We had a bit of wait to be seated on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The bread was delicious to start off the meal. I order a six ounce steak medium rare. Half the steak was cooked medium rare the other half was medium well. The vegetables tasted like they were cooked in butter. Overall thoroughly underwhelming experience. Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite things to eat.My favorite is the chicken critters dipped in BBQ and ranch.I am very disappointed that they changed the recipe so they aren't crispy anymore,now they taste just like a normal chicken tender..the old recipe made them have a unique taste. Also the rolls and butter are the best,wish they would fill the butter cup more,felt like there wasn't enough butter for 4 rolls...I need more of that yummy butter.The waitresses are always super friendly and always smiling.I love the environment and the country music playing all the time. read more

Don't write angry... is that an expression? Well too bad because I'm still sitting in my booth and I'm less than pleased. I don't come here often, but I have shockingly bad luck with getting my steak cooked correctly. How hard is medium, especially when the other two at the table get their steaks medium also? The wait staff was very polite about it, and took it back. Unfortunately, it took until my family was done with their food for me to get mine. The manager hand delivered it with a concerned look and waited while I cut into it. It was better, but not oh-yeah-now-we're-talking better. And when we got the bill, I was charged full price. Even though I also said I wasn't that hungry anymore (those damn rolls!!!) but didn't want to take it home because leftover steak... no thanks. Normally I would have complained, but it's my husband's birthday and the family isn't crazy about mom getting... crazy (their words, not mine). Visiting my son at college and wanted to treat him to a nice steak dinner after two months of dorm food. The Roadhouse was a fun place to eat with tasty baked potatoes, fries and other sides. However, the steaks were average at best. I had the T-Bone and my son had a the Dallas filet. These were most definitely choice cuts and tasted like it. Gotta admit, I love Texas Roadhouse. If I'm hungry and there happens to be one nearby, you'll find me there. The prices are the best and the steaks are handcut. They don't always get the desired temp and the steaks can vary but they aren't frozen. I always go for the 6 oz. sirloin, comes with choice of two sides and all the rolls you can eat for $8.99. Service here was pretty good. I ordered my steak medium well, but when I cut into it, it was obviously well done. The waitress graciously took it back to the kitchen and had them redo it. A manager brought my new steak out, which was done correctly, and apologized for the inconvenience. My meal was pretty basic (steak, baked potato, side salad), but it was pretty good. Holy crap, if you want some really good steak at a decent price, this is the place to go. They cut all their own steaks daily, and as any steak lover knows, what makes a steak good is the way it's cooked, what makes a steak great, is the way it's cut. I know that they actually cut their own steaks because I ordered a steak and was told that they were out of that cut and I could wait for them to cut more, but it might take a while. Very seriously good food here in general, but one of the best steak houses i've been to. The only way you'll get better steak, is if you want to pay $100 a plate. read more

I was new to Michigan and I disappointed by the BBQ places in Lansing until coming here. I had ribs and pulled pork and a side of veggies. Man, those were some good BBQ. Literally, fall off the bone ribs and moist/flavorful pulled pork. I even really liked the steamed veggies on the side. Tasted fresh and well seasoned. (Thank You for actually seasoning your food) I'm a very picky eater and even though this was my first time coming here, I was impressed. Will be coming back. read more

They don't have amazing steaks - but they do have very good steaks for a good price, which is why i gave them a 5. Maybe something like ruth-chris has better steaks, but their steaks are 3-4x times the price which is why i've never tried them. I tried this place for the first time tonight and was very happy. Everything tasted good. The bread was good. The steamed vegetables were good. The steak fries were good. The steak was good. The ribs were good. The pulled pork was good. Everything was seasoned well and cooked well. My steak had very little fat or gristle. My friends rib - meat just fell off the bone and had a really good flavor, as did my steak. The service was really good too. We never had an empty glass. We had bread on the table as soon as we sat down and had a refill before we finished the first basked of bread. All in all, a really good steak house i would definitely go back to. read more

Come here with some coworkers one night. For a chain restaurant, this location is probably what their corporate office wants them all to be. We all had a Filet Mignon, each with varying done-ness. For me... knock off the horns, wipe it's (part under the tail) and put it on the plate. It was seared and seasoned perfect. Sweet potato with cinnamon butter. I couldn't stop eating the dinner roles...again with the cinnamon butter. The deep fried pickles were ordered and I actually enjoyed those as well. My dinner buddies all loved their selections. The waiter was very attentive and kept the glasses full and the food brought out hot...not after it was overcooked under a heating lamp waiting for delivery to the table. This place is amazing, the wait staff are always quick, friendly and they always bring their A-game. The food is always drool worthy when we come in, its fresh, hot and quickly arrives to your table. The waitress spilled hot sauce all over us. She offered an apology but did not comp any part of the meal. We still tipped because we knew it was a mistake. Although, due to the mess on our clothes, we ate and left in a hurry only to realize my sunglasses valued at over $800 were left behind, on the table. Returning an hour later, of course my glasses were not turned in by staff. The manager by the name of Cutler offered to let me look in the lost an found but was sure to state "its not our responsibility". Poor service, thieving staff. We visited this restaurant recently to celebrate our anniversary. We have been to other locations and have always been happy. The staff was very friendly. We were a bit disappointed about our meals. One of our steaks was clearly freezer burned and taste was something to be desired. The other steak was burnt. My boyfriend and I were here on a date and obviously got the best waitress there. She's was friendly, genuine, and was on point with all her service. I was surprised when she said she was having a off day because she was the best waitress we've ever had there. She didn't make one mistake. She should definitely should be valued as an employee she's gold. She definitely deserves a raise or some recognition. We walk into a huge busy chaotic scene. We go to our table that the hostess led us to, but it was still dirty so she led us to another table. She brought us bread (very good, and great cinnamon butter, highlight of the night!), but no plates so that was awkward...(She seemed new so I'm gonna cut her some slack.) The waitress seemed fake. (She rolled her eyes at me.) It seems like every 5 minutes there was a birthday scene where the birthday person had to stand on the table while they sang to them EXTREMELY loudly. Then there was a bug in our peanuts. Then when our food came, the waitress didn't warn me that the plate was hot so that kinda hurt. Then half way through my burger I bit down on a marshmallow. Just got home from having dinner. As usual the food and our server was excellent. But, I was disturbed to see an elderly woman forced out of her wheelchair in order to be accommodated at a table as requested. This location is always swamped and people are packed in like sardines. Better planning is a must! This current atmosphere screams "don't bother coming if you're in a wheelchair". Love the bread of course. Early Friday, so no waiting! Server Korah was attentive and helpful. Food was very tasty (sirloin and shrimp combo). Wife's steak was a little dry. Kitchen sent out a plain baked potato instead of loaded, which is weird. Who eats a plain baked potato? I mean, dry with no butter or anything! Server fixed their mistake quickly so it was a minor inconvenience. Timing and location was perfect to catch a movie at Celebration Cinema.
