What is happening to the Texas Roadhouse in Nashua? Other then the servers everything has gone down hill. Last two visits our order was incorrect, food was almost warm but most definitely not hot, took forever to get our food, chicken critters were NOTHING like they use to be, rolls were cold, and we had to wait about 30 minutes for all that. We hadn't been to Texas Roadhouse in several years. We went last night because of a gift card. First, less than half of the staff was wearing a mask. I know it isn't required, but it would have been nice if at least the staff that interacts with the customers had one on. Especially if you see that the customers are wearing masks. The waitress was fine. She kept trying to upsell when she was taking our order but I'll assume she is told to do that. The food was bland. The bread that they raved about went uneaten (we love bread). My husband said his steak was cooked well but wasn't very tasty. My daughters chicken "critters" were the same. Right in front of the takeout window--literally right below it-- someone had dropped or discarded garbage. I'm talking about what appeared to be fried chicken pieces, tartar sauce and aluminum foil. It has been a few year since we ate at Texas Roadhouse so when my wife suggested it, I said yes. We used to be regulars, going about once a month or so. Both of us went on a healthy stretch so we dropped Texas Roadhouse. This time my wife had the fried chicken and I had the country fried steak. My wife used to love their fried chicken. Her comment this time is that there was nothing wrong with it; it was just ordinary. My country fried steak was just a thin piece of steak that was breaded and fried. On traditional country fried steak, the steak is pounded real thin with a mallet and then fried. That makes a tough cut of meat tender. Mine was just tough but had a nice flavor. However, the white gravy was rather tasteless. I had carrots and broccoli and some of the carrots were raw. On the plus side, we both thought our hostess and server were excellent. They both had been trained very well on how to interact with customers. The manager was a different story. She came over and quickly rattled off some memorized text and then scurried away. We walked in and immediately went to the front to get a table there was one young man working there talking to another young lady, he definitely saw us and ignored us. Another young man comes over with glasses, walked towards us then turned us back to us. The Texas Roadhouse bread was more important to him. I had a late Friday night dinner with a buddy visiting from NY. We decided to stop in here around 10PM. The place was still busy, but there was no wait to be seated. The hostess offered us to pick out a steak from the glass case and carried over a basket of hot sweet rolls & cinnamon butter before we were seated. My buddy (country music fan) loves eating at Texas Roadhouse whenever he can since there are no locations in the Albany NY area, which is "nuts" since there are many country music fans in that area. Anyways, we munched on some free peanuts (not much left in the bucket) as we waited for our server to come over. We started out with a Coors Light ($3.25) and a Diet Coke ($2.49) as we were deciding what to order. For dinner, my buddy ordered the Sirloin Beef Tips ($11.49) tender beef tips sautéed mushrooms, onions, brown gravy & sour cream served over seasoned rice and he got a nice Caesar salad before his dinner. I ordered the Grilled BBQ Chicken ($9.99) a marinated 1/2 lb. breast basted in a very sweet BBQ sauce with two sides, a House Salad with Low Fat Ranch dressing and a Cup of Chili topped with shredded cheese & onions. The portions of food for the price was quite good and the food was tasty. The service was standard. It took a few moments to place our dinner order and the entrees arrived to us in acceptable time (15 minutes after ordering). The waitress gave me a Diet Coke refill (without me asking) as I finished the first round. However, it took a while to get the check since it was the end of the night and the waitress was very busy cashing out other tables. Went here to eat tonight with my family, including 2 toddlers. It took 40 minute to even be seated on a Wednesday night, which should have been our first red flag. Another 15 to get our order taken and 50 (!!) minutes for our food to arrive. The kids were melting down, and frankly, so was I. That is a ridiculous amount of time for an order to take. When asked about our food, one of the wait staff got rude and the manager came over to make excuses about the issues they were having in their kitchen. She said "she would make it right on the bill". She did not and the food took another 15 mins to arrive, half of it cold. One of the wait staff shoved a slip in my face showing the order was "only put in a half our ago", which just make it worse because that means the waitress took 15-20 to even take the order to the kitchen after taking it! I did not want my food by the time it came (and God only knows what the kitchen staff did to it at that point.). The manager was called back about the lack of "making it right on the bill" and she rudely said "well then it's just on me then". Wish I had gotten names but it was a horrendous experience I will NEVER repeat. Just lost a customer for good. (and on my way out, I heard a waitress call me a bitch). I had to show my coupon for a free appetizer and my husband was a veteran (we went on a Monday night veterans night) I showed my coupon and it was accepted and the waitress had my husband show his ID for military discount And we were accepted by the waitress. Our meal took forever to come and 4 of of ordered rodie filet and all of them came back under cooked... when the waitress came with the bill she informed my husband he could not get the military discount because we had a coupon for a free appetizer that I bought thru the schools discount. We go occasionally. It's a decent restaurant for a casual meal and the kids love the bread. Service is generally good. I was a little annoyed with the 1.99 kiosk fee that we were charged as my kids some how clicked through. That was a new and unwanted surprise. It was slow service already so we ate it, but we'll find restaurants that aren't trying to boost their margins with low value add bill boosters in the future. What is the point of Call Ahead seating if you still have to wait 20-30 after checkin at your exact time? The rolls with the cinnamon were excellent! Another ++ The waitress was very friendly but she was over worked I could tell. Our drink and food order was good... and yes she knew how to sell UP.... buyers beware (they don't tell you about the up-charge). The salads were very good! My wife's prime rib priced at $21 was filled with fat here and there. The Outback started off with a good steak and then gave us the fatty version and we haven't been back sense. TRH don't skimp! -- My sirloin steak was good (not great) and I realized the TRH steak sauce is gross. Ask for A1! Prior to our dinner arriving she took another drink order (we ordered another round) but it never showed up during dinner... the waitress stated that the bar was busy and that she about to bring them as I was taking my last bite. Came in after a long day of travel, wanted a good steak. We have Texas Roadhouse at home. Ordered the 14oz ribeye for $26. After waiting 20+ minutes, food came. While steak was cooked to temp (medium) inside, the outside was dry. Are about three bites and sent back. Didn't ask for a free meal, just if they would reduce ticket. They did, by $8. We always went to this location and it was usually good. Recent change to rattlesnake bites. New horseradish sauce. If that was the sauce you like it looks the same but is a strange. It is the worst Ranch dressing I ever had on my life. I brought my own, brand Sweet Baby Rays--much better than the new Texas Roadhouse Sauce but far better than the restaurant sauce. I am a foodie. I always have an opinion when I eat a meal as to how it can be improved and what could be better. Texas road house has delicious foods but offers me something that not many restaurants do and that is consistently good food. I know when I order what I am going to get. The steaks quality at roadhouse is great and seasoned very well. The sides are your general steak sides that compliment the meal well. They also have chicken and other meats but chances are you are coming for a steak. They are always busy but it never has taken away from the excellent service. If your looking for a great dinner at a great price Texas road house is the place to go. P.s if you get the baked potato make sure it's loaded. I have always been pleased with my meals and my only complaint is that the portions are too big (if that is even a valid complaint). I understand COVID. We called and spoke with an employee who told us we had a reservation for 7 people at 7:00pm. We arrived at 7pm, to have the employee seating us tell us that we couldn't all sit us together when we specifically asked on the phone if we would be sat all together. I'm not sure why if the state is saying the safe protocol is 10 people per table why they're enforcing a 6 person max when we are 7 people coming from the same household? Might be important to ensure all employees understand COVID protocols before telling customers we can sit together at a table and upon arrival telling a different story. I ordered take out for the first time at this location. I received a text message stating,"Thanks for ordering. Once here, follow the signs to TO-GO parking, stay in your car. Text the word "HERE" after you park." No one came to my vehicle. I went to the to go window and was informed my food was not indeed ready. I asked if they were going to bring the food out to my car and the lady said yes. I received another text saying my food was ready. Ten minutes go by and no one brought it out to my vehicle. I proceeded to the window again and stated I thought you guys were bringing it out to me. The young lady rudely said," We don't bring it out to you. You have to come to the window." Having Togo parking spots are futile if you can't bring the order out to a customer. Maybe update your text messaging prompts so other people don't get confused. I had dinner here with friends because another friend was doing a fundraiser where the restaurant donates 10% of the bill to her cause which is the Komen 3-day walk. I am a fan of the walk, not only a fan, but a participant, so that's what got me to the place. Anyway, the people that I was meeting there said the Roadhouse is one of their favorite places. But not a place to go if you don't like noise. Or if you're allergic to peanuts, or line dancing, or intermittent yee-hah-ing and other sorts of mayhem. All in good fun of course. Like Larry B. stated, it's their schtick. They do not have a talking moose nor do they sit beside you while you order and say 'g'day mate.' This is all about Texas. (I'm thinking I would not last an hour in Texas.) Anyway, one can select one's piece of beef or pork chop from an old fashioned butcher shop-esque display of said meat. A server told me about the fresh baked rolls. They were good. I didn't have any of the honey butter on mine. Forgot. My dinner consisted of grilled salmon, side salad and baked sweet potato which was soft and good. Reminded me of Thanksgiving. My thing about chain restaurants is that they are never very good and never very bad, and never very creative. But the salad here was more than just a bunch of limp chopped iceberg lettuce and a few wedges of pink mealy tomato, so they get a star for the salad. And the salmon was good too, a bit too salty but no biggie. Prices are certainly reasonable and our service was not slow at all. Food is okay. Not great. There isn't much of a selection. The rolls with cinnoman and sugar butter are fabulous, but rolls can't carry a steakhouse. It's loud, dirty and the theme seems cheesy now. It's a shame that the food doesn't taste as good as it smells from the parking lot. The Margheritas are decent, though seemily lacking in tequila. I'm not sure if they used to be better or if I was less picky in my 20's. Either way, the only time I go here is if my husband wants to. He likes it better than I do. Texas Roadhouse is a solid steak house. While several people have commented on the lack of vegetarian options, this is a STEAK HOUSE...i.e. it is a place to get grilled meat! Sorry...rant over. This is definitely a chain...but, we have found the food to be quite good, while the service is sometimes not too good. We visited tonight and had great, friendly service. The last time we went, it was not too good...they decided that dancing was more important than serving their customers! While I do not mind the dancing and celebrating that the staff does, it should NOT come at the expense of the customer. If you have customers' waiting, don't dance. The steaks have a nice, crisp exterior that tastes really good. And...a steak house should excel at making steaks! This one does. The salads are made ahead and kept in a refrigerated unit. They are acceptable, but definitely not outstanding. The starch is often hit or miss as well. One thing to note about this establishment...it is usually quite loud. They play country music (a rarity in New England)...and they play it where you can hear it. It is not a place to go for a romantic and/or quiet night out! read more

That's the company's schtick, and they're entitled to it. Instead I'll get to the nuts and bolts of my experiences with this particular location. I'll say the waitstaff and management have always been friendly. I've been there 5-6 times and have never had a rude server. However, everything is sooooooooo slow, and takes forever to get your food. I usually go there with my wife, who usually orders a salad, and i usually order a chicken sandwich or a burger. Why does it take close to 35-40 minutes to prepare these things? Servers also seem to be "forgetful" about things too. Last time our server forgot to bring my wife's side salad. Not forgot to bring it out before the meal, just forgot it completely. When our meal arrived (finally), she told the server. Did the server do anything about it? Nope. Thankfully the manager happened to come by and ask how everything was, so we eventually got our salad, and a whopping $2 "Whoopsie" credit. The rolls they give you are frickin tasty, the buckets o peanuts are dandy, as is the ability to throw the shells on the floor in waiting area. We have been going to this particular Texas Roadhouse for many years and never had a complaint. Well, we went last Saturday 8/25 and we we have complaints. Our waitress, although not rude seemed she did not want to be there at all having a very "forced" personality disappearing for long periods of time. We ordered right away because we knew what we wanted. Salads came out quickly but the wait for our main meal was a long one. My chicken was warm and dry and the baked potato was also just warm and that's being generous. Wife's steak was OK but her smashed potato's were on the less then warm side.
