My prime rib was good but my daughter steak was WAY over cooked ... policy states it should be free but was still charged full price even though she had to wait for them to cook a new one. Our waitress never ask to refills my daughters drinks until I asked for the check but little to late for that because I was already to go. I like this chain. Decent steaks, tasty bread starters, and consistent menu. My visit today, however, highlighted downside you can encounter at Texas Roadhouse. The steak (10oz ribeye) came medium well, even though I ordered it medium. It's not a huge deal, but when you pay $16 for a steak, it should be cooked to order. The other issue is that 50% of the time the steak comes warm but not hot. Again, if I was laying $8 for a cheap steak or understand it not coming piping hot. But this should not be the case here. Finally, one thing that frustrated me when using the restroom was that they don't have towels to dry your hand. No paper or cloth towels. Only an air dryer. Worse, they have skimped to buying the slowest, cheapest air dryers possible. Basically they are incapable of actually drying your hands within a reasonable amount of time. All in all, a disappointment from a restaurant that I actually like their menu. read more

I really hate leaving bad reviews, especially when businesses are struggling. My hope is that the owner sees this and then I can delete it. The last two times we've been here, our food has been lukewarm , almost cold. Tonight was no different, except the chicken we ordered was so over cooked and dry I couldn't eat it. My husband can eat anything so he cleared his plate. I did mention it to the waitress, who was very nice, so hopefully she'll pass it on. I can't count how many times we've gone to Texas Roadhouse, which happens to be my favorite restaurant. Their dinner rolls are served piping hot & fresh with their delicious honey butter. Their waitress/waiters are hopping fast & you don't have to wait long for any request you might need. The food is delicious, amazingly delicious & I always bring home leftovers. My friends and I would frequent Weekly, sometimes 2-3 times a week. We always had a beer and steak at the bar. The bartenders who once waited on us were always personable and would visit with us and of course we enjoyed the overall experience so much that we always expressed our appreciation and gratitude. Everything changed for the worst during covid, but we tolerated some of the nonesense. But even after Ducey lifted the mandate, the antics continued. I honestly believe as others I know who witnessed the same horrible service and attitude from the wait staff that Texas Roadhouse has gotten to big for their britches. Being rude means nothing to them. What happened to working for tips but there are so many customers waiting in the street to get in the Bartenders not only don't care or try to be customer service friendly, they have gone to extremes to be rude. It's so apparent that they don't need or care about your business. These same bartenders who once were so personable have turned so ugly. Maybe they are making too much money, if there is such a thing and I do believe that to be true. Snappung rudely at a customer who is merely asking a seating question, as if i'm supposed to know their new policies, is ludicrous. The rude attitude from the bartenders and door girls have gotten so extreme, so horrible that we all refuse to go back. In fact, we found a wonderful replacement at Applebee's across the parking lot. I never use to like it there but in contrast to TR, Applebee's blows them away. Not only are they welcoming and professional the bartenders and door girls are friendly and accommodating. They help you find a seat not tell you no! no! no! Plus, applebee's offers a two for $22. that's two steaks two sides each and! and appetizer to share . So much more value. yes a no brainer! They fall all over us! Hey, we matter to them! They are earning our business and loyalty Texas! Why don't you go over there and see how it's done. They even served us water without asking. They anticipated our needs. it's arizona! it's hot! They are kicking your ass!! The bartenders are accommodating and the over all experience put Texas roadhouse to shame. My last rude encounter at Texas Roadhouse, one of many, was going to the door girl asking her if we needed a mask to go to bar. She replied no. As I entered the bar the bartender who used to be so friendly peered at me waiting to pounce. I said hello using his name asking him if we could sit at the 4 top as we had done BC, before covid, he gladly told me NO! You Can't! you have to check in at the hostess stand, (the same girl i asked about masks who knew i was going to the bar ? hmm, thinking to myself, why didn't she mentioned that)? As everyone at the bar turned to look at me, I settled for two seats at the bar which were available. So I responded back to this rude bartender that ok then I'll take the two chairs available at the bar but again, he was only too eager to shoot me down with a firm No! you need to check in at the hostess stand. What? to sit at the bar? The bar was packed People sitting shoulder to shoulder. BC the bar was always, as most all bars are, first come first serve. people are sitting shoulder to shoulder so what is the purpose of this checking in to sit at the bar? Ridiculous, and his tone? well, let's just say he must be making too much money that he can treat customers, past steady patrons for years, so rudely. As for the food, the last time I actually ate there, which was probably a month ago, I had to return my steak twice. Once it was raw, no biggy, then the second one was all fat stringy and chewy, huh? it was horrible by the third time I told her forget it, I just told them it was ok, not going for a third shot I felt like i was being a pain to them but I couldn't accept this. I was polite of course but very disappointed No apologies no consideration. Neither steak was edible one raw inside the other so tough chewy and stringy, I wasn't able to eat it. Will not be back at least to this location. I may try the one in Mesa but we will continue to take our money and business to Applebee's where we are treated with respect and appreciation and enjoy the value and service which far exceeds Texas Roadhouse. read more

Not sure what is going on at this location, sadly the food quality has really gone down hill in the last month. We have been enjoying lunch at this location, every Friday for almost a year. The food has been excellent and always cooked exactly as order, however, on our last 3 visits, it has been a complete disappointment. Steak ordered medium was rare, country fried steak was burnt on 2 visits, and grilled pork chop, which was always perfect before has been also over cooked and a bad cut of meat on 2 visits. Side dishes have been way over salted, like someone spilled the salt shaker into prep. Table side peanuts are under roasted or stale tasting. We are big fans of this franchise but it's obvious that something is wrong at this location. Maybe lost an experienced manager? IDK, but please correct and get back to TRH standards. On a positive note, the wait staff is still excellent and aim to please. Service is fast. Going to try one last time this week. Hoping they have figured out their management and quality control. ***Update*** Came back as promised today for lunch, everything was flawless! The peanuts were fresh and crispy; the rolls were soft and heavenly; our meat was cooked perfectly and full of flavor ( I had the grilled pork chop and the Mr. had grilled chicken); bakes potatoes were fluffy and had just the right amount of loaded ingredients. So my family has been going to this location for the past 3 years, I take my wife and my mother to dinner here every Friday since my father passed away in 2020, it helps my mom cope. Every single Friday I order the same thing every time. In addition to 5 Jamaican cowboy's as they are delicious indeed. However, the manager on duty tonight, Lindsay, told me that she didn't feel comfortable serving me 5 Jamaican Cowboy's because it was too much alcohol to serve 1 person. First of all, it has Malibu rum, which is not a high alcohol content, second, it has peach Schnapps....again very little alcohol content, and this pathetic test tube shot of patron, which is not even close to a real shot at all. I drop more than 200.00 every Friday at this establishment up until now. I will NEVER go back to this place ever again! I feel as though I was singled out for whatever reason and I will no longer support this Texas Roadhouse. I hope they get better management that actually wants to bring in revenue, rather than judging their customers based on what they order to drink! read more

I prefer to grill a steak myself, but when the weather is too hot to toil in my back yard I will end up here before any place else. The only reason it's not five stars is because at night the wait is always crazy long and it's way too loud for my taste with the birthday calls and the line dancing and such. Last four out of five times, my steak has been well done even though I requested medium rare. Went here Saturday evening with a friend. There was a 45minute wait, they said they would text us when our table was up so we went to look around the stores surrounding them. I thought that was nice they do that and I found out you can call in and put your name on the waiting list as well. Our waitress was super nice, and always checking on us!! The food was delicious as well and the margarita drink she recommended me was super yummy and not too sweet. Very rare do I eat here but from the service and food that day I will definitely be going back. As always, the food was excellent. I had the ribs, and they were so tender that they slid right off the bone. The sauce is great too. My wife had a Long Island iced tea. The secret to getting the best one is to order it with top shelf liquor. There is a big difference. My only complaint continues to be the noise. There is absolutely no sound deadening material in the place. It's kind of like eating dinner in a tin can. Seriously, the noise level is disturbing. They really need to address this issue. Terrible experience tonight ordering online. We got our order home and discovered that none of our sides were included and instead only a bunch of mushrooms. I know firsthand I'm not crazy and didn't order a bunch of mushrooms!!! I ordered 2 sides for each steak I ordered and an additional order of mushrooms per order. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to a very rude and unprofessional manager who argued with me about the order. After debating with me she dynamite agreed to get my sides together and then stated that she would charge me for 3 sides of mushrooms. To add insult to injury none of our steaks are labeled so I don't even know which one is the 8 ounce versus the 2 - 6 ounce streaks. We have been loyal Texas roadhouse customers for years I have never been treated this way over something so trivial. I wasn't asking to get my whole meal comped all I wanted was my sides to be prepared so I could pick them up. She was insistent on charging me for the mushrooms which to me is just a shame considering we now have to drive back to the restaurant to get our sides and now our steaks are cold. I know I would never handle the situation as she did. The correct thing would've been to apologize for the mishap for whatever reason it happened, offered to get the sides together for us for pick and apologize for the mishap. Refused service... Walked in about 7pm to buy a half dozen rolls to take out. There were 4-5 people working the front desk. They easily could have done it. Done it a dozen times in the past. Today they refused and say that rolls have to be ordered 24hrs in advance. I'm not making a catering order. I just want a few in a box. The manager comped his meal which was nice but it was disgusting nonetheless that he was drinking roach-root beer. I can't even imagine what their kitchen looks like. I thought I would treat myself to food that didn't come from a drive thru window tonight, so I drove a little further for dinner this evening. I have been to Texas Roadhouse multiple times - I love the rolls and the sweet tea. The first thing that was interesting tonight was the pager - they called it a pager, but it wasn't the typical pager device restaurants use - it was a piece of printed receipt paper with a number on it...did the recession kill pagers? Even more interesting was that they gave us a "pager" even though there was one couple in front of us and the wait was about 2 minutes. The bread came out and was hot and excellent as always. The waitress was a bit overly perky - like Spartan Cheerleader perky. Maybe I am getting older, but the place was loud - I could barely hear from friend talking to me. The tea was definitely past-peak; the first glass was better than the second. My friend ordered the roasted chicken and was pleased with the meal. I went with the sirloin and ordered it medium. The waitress brought the meals and I started on the sides, so when she asked how it was, it was fine. When I got to the steak it was well done - no pink, dry and chewy. Now the waitress wasn't to be found. When she finally returned she asked how it was and I let her know it was too well done. She did offer a new one, but I had things to get to, so I declined. She did take it off the bill. The atmosphere was a negative for being loud, the steak was a negative for being miscooked. Although overly spunky, the service was good and she did offer to correct the food. i left her a descent tip, but left unpleased.
