The heavens have opened and blessed us! Praise be Mt. Juliet's Texas Roadhouse!! Okay, maybe that's blasphemy but hear me out. We moved to TN a few weeks ago from NC and I have been CRAVING Texas Roadhouse. However, the one that was closest to us in NC was atrocious, sinful, even. Orders were never ever correct, we ordered the seasoned rice (for take-out) and they literally put the microwave bag of seasoned rice in our bag (which is a fun fact that it's pre-packaged rice), and the final time (yes, we visited over 7 times for His good graces), I got food poisoning. So it's been almost a year since we've been to a Texas Roadhouse since the devil hired management there. Through it all, I wanted to try the chain again but somewhere else, because truth be told, I've never had issues at any other location except for that one. We did our typical take-out order: two chicken fried chicken meals both with seasoned rice (nix the bag), one baked potato, and one mashed potatoes, both with extra gravy. We also ordered 4 extra sides: Caesar salad, macaroni and cheese, fries, and a sweet potato. We also tried the Rattlesnake Bites for the first time, too. We picked up our order which immediately came out (I'm telling you, I have trauma from the last location...every time we did take out, they said it was ready and then we'd wait another 40 minutes just for stuff to be missing). The to-go guy was really nice and asked us if we needed anything else. He was super polite. You guys. Everything was in the bag! Everything was hot! They loaded us up with bread and that sweet sweet butter. Utensils were in there. It was all put in the bag nicely. You have no idea how refreshing this was to us! Mt. My favorite steak house ' my 1st choice always ..not sure what happened on this visit ' it definitely wasn't what was expected. O.k , we choose Texas Roadhouse to our 28th wedding anniversary dinner grabbed our 2 younger kids , loaded the car and entered the guest check in on line ' pulled up to the restaurant' and we're No1 on deck . Quickly taken to our table and we order the appetizer trio ' & drinks ..place our dinner order and now things start to change .wait time is expanding ' others tables getting food that came in after us . We embrace the atmosphere and Now their line dancing as to ' draw attention from the time you're waiting..the order arrives for my son & myself, ' the 1st thing I notice is the color on our porterhouse looks pale yellow ' don't remember that look ' it's cooked right but really tough and chewy ' and really no flavor ( is it old 'or a different cut ' new beef supplier ? my wife & daughter ordered the Dallas filet's med and both came out rare' they sent them back to re cook and after 20 mins their steaks arrive charred outside but still rare inside . My wife wanted to send them back again ' but I told her it would be charcoal when it came back out . Differently a total different food and service experience from the many previous visits . $200.00 tab ' leaving as if maybe ' we should have went somewhere else for our Anniversary. First time at the NEW Texas Roadhouse. Just in between Mt. Juliet and Lebanon! We did the call ahead. Definitely do that! We had a 50 minute wait, not that bad honestly for this area on a Saturday night. The waiting is odd. You get a text to come in, then check into the SECOND hostess station who then places you in some kind of holding pattern and then you stand in everybody's way for another 20 minutes. After being seated, rolls. If you go anywhere else and say their rolls and butter are better than Roadhouse I would have to say "you lyin'!" Rolls could be the meal for certain! After we ate our first basket of goodness, our waitress must have been abducted by aliens because she disappeared for quite some time. Note... it is very loud in this restaurant. Granted it is very busy but all the conversations overlap and it is a bit disorienting. Salads and tater skins came out at the same time, which is perfectly ok with me! But... 30 seconds later, our meal came out. Seriously? An appetizer is supposed to come out before your meal. Not with your meal. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of ordering an appetizer. Salad was drenched in dressing. I would suggest getting the dressing on the side to have how much you want. Order my filet Medium. It was definitely medium rare. I still ate most of it, but the steak was undercooked to what I had asked for. Sweet potato was cooked to perfection. Soft, hot and very good. My wife had the herb crusted chicken. It was very dry. Her baked potato was also cooked well and plenty of butter. Staff was friendly and seemed patient with how busy the restaurant was. We saw our waitress a total of 3 times the entire visit. We have had the pleasure of visiting multiple Texas Roadhouse restaurants in multiple locations and different states. We waited over 2 months to visit this restaurant to allow any of the early "kinks" to work themselves out. I have to say we were both very disappointed in this particular establishment. Hopefully as time progresses it will get better. With it being fairly close to where we live, we had high expectations that were not fulfilled. But... the rolls were still AMAZING! The staff here are incredible!! If I could mention names I would, but it'd be too long! We got our food fairly quick and everyone was very kind. My great grandmother ended up having a medical emergency and had to be taken in an ambulance tonight, and the staff were incredibly helpful and cooperative until EMS arrived. What made it all even better was the kind message written on our to-go boxes, even though it was probably a bit overwhelming. (I know I forgot to ask if my grandmother paid haha...which she did thank goodness) But it's the little things that mean the most, thank you all so much, and if this is seen, she is doing great ;) Definitely recommend! My true rating would be 3.5 but we don't have that ability. It's an above average steakhouse with good prices. I had the 16oz ribeye and my friends had the filet. My medium rare was cooked correctly but my wife's filet came out rare and was supposed to be medium. We both had Caesar salad as one of our sides And it was crispy and fresh. I had the seasoned rice and it was just ok. The crew does a dance every 30 minutes or so. I find this irritating, especially when you're in your booth, trying to eat and they are right next to you, in your space. They seem to start gathering 10 minutes before their routine and standing around the middle of the restaurant. It's a tight squeeze in there as it is and this didn't help. The parking lot was packed and I saw a lot of cars in a spill over dirt lot. I'll return but I do wish some of the staff entertaining would happen less frequently. read more

I was super excited all week to get an opportunity to go to Texas Roadhouse which had just opened in our area and I couldn't be more disappointed. To start, everything was great with the online check in, the fantastic waitress and obviously the rolls and butter. the salads came out and those were great. it went downhill from there. My wife and I ordered our steaks Medium. Hers came out medium rare first and shortly after mine was as well. We chalked it up, busy, not worried about it and they would fix it. My wife's came back and it was still RARE. Mine came back and again, raw. I got frustrated, several managers came over and apologized and at this point I just didn't even want the food. To make matters worse, a THIRD time my steak came back (mind you it was the same steak each time, not a new one) was cut and medium rare AGAIN. Yes, FIVE TIMES, steak was brought out and rare. To this point, I wanted out, didn't want anything at all. They took care of the bill (we ate salad) and I asked them to charge me so I could give a tip to our waitress. The multiple attempts to get it right was frustration considering it was a different manager and they were befuddled that this could happen. Again, I get being busy, it's opening weekend, but three times? It's completely frustrating all week to anticipate coming and for it to be a massive let down. read more

For a newly opened spot, Texas Roadhouse is already hitting its stride. We stopped in to check it out and came away impressed. Kicked things off with an Old Fashioned, well-balanced, and a great start to the meal. I went with the steak and ribs combo, and it absolutely delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly tender and full of flavor while the ribs were fall-off-the-bone with that signature smoky BBQ goodness. Sides held their own too.. the corn was buttery and simple in the best way, and the Caesar salad was fresh and crisp. For a brand-new location, everything felt well-run and polished. Definitely a strong addition to the Mt. Juliet dining scene, and I'll be back soon. read more

Texas Roadhouse is my favorite place to eat. We have eaten at several different locations and had a great experience at all of them. However, if Mt Juliet had been my first time, it would deter me from going back. We had a party of 11 for a birthday celebration. We called ahead and they said they could accommodate us. When we got there they sat us at 2 different tables. When we questioned the server, they said they were new and didn't so large groups yet. Not only were we at 2 different tables, we had 2 different servers. Our food was delicious but we had to ask for our salads. After I had eaten half my entree, I told my server i didn't need the salad now and he said he couldn't take it back. Then when we got ready to pay, we had to pay 2 different checks. So disappointed! Birthday celebration ruined in our favorite place to eat. read more

Well shoot. Act I was really good here. We had a nice hostess and hot rolls. Hit our table right away. The grilled shrimp appetizer was delicious. Act II: I ordered salmon and asked for it to be no more than medium, but it was hard as a brick. My daughter ordered a stake, medium rare, but it was rare, and the fat on the side of the strip had not even kissed the grill. They also told her that her baked potato would be brought to her in a few minutes. That was not the case. We kept getting mixed messages from various people trying to fix our meal. Yes there's a potato, no there's no more potatoes. So basically we didn't really get to eat together because one or both of us was waiting on part of our meal the entire time. What's crazy to me is that we never saw a manager, there was no discount considered for a meal that took probably three times the amount of time we had planned on. One person said that my daughter would not be up charged for any new premium side that she chose since they were out of baked potatoes. And yet we were charged extra for what she ordered. A $70 meal where they don't cook the protein correct at a steakhouse is really crazy. Our server was pretty poor at communicating, and often absent when he was off doing birthday celebrations with people getting on the saddle. We love this chain, but this location we will not return. read more

This restaurant had a lot of hype about finally coming to Mount Juliet and it's been crazy busy since opening. We came because it didn't seem too busy that day and were sat within 20 minutes. Once we were sat, we waited a while to be acknowledged by a server. Once we got someone, we ordered drinks and were told they were out of a specific alcohol so we couldn't get that. Our drinks were too sweet and it took us asking to get waters from our server. Once we ordered our food, it took a long time to get the food, and when it was delivered by the food runner we were told "I don't know what happened to your butter, but it spilled" and it was all over the plate. She didn't offer to get us more butter or even fix it, just delivered a mediocre meal presentation. My husbands filet was ok, the shrimp seemed overcooked and presented on bread that seemed soggy, like it had sat out for too long before getting delivered to the table. My ribeye was overcooked and under seasoned, also didn't have enough butter. We didn't see our sever again for a long time waiting for our check to even ask for more butter for our steaks or to be asked how the food was. There's lots of activity around us with several going all around, but not a lot of attention to the tables. We also heard complaining amongst the servers, which is not professional and doesn't lead to a great experience. read more

Food 3.5 stars Atmosphere 2 stars One of our newest stops in the area. WARNING: THIS PLACE IS LOUD. Hard to have a conversation with everyone trying to yell above the music and birthday announcements. Food is mostly above average. Rolls/butter is the big draw. House salad is bland and limited dressing options. Mashed potatoes are thick and lack flavor other than the gravy overflowing. Filet Medallions are the best, and I hear the grilled chicken is very good. They serve peanuts so allergy people be aware. read more

I went back. Big mistake. I ordered a little something to break my fast. Parked right outside of the "to go" area so I can see everyone who comes and goes out of the restaurant or the employees working the to go. I get a text saying they couldn't find me when I never even saw anyone come out at all. I call inside as the text instructs. They bring it out. I ordered a rolls and a kids meal w/ a salad and Italian dressing. There was no salad dressing or additional topping that I requested. Also had butter but no rolls. I go to the window, tell the girls. I'm being looked at like a deer in headlights. So after saying I'm missing dressing, topping, and rolls.. she brings the rolls and tells me to have a good night. So I then ask about the dressing and topping. She then says they don't have any Italian dressing. I requested a refund and the manager. Andy comes over after I waited 11 minutes. He was nice and very apologetic. But this is the 2nd time I've experienced bad service. He offered to take care of me when I came back. At this point, I'm not sure I'm going back. Was able to preview the best place to get a steak in Mt Juliet before it opens on April 6, 2026. And so glad I did! Been a big fan of this chain for nearly two decades and their newest restaurant is right in line with the high quality food and drink, high energy and excellent service that make Texas Roadhouse one of my favorite chains and places I know I can get an excellent steak. Had a Texas beer and their great hot & fresh bread while I waited for my meal, which only took about 10 minutes, and everything was piping hot. Had a Ribeye and it was the best steak I've had in a long while. Got their chili and a loaded baked potato for sides. All so tasty. G had the Ribeye and Shrimp and the shrimp were so tasty. While the shrimp were cooked to perfection, G's ribeye was more towards the medium-rare than the rare. (Which is a typical challenge for any steakhouse.) She loved here side salad and the fries, which her two sides. The restaurant is set up like others in the chain. As you come in, you can look at (and pick!) the steak you want cooked. We sat in the bar and compliments to Jess and the team on the bar staff service and entertainment. Like I wrote, high energy and a great time. Typically soft openings have something to critique. But I got nothing. G and I look forward to our next meal at this TR and perhaps we'll see you there! read more

The food was of course excellent! However, it was the service that clearly went 'the extra mile.' Our server (Amanda W) was very attentive. When my wife told that I'd really struggled in walking into the restaurant with my walker, she readily agreed to fetch my wheelchair out of our car. I've ordered the prime rib on two separate occasions, and both experiences were disappointing. This last time was especially bad--the meat was overly salty and not even a good cut. For the price you're charging, I expect better quality and proper preparation. If you're going to charge premium prices, the kitchen needs to know how to cook and season prime rib correctly. read more

I know they just opened but that doesn't excuse bad customer service. Their website states to call for parties over 6. I called to reserve, and was subsequently transferred and put on hold for 10 minutes, once answered it was the same gal that initially answered. Put me on hold again for 25 minutes. Finally I'm assuming a host answers (mind you I'm 40 minutes in at this point), and says he may be able to get me a table in 45 minutes. Maybe we will give it another try once they figure their stuff out but definitely won't be trying that again anytime soon. read more

So sad to leave a terrible review for something we were so excited about. We moved from out of state last year and Texas Roadhouse was always a go to for our family. Naturally it's been super busy so we decided to order to go. We spent $50 for our family of 5 and upon receiving the food we realized there was only 4 rolls. We asked for some more (which they give you unlimited if you dine in) and they wanted to charge us for additional rolls. It was a HUGE turn off for a customer that would've visited them twice a month for as long as we live here. read more

I've visited this location 3 times since they opened and all 3 time my stake was undercooked. I always ask for my stake to be cooked medium. The first two times my stake was medium rare, which is not too bad and I ate them and they were delicious, but the third time my stake was completely raw on the inside so I send it back, they took a good while to bring it back. And when it finally came back it was now well done and almost burnt on the outside. The service has always been great, and the food very good. They just need to learn to get the stakes right. read more

I would call it organized chaos, but it wasn't organized at all. So many staff members, and yet they all looked like they were running over each other. The place is plenty loud, but when they turn up the music for the line dancing mess, table conversation is not possible, and you just have to wait until they're done dancing to get service to resume. Another ordered country-fried sirloin, they received a country-fried chicken instead. Another ordered a baked sweet potato, it was so undercooked it was still crunchy. Do not try to buy alcohol at this location unless you have a drivers license or passport. Any other form of state issued ID will not work. They have already been to court over ABC license problems. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I see why they only have a 3.4 rating. They think they can treat people anyway they want as their parking lot is full. They are new, and the way they treat people the new will wear off very soon. Don't even bother asking for a manager! He was the rudest person I have ever talked to anywhere about anything.
