We were seated in 20 minutes. Our waitstaff Nyasa, was excellent. We had some difficulties which the kitchen manager, CEASAR NIETO WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. HE WAS COLD MISERABLE AND UNCARING to our situation. We had to move our seats to suit his needs.. On top of that, two of our meals came out wrong, and had to be sent back. The food is really not good. We were very disappointed as we had waited a while to go there. We went here for dinner and a customer's kid threw up right in front of our table. Customers were walking towards the bathroom, but were unaware of the vomit in the middle of the floor. The staff was not quick to block it off nor give us either another table or offer to pay for our food. The ribs were fairly decent, but nothing to call good cooking, more like a liquid smoke flavor was added, and the appetizers and food we ordered was not worth money to pay for. The cinnamon butter is ok, but better served with breakfast or a special dish prepared for this butter. We wont go back to this restaurant, as this is not our idea of anything remotely related to Texas. There are more beer advertisement's on the wall and surrounding area than there is anything to do with Texas and or ribs. Not everyone is a beer drinker, and to us, we rather go to a family dinner place with a great chef for these types of home cooking, if you will. I say ditch the beer signs, as it seems you are pushing alcoholic beverages, which is not healthy, and certainly not a good message for children and teenagers. I don't recommend this place at all. This place is usually very busy. Once you walk in and get your number, you can view the steaks on display and pick one out for your meal. It offers all homemade sides and good food and drinks. The biscuits with the cinnamon butter are really good. I have their great strawberry margarita and then a bud light lime to finish my meal with. I have dined here several times and always walk out completely satisfied with both my experience and food there. The atmosphere is fun and casual. I Unfortunately, those with peanut allergies should not dine here because immediately when you walk-in, there are buckets of in-shell peanuts for the customers to enjoy and throw the shells on the floor. Children love the place because they can make a mess and not get repremended. The food was excellent and the portions are filling. Waiter was unattentive- had to ask multiple times for lemon, etc... The butterflied filet mignon was unevenly cooked. Sent it back twice. After the third time, I gave up and ate it- burnt on the outside and still unevenly cooked on the inside. After the steak was sent back a second time, they brought me my baked potato (rancid). They should have made me a NEW steak. But after 3 different people (including the manager) remarked to me that this is the most expensive cut of steak... Our first time there. Crowded and very high noise level, fueled by loud Country music blaring through a cheezy-sounding system. Impossible to converse without raising your voice. Ok if you're partying with kids, not ok if you want to eat in relative peace. Food: Rolls with an oily film on them, over-salted fried pickles were way overcooked, almost burned. My 1/2 BBQ chicken was ok, but small - not what I'd regard as entree size. "Flavored" rice side reeked of burned garlic and tasted sour, flavorless applesauce side had enough sugar to make your teeth hurt. My wife's steak was unimpressive, but OK. Her steak fries were the best thing on the table. I just don't get the lure of this place. I didn't expect gourmet food or service from a theme chain; maybe I ordered the wrong things; maybe the chef was having a bad day. I can overlook a crowd, but the food was terrible. read more

My husband and I made reservations for tonight with our 3 kids, as we expected it would be packed for valentine's day. It was absolutely filled to the brim, with a line forming outside the building. We come here every so often and absolutely love it, but tonight I was absolutely amazed with the service! The place was literally over flowing with people, but the service was not affected at all. The food was perfectly made to order, no mix ups whatsoever, and our waitress was truly amazing. Even as we were leaving EVERY SINGLE employee we walked by thanked us for coming in and gave us some sort of exit greeting. You would never guess they were serving hundreds of people. Truly amazing to offer such great service and hospitality on one of the busiest restaurant days of the year, without a single hiccup. My husband and I used to enjoy going to the Kingston Texas RH but as time went on I got more and more annoyed by the extreme noise level of the music primarily. I asked to be seated where it was least noisy and a few times asked that the music be turned down. Funny, they have a huge picture and almost "section" devoted to Willy Nelson (love him) but they said that they have none of his music to play. Instead, they play the worst commercial stuff - disappointing, if you're a fan of "real" country. I never found the food to be bad except for some dry pulled pork once. Their hamburgers and ribs were very good. The portions are big. The prices are fine. That said, the last time we went there, with me dreading the noise, we were waiting for a table (not long) and I noticed how really dirty the waiting area was. Looked like the floor had not been cleaned or swept in a long time, with bits of trash under the benches and seats. When I see uncleanliness I get very turned off. I have worked in the food business and I know what can go on behind the scenes as well - not good. We did eat there that day but I had noticed in the past that the restaurant had been grubby (like tables not looked not clean enough). That time did it. We haven't gone back. Too bad because they have some dishes I really like. We never had a problem with the service. PS: Don't know why this site says I'm from San Francisco but I live in New York State. read more

We have visited often, with a 50% chance of a good meal. Tonight was terrible! My husband's Meat wasn't cooked as ordered- not even close, we had to flag down waitstaff in order to be waited on ( after 15 minutes), my meat looked like it was sitting out all day (shriveled and cold!). The manager on duty took mine off, but it was still over priced for what we got and could eat!! Food was great as always. Usually the service is excellent, but this last time we had Darcy or Derby can't remember her name, but the service was terrible. It took over an hour to get our food, the manager came out showing us when it was ordered. We had been at our table for at least 35 minutes before the order was even rung in. People seated well after us had eaten and left before we had even gotten our food. It was a very disappointing experience and seems to be very uncharacteristic based on our prior visits. Our family likes the food (appetizers, steaks, ribs and chicken) and the drinks, however, they do not like going because the place is way too loud. We've been here multiple times and it is almost always too loud to enjoy yourselves. It is very difficult to carry on a conversation. Not sure if some sound deadening materials can be used to soften it up a little. The birthday celebratory song and clapping that the servers do may be enjoyed (or may be embarrassing to) by the birthday person but the sound is over the top. Overall, love the food, but the decibel level needs to go down. Personal preference??? I would say all 5 family members would agree to this. I miss the ribs but can't get the family to go back because of the noise level. read more

I think the steaks (I recommend the Dallas Filet and Prime Rib) and sides (great baked beans) are very good. My only issue with this place is that going here to have a meal and chat with friends is very difficult. The country music (gak! - yeah, I know, it's "Texas" roadhouse) is massively loud and the dancing gimmick can be rather annoying. My girlfriend and I eat out quite frequently and I have to say that our service here was among the best !!! We were greeted promptly and seated right away. Our server Jim came right over and asked if we'd been there before to which we replied "no", he then proceeded to explain some key points about the way things happen at his restaurant. Later the assistant Mgr came up and acknowledged that we were 1st timers and proceeded to thank us for coming in. The management created the way things happen here, but the staff truly brought it all together. Everyone working there looked very happy to be there. It was very refreshing. But to sum it all up, if you can be seated in Jim's section, do it....he was amazing !!!! (and Jim did not pay me for this endorsement...lol) read more

I visited the Kingston location for dinner where we were waited on by Caroline. Caroline was hands down the most rude server I have ever had. I asked for a margarita that was made with a silver tequila and she informed me they only have margitas that are premade but would see what the bartender could do. She came back with a premade margarita (I'm a bartender, I know what a fresh margarita tastes like). I did not bring this to her attention I just took the drink. 15 minutes later she returned with the water I had asked for when I ordered my margarita and finally took our order. I asked for the chicken fried steak which she gave me a huge attitude about and said chicken fried chicken or sirloin? I said sirloin and she rolled her eyes and said "whatever". The rest of the night she was slow and inattentive, everyone else's dinner came out but mine came out ten minutes after with no explanation or apology. She never came back to check on our table once. We had to ask tor the check which also took a while. At this point the restaurant was pretty cleared out. Everyone else was pleased with their meals, I couldn't even cut through mine so it sat there uneaten. Maybe if she asked how it was I would have let her know. I would give her zero stars if possible. How hard is it to be polite when you know you're getting a tip at the end? read more

Management need to revisit the companies Code of Conduct and Ethic Policies (especially Paul and Jaclyn). A fee weeks ago I ate here; I ordered a burger to go - well done. When I got home the burger was raw. Rather than driving 12 miles back to the restaurant, I called. Jaclyn took my information and informed me the next time I return, I will receive a free burger. Well, I returned on Sunday, 7/26, to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Jaclyn was nowhere to be found, I spoke with Paul, he basically alluded that I was seeking a free meal. So last night I called to place a togo order and was told I could not get the early bird special on a take out order. Now I have been going there and getting my food to go for at least the last 6 months. However I was told on the phone that policy was no longer in effect as of yesterday. When I got there I checked there togo menu and didnt see anything stating that fact. I spoke to the manager and she agreed it was not posted but yes I could get the earlybird special.. I got my order and went home onluy to find my order was totally screwed up. I ordered Country Fried CHICKEN with extra white gravy on the side. What I got was Country Fried STEAK no extra gravy. I called to tell them my order was not right and was put on hold for more than ten minutes and then I was disconnected. by that time I was done. read more

I will not be visiting this Texas Roadhouse again. First, the wait is always extremely long (even with call ahead) and the service slow. The first time I went, our food was good and seemed to be prepared well. However, there was a long hair in my pulled pork. It was completely mixed in and when I was a few bites in it came up on my fork with the rest of the hair still buried somewhere in the dish. So gross! I called the waitress over and with an attitude she said it must be MY hair... I don't think so! I asked for a new plate and with a huff she did go to get me a new one. She brought back the "new" plate which was clearly the same one she had just taken away, with my half-eaten roll still on it. Needless to say I did not finish the meal. I usually try to reserve judgement, as it could have been an off night and unfortunate that one particular waitress has poor customer service skills. That being said, I did go back one more time. A friend and I went for dinner. Still a long wait, still slow service. She got a chicken dish and I got a steak. My steak was actually pretty good and she did enjoy her chicken at the time. Within a few hours of leaving the restaurant my friend got violently ill. She went to the doctor the next morning and was told she had food poisoning. We called the restaurant, asked for the manager and informed them. We were given an attitude and told no one else had gotten sick. That may be true, but she clearly had food poisoning. All it takes is one piece of chicken to be undercooked for someone to get a food born illness. I will definitely not be going here again. I question their food safety practices and their customer service is lacking. read more
