to-go order at the outside counter and the lovely lady who took my order was very helpful and made suggestions that I did not even know that they had on their menu like the cinnamon honey butter. Which is supper yummy!!!!! When I picked up my order, the server person read me back my order to make sure everything was correct and then the Manager of the To- Go area introduced herself and gave me a little welcome package for being a first time customer.
