This is one of our go to restaurants when we want steaks or ribs but don't want to pay more than $30/head. And the food is great. I ordered the 20oz bone in rib eye medium rare on my last meal here. Voila! Perfect. Lately at other restaurants I have been trouble getting this. Even got into an argument with the manager at that Australian chain about what medium rare means. Oh, my wife had prime rib and her's was also perfect. Drinks here are not special. Something they can work on and the only reason I've knocked the rating to 4 stars. I love Texas Roadhouse. I have only been to this location once. It was a Sunday evening and I wanted to take my niece to dinner before heading back to Dallas. She lives in Katy so this was the perfect location. The only bad thing about coming on a weekend is the wait time. After talking and catching up for about 30 minutes or more, we decided to go to the bar and have a drink while waiting for our table. Just as we sat down and got comfortable to order, our disc started buzzing so we headed back to the main entrance. LOL Once seated at our table, we both looked over the drink menu and my niece said I should try Kenny's Cooler. It was very good. FYI- They can add an extra shot to your drink. I didn't know this at the time but we were fine with our drinks. I usually get a New York Strip or Ft. Worth Ribeye but since I planned on driving back to Dallas after dinner, I decided to get the Road Kill. Another suggestion from my niece. Great choice. She ordered Chicken Tenders with Fries. I couldn't eat all my food so she took my left overs home. Everything was perfect. Our waitress was awesome too. We were just in time to watch them dance. I've been to some really great steakhouses, some very expensive. While I admit they may be better quality steaks at the prime steakhouses, I think I like Texas Roadhouse just as much or more. We always get Togo because we have a toddler. It gets really frustrating when every time we get food to go something is messed up, and the Togo staff is extremely rude and acts like we're lying. It's to the point I have to ask them not to walk away from the car before I check the food. I have never went without having something wrong or missing. I am giving this location 4 stars for the service! I came here on Saturday and am finally writing this draft. Our server Ryan was very busy. It was a packed Saturday during lunch and we were craving roadhouse so bad. I was craving rolls and a chicken fried sirloin. My partner always seems to get either a 12oz or 23oz steak. It's incredible how big of a piece of meat you can order. The food was absolutely delicious and the rolls were piping hot. Ryan had a few other tables besides ours and one was a table of 8-10. He handled it perfectly. Brought us everything we needed and came to check up on us as frequently as he could. Our sprite was low on syrup and he quickly went to go get it fixed and did so with no problem. The only complaint I had was I found a decently sized chunk of ice in my salad. It was a little off putting, but the service was so good I didn't even tell our server. The food is amazing here especially for a chain. I am craving a steak as I type this. We asked the hostess for a specific table and she rolled her eyes at us and said no it's not available even though no one was sitting there. The restaurant was filthy, the service was horrible. Server never asked how our food tasted. From the beginning to the end no one smiled at us. Saw an employee eating in the kitchen. No manager in sight checking on the tables. Our server Michael was very courteous and very respectful towards us. We came in for last nights dinner shift and got great service and had a good experience on that end. Each time he brought us our rolls they were piping hot and he made sure to keep them coming; which let's be honest they are quiet fantastic. I got the 6oz sirloin and ribs which where both very good. My only real complaint is that the ribs tasted a bit dry. If it werent for the sauce they would not have tasted all that amazing which should not be the case for ribs. The sirloin was cooked perfectly good though. I did not need any extra sauce to eat it. The ceaser salad I would say to ask for the dressing on the side because they tend to drown the salad in dressing. I like that, however my cousin did not sense she does have a sensitive stomach. Let me start you off by saying the service was simply amazing. Our waiter explained the menu very well and let us even pick out our own steaks. It was my friends birthday and we ended up with a free dessert at the end. The salad bar comes with any steak. This was probably one of my favorite parts the salad bar Was primed with a good selection of pastas cheeses and breads along with salad croutons bacon bits, etc. favorite thing from there had to be their cheesy bread. As for the steaks, I got the t bone which was very well cooked. It was fatty and seared extremely well. Although the 60 dollar premium is to be noted. The side of baked potato was exquisite and loaded to the brim with their classic toppings. I made a reservation for 11 a week in advance and waited 2 hours to eat, after I was told 30-40 minutes. My guess is that they were overbooked, because people were wrapped around the building waiting saying they too had reservations. They did not accommodate the extra person of my party and gave us some bs excuse about they couldn't give us an extra chair because it was a safety hazard. Remind you we were put in the front left side of the building in the corner which used to be the waiting area. Therefore no one would be passing through or trying to get by. The service was slow, we ordered drinks we never got. It was my daughter's birthday also her first time there and myself nor our party was pleased. When we asked her why she said that she was only checking on tables that had food already. Well that wasn't true because none of the other tables had food yet, everyone had beverages and bread. I got a to-go order of a total of 4 baked potatoes and paid an extra $4 for each of them to be loaded. I got home and realized I have 1 little cup of bacon, 1 little cup of butter, 1 little cup of sour cream, and 2 little cups of cheese. The cups were half full too and barely even covered for one potato! Pretty disappointed and upset that I got charged for something I did not even get. On top of that it's MOTHERS DAY and I was bragging to my mom about how good their baked loaded potatoes were. We got to eat DRY UNLOADED ROCK POTATOES with our steak for Mother's Day!!! Texas Roadhouse has to be one of the most affordable places to have a nice steak dinner. We visit quite often and try to arrive between 4 & 6 pm which allows us to not only take advantage of the $9.99 meals Monday through Thursday, but we avoid any wait or overcrowding situation. I'm fairly predictable and order the same meal every time, but my boyfriend has tried a few other varieties offered. I get the 6 ounce sirloin with salad and steamed broccoli. More often than not, we both order the exact same thing, but I like mine extra well-done (I know, everyone says it's more flavorful and tender if you don't burn it, but I can't do pink) & his is medium rare. Of course, we always fill up on the amazing yeast rolls (he likes cinnamon butter, I like regular butter) and have been known to eat 2 baskets. I've also ordered their margaritas, which are really strong, just like I like. He prefers unsweet iced tea with the pink sweetener. He never has had to ask for a refill as the waitstaff is one step ahead of any needs we have. The salad is always fresh and ice cold. It's so good, but I eat really slowly and the meal is served before I eat even half. Not complaining at all. I don't particularly like salad, but I eat it because it's good for me. The only thing missing would be a pepper packet since we both like it on our salad. I do miss the days when al this was on the table, however, Covid changed things. I didn't know until recently that steamed broccoli was an option so I've tried the fries before. I don't care for steak fries, but I didn't need them anyway. I LOVE the broccoli! It's cooked perfectly and is mostly florets. Yum! The steak is great, as well, & it's not fatty or gristly either. I also get A1, too. I've been told I wouldn't need any if I ordered my steak like a normal person. The service is always excellent and we feel like valued customers with every worker we've encountered. I feel I need to mention that the bathroom is very clean and I was so impressed last week when I saw a waitress thoroughly washing her hands, turning it off with a paper towel and opening the door with the towel, too. She probably had cleaner hands than a doctor when they scrub in! Also, the music is country and I love it! When the restaurant fills up, the chatter drowns it out, which is ok, too. I'm glad they don't overcompensate by cranking up the volume. I avoid places where you have to scream just to be heard & their volume is perfect. Placed at the bar started out quite good until one of the bar tenders Gina decided we are blocking space for friends she promised spaces at the bar. Within minutes we suddenly got the check without asking for it and just by asking why we got the check the explanation was that they think we should quit drinking because they think we had enough. They blocked free seats at the bar for a long time not paying attention to potential customers just wanting to have a dinner and a drink at the bar. This behaviour is not acceptable especially to long year customers. The acting managers are nothing more then puppet on the strings because they spend more time with the bar tenders in the bar area instead really doing their job as a so called managers. This Road House is reigned meanwhile by a Mafia instead of a real management. The managing partner is nothing more then a invisible person because in all the years he did not show up to comfort his customers. Summary? Twin cousins birthday dinner was ruined by rude waitress Izzy. Party of 10 with a reservation came in and was seated. However we were seated at two table across from each other. Izzy came over, giving her the benefit of the doubt, as if she was having a bad day and didn't want to be there she took our drink order and when one of us started ordering drinks for the kids she immediately snapped and said that's not her table and walked away. When she brought our drinks we explained how we are one party split between the two tables RIGHT ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER. And she rudely interrupted and said "well whoever took your reservation should have told you that there would be two different waitresses, two different tickets two tables. You can talk to the manager if you want to try and get the same waitress." And proceeded to walk away. To her defense, whomever sat our party should have had the foresight to put us in the same section with the same server, but Izzy's attitude sucked. Both were yummy; yet, i liked the fried pickles better, and thought Outback could do the onion blossoms a little bit better. I had the chicken fried steak as entree this time. it was one big piece of thin sirloin fried, and the batter was not too thick so i liked it a lot! what made it really good was the cream gravy; you could ask for brown gravy if you would not like country gravy. One friend got the prime rib, of which I tried a little piece, and it tasted good and tender. The other three friends all got the ribeye steaks, and none of us did not enjoy the foods! Like I mentioned how delicious the chili was in the previous review, Texas Roadhouse has one of the best chili i have ever had!!
