Had a great experience at Norms! Came here with the family to celebrate my dad's birthday and everything was really good. We got the pancakes with two eggs for $8.99, and I got the chicken fried steak with eggs for $11.99 both were really good and honestly such a good deal. Service was good and things came out fast. The space was nice and clean with a great 60 vibes The food, prices, and overall experience were great. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially for the prices. Would recommend it if you're looking for a good, affordable breakfast or lunch!

K TOWN BREAKFAST SKILLET - needed salt and hot sauce, still a delight
    Andrea R.

Having been to both the Orange County and Las Vegas locations, there's a clear winner and unfortunately, this one isn't it. That said, I'm not sleeping on the Vegas location. We ordered: K town breakfast skillet (with sunny side up egg, obvi) - needed a looot of salt, hot sauce, and it would be awesome if the rice was crispy Bigger better brekkie:easy basic breakfast Let's be real, the syrup and hot cakes are what makes Norm's, Norm's. They never disappoint. Highly recommend a late night stop when you need a greasy spoon and a good hang. (Service was solid and they're on InKind!)

3 of us have come here about five times recently in the last month. We were skeptical on our first visit about the soup and salad that's included we thought oh that's a nice touch but it's probably just a tiny little cup of soup and a tiny little side salad. NOPE. You got a nice bowl of soup and a decent size salad. Taste and quality is excellent! Our only tiny bit of feedback would be that the soups needs to be hotter every time we've gone it's lukewarm. Their gumbo soup is really good too. Every meal we've had has been a very nice size portion the quality has been really good, the steaks are tender not full of fat, and nothing has been overcooked or greasy (which I would kind of expect for a diner type of place). I was hesitant about trying the burnt steak ends with the kimchi fried rice and egg off of the summer promotional menu but I was actually quite impressed with the taste and quality and portion size it was way better than I anticipated. On the fried items such as the sampler platter appetizer the quality of it is good and it's not overcooked but the oil needs to be changed because the product is coming out kind of dark and makes it look like it's overcooked (but yet the chicken tenders were not dried out at all they were quite good. Probably the best ones I've had if they had just changed the oil) Whatever brand they're using for their salad dressings is excellent (It's not uncommon to find Caesar or ranch to be on the tangy bitter side but not theirs) We really like that they rotate the soups and the vegetable options everyday. And they also have one soup option that never changes. I wish they would do that for the vegetable as well and have one option that never changes. Service every time has been really friendly and attentive. There have been no issues with the timing of our meals we've never waited excessively long for any anything to come out to the table, drinks are always kept filled as well. Prices are reasonable especially for the portion of food size and the quality as well. And we don't really know any other diner type restaurant such as Denny's or IHOP that would include soup AND salad with almost every entree. The atmosphere is pretty much your diner style decor, the restaurant is very clean and we've never had any issues that we could see. We also really liked the promotional scratch off cards that they gave out for several weeks. That was one of the reasons it kept us coming back and trying other entrees. So other than that tiny little bit of feedback we will absolutely keep coming back. We've heard they're looking at opening three to five more locations around the valley and we look forward to one hopefully opening near the south summerlin area.

How did I not find this place sooner?! After moving from the East Coast to Las Vegas, I've really missed the great diners back home, and this place checks all the boxes. The interior is charming, spotless, and very well maintained. The comfortable, spacious booths have classic 1950s vibes while still feeling modern and fresh. Our server, Jennifer Ann, was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and took excellent care of us. You can tell she's a true professional who knows how to keep up with the fast-paced diner atmosphere. The value here is incredible. They have a great happy hour drink special, but even at full price, everything is extremely reasonable. It's not easy to find delicious meals for under $20 and drinks for under $10 these days. The menu is exactly what you want from a diner--extensive, with so many tempting options that it's hard to decide what to order. We came for breakfast and will definitely be back to try lunch, but we couldn't resist starting with the mozzarella sticks. The cold brew coffee was delicious, and the free refills were a nice bonus. The mozzarella sticks came out quickly, piping hot, and in a generous portion. The cheese pull did not disappoint! I ordered the Mother's Day special: filet and eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly. While the steak was a bit overcooked, it was still tender, juicy, and had a great grilled flavor. I upgraded my toast to French toast, which was incredibly fluffy and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ordered an omelet that was loaded with meat and vegetables. He also got hotcakes on the side, topped with blueberries, strawberries, and cheesecake whipped cream. They were fluffy, decadent, and just as good as they sounded. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back. If you're looking for a true diner experience in Las Vegas, this place absolutely delivers!

I have not been to Norm's in over four years. The last time I went was when I was in California. Walked in and the first thing I noticed was that they have a bar! Not just a bar top, but a bar that serves alcohol. Definitely different than the Norms in California. The restaurant looked clean, thanks the the busers that seemed to be constantly busy. I had the fettuccini Alfredo, it was okay. I've had better and I've had worse. My hubby had the steak and eggs. That was very good, and a trademark plate at Norm's. My son had the caramel apple cinnamon pancakes. He said they were good, however, he said the apples were too tart and was expecting them more on the sweet side. He ended up taking off a some of the apples. He also ordered the cookie banana shake which he really liked. Sister had the eggs Benedict with chorizo, she really liked them. Instead of being on English muffin, they were on a sope. Our waitress, Theresa, was friendly and attentive and was constantly checking on us. Overall, it was a good experience and we'll be back... how can we not, it's Norm's!!!

Recently went for a second visit to gauge how the lunch menu was and, like my first visit for breakfast last year, found it was average. There is nothing out of the ordinary that makes this a step above other places, especially when considering the price and the atmosphere not conveying an actual diner. The service both times was top notch, so I would give service alone 5 stars. I doubt I would go back here based on overall value, but for some it may be a worthwhile experience if they want to try something new. I would recommend breakfast over lunch/dinner and, if you go with the latter, select a soup over the side salad if you decide to get a starter for your meal. Not an endorsement for the soup (hadn't tried), but the salad was one of the saddest I have had in awhile.

**NORMS on Charleston Blvd: A Familiar, if Flawed, Newcomer to Las Vegas** The arrival of NORMS on Charleston Blvd brings a classic Californian touch to the Las Vegas dining scene, evoking a nostalgia that patrons from the West Coast will surely recognize. The diner's aesthetic is inviting, effortlessly channeling the timeless American charm that has made NORMS a staple in its home state. Yet, while the ambiance is spot-on, the dining experience falls short in the realm of service. My visit was marred by delays, which stood out even against the backdrop of a bustling grand opening. The first wait -- a simple glass of water -- felt unreasonably long, leaving me wondering if it was a one-time oversight. However, the delay for my New York steak and eggs confirmed that timing may be an operational challenge. Despite the attentiveness of my waitress, who checked in periodically to reassure me, the wait lingered beyond what one would expect for a diner with NORMS' pedigree. It's clear that while the staff embodies the warm, casual spirit characteristic of California locations, they may still be adjusting to the demands of this new setting. The steak and eggs were passable, offering a decent take on this NORMS classic without quite achieving greatness. The steak was satisfactory, but it lacked the sear and seasoning that made it a truly memorable dish. This, combined with the extended wait, dulled the appeal of an otherwise nostalgic meal. Currently, NORMS is bustling, drawing in curious patrons with its name alone. However, it's easy to imagine this initial rush dwindling unless service becomes smoother and more timely. Overall, NORMS on Charleston Blvd offers a pleasant nod to the past, but if it aims to establish itself as more than just a fleeting novelty, it will need to address these growing pains in short order.

We went to Norms Las Vegas for the First time. Went there for a late night dinner I ordered bone in wings w/Korean bbq sauce, I liked the taste and the wings were crispy. I tried hubby's steak and it tasted good, and they cooked the steak well to our liking. And they make the best hash brown, crispy and delicious !! And pancakes weren't bad either. Waitress was a little busy but when needed she came to our table for assistance. Not too noisy night. I went to different Norms in Los Angeles 15 years ago and this location didn't feel like an LA franchise and of course the menu looks different. Plenty of parking outside.

It's a nice diner atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff. Had the thinnest grilled pork chops ever! They were tasty but not filling. Spouse enjoyed the chicken and waffles.

I had never experienced Norms when living in Southern California years back and happened to be visiting the Walmart on W. Charleston here in Las Vegas, Nevada, had some time to kill and since it's close by, I figured, why not? This is a place that will be visited again soon, right after walking in the door, Evelyn the Hostess was polite, professional and so courteous it was refreshing to see someone in food service actually enjoying their job. Customer Service can really be a test of your people skills and patience. The wait time after sitting down for a server (Theresa Rose, I apologize if your name was spelled wrong) to bring me a menu was lighting fast and after informing her it was my first visit she explained the specials and gave me time to overlook the menu and was really hospitable. The option I chose was MORE than I expected. The choice today was chicken fettuccini (alfredo sauce) and along with that came a basic salad, soup (split pea) and their version of Texas Toast and a drink. Tip included it came to almost $30.00 USD which was fine, when treating myself I never complain about the price, work allows me to do this. I walked out of there with a full belly and in a happy mood. Thanks to the staff for making my first visit one that I enjoyed and one that makes me want to return in the not-too-distant future.

I visited recently after hearing several recommendations and was immediately impressed by the atmosphere; the space is beautiful and very clean. Our server, Kendra, was also fantastic; checked on us throughout our dinner. My friend had the Sliders and said they were very good. Having said that , the other dishes lack seasoning and had no flavor at all. I will definitely come back and give breakfast a try .

1/2 pound Double Cheeseburger with Tater Tots - $9.99 Special

I've never lived in California , but I've heard of Norms. In the past 2 months I've tried them 3 times. First time I had the Special Full Rack of Ribs , 2nd time I went for Breakfast , and the last time late night for a Burger. I would say that breakfast was the best out of the 3 times I went. I like the decor and the design of the old style diner. Also all the employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Here is my take on the food I had. 1st visit : Special Full Rack of Ribs with Fries , Coleslaw , and Arnold Palmer. The ribs tasted like a rib special , not very good but not bad either , the bbq sauce was not bad , the fries were good , the coleslaw was very plain like it needed some vinegar to give it a little kick. Coleslaw was nice and crisp , but just hardly any flavor. Arnold Palmer was spot on. 2nd Visit : Loaded Bacon and Cheese Scrambled Eggs with Pancakes with Strawberries and Whipped Cream. When I came the first time I saw a couple both eating a large plate of pancakes and strawberries and I said I'm coming back for those ! My combo the pancakes were smaller and came with a little strawberries and whipped creme , so I guess you have to order the big ones as the main not as a combo. The scramble was very good and a decent portion. It is 2 eggs with Bacon , Tomato , Green Onion , Jack and Cheddar Cheese with a side of Salsa. You get 2 pancakes and I paid extra for the strawberries and cream. It was very good and filling. I would recommend this and I will be coming back for the large plate of Strawberry Pancakes. 3rd Visit : 1/2 pound Double Burger with Tater Tots , $9.99 Special. I was so hoping for a good burger and this was not. It tasted like a Sysco Frozen Patty Cheap Restaurant Burger. If you want a good 24 Hour Diner Burger checkout IHOP. The Cowboy Burger is sooo good. I've heard Denny's is good too , but I haven't had one. I was really hungry because I hadn't eaten all day , so I still ate it , but I would never get a burger here again. I also got a Free Birthday dessert with the App. I got the Chocolate Cake and was told it comes from Cheesecake Factory. It was super rich and I ate half and took the rest home for the next day. So inconclusion I really would only come here for breakfast. Other items on the menu from posted pictures don't seem really appealing to me. But I would recommend coming here for breakfast and the employees are nice and pretty attentive.

The ambiance at night is nice and dimly lit. Great menu and nicely priced. There's currently a 3 course special that comes with a salad, salmon, tiramisu, and bottomless wine for $60! It's definitely worth it. The goat cheese spread tasted great with the salad. The salad also comes as a big portion. The salmon was huge and perfectly moist. I got the foie gras on French toast. It had the perfect amount of salty and tart sweet flavor with the blackberry-cherry sauce. It comes as an appetizer, but because it's so good, I don't recommend sharing since the portion is so small. I got the spicy seafood pasta, and it was amazing! It had the perfect amount of spice and it comes with a hefty amount of seafood along with a whole big lobster tail! The shrimps that it came with were also huge and there were plenty of calamari and octopus with the pasta. This dish was such a great deal with the portion and the amount of seafood it came with. My only complaint is that they can lighten the amount of fresh basil they put in. I highly recommend! Last, we got the creme brulee, which comes with orange biscotti. It's a shareable portion, and perfectly sweet. Our server Zoe was also amazing! She was super friendly and answered all the questions we had with the menu. Great place for a low key date at Desert Shores and some awesome food!

I am torn as I really want to give this place more stars because the food was really good (more on…read morethat later) but there was something that made that hard to do. We have dined there in the past and have always sat at a table but we came in on a whim and there was only bar seating, which was fine. But the girl bartender (Annie??) was extremely mean and rude to us for some reason. We were polite, didn't complain about anything, didn't ask to modify our food at all and left over 20% gratuity. When we asked questions she talked to us like we were stupid. Everyone else was outstanding. The guy with the braids and Frank were awesome and the Sommelier was really cool and was passionate about his wine list. My fiancé and I are both industry vets and we understand that sometimes you aren't always in the best mood but this felt oddly personal. Again, we have no idea what we did wrong. The food was exceptional. Some highlights are: Oxtail hummus: The best hummus I've ever had and the oxtail was cooked to perfection. Oysters: we did half and half of both options and they were both great and super unique. Banh Cuon: Usually made with pork, they use duck and it is awesome. The sauce should be bottled. Octopus: Perfection on a plate. Passionfruit dessert: So, so good. Perfect way to end dinner after some spicy elements in the food. Pandan cocktail: One of the better drinks I've ever had. We had more food but these are the items I can remember off of the top of my head. This was from about a month ago but my Yelp account was hijacked and I haven't been able to get it back yet and had to make a new one . So overall everything was amazing except for that one issue.

TRY THE TOTS! portions are also good. check out this spot.

For apps we got a couple drinks and a salad. The salad was huge and more than enough for 2 people. It was pretty basic but had a ton of cheese so cant complain. I didn't love any of the mixed drinks so just ended up getting a glass of wine which was average. For entrees we got the new york strip, truffle mac & cheese and agnolotti. The truffle mac and steak were the best ever. The amount of truffle and levels of flavor to the steak were next level. Best i have ever had from a restaurant. Not to mention the steak was half off. The agnolotti was not my favorite it tasted too meaty and not really like pasta. Overall $100 for this was an absolute steal. The food was some of the best I've had and for how busy it was proves it's that good. The portions were also huge and more than enough for 2 people. Could not recommend this place more to anyone!

The cocktails are clever and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the menu had n Asian twist to it. The deviled eggs appetizer is ridiculous in every good way. The pork belly burger was savory and spicy and oh so yummy. And the cookies and cream cheesecake was the perfect way to top off the meal. I love the decor and punk rock vibe. To me, at least, it's very warm and inviting. Our server, Lexi, was very friendly and helpful and attentive. There really isn't anything negative about this place. It was our first gastropub experience and we'll definitely be coming back again.

We were the first guests at 10 AM and I'm so glad that we went early! It started getting crowded around 11AM. It's a small space so when the drinks begin flowing it can get very loud. The service was great. Fast and efficient! Now for the food. We ordered to share, which I highly recommend. We ordered the fried deviled eggs to start. So yummy. Perfectly coated with a slightly tangy dipping sauce. Next was the lemongrass honey glazed pork umami bowl...that was fire ! The loco moco was amazing. Both dishes were well seasoned. They have great mocktails too! I'll definitely be back, but I'll avoid happy hour

The food is delicious, portions are massive, and the décor is pure retro Vegas perfection. We loved the warm lighting, over-the-top ambiance, and friendly staff. Why wait? When you can hit the lounge! It's the kind of place that feels like a trip back in time, in the best way possible. Definitely adding this to our list of Vegas favorites.

I've heard you can spot Nicolas Cage here sometimes if you're here in the absolute middle of the night, but that's way past my bedtime so I can't confirm. Like I said... what's not to love!? Free parking, generous daily happy hour even on weekends, beautiful retro ambiance, great place to take pictures, and really good diner food with a great selection all day long. The only thing that bummed me out (but not even enough to take off a star) is that last time I went to Peppermill -- a couple weeks ago for my birthday -- my group kept trying to order drinks before the happy hour ended but the cocktail server kept skipping right past our table on her rounds. By the time she got to us, 25 minutes later, the happy hour was over and she said she couldn't honor the price as a courtesy. So that kinda bummed us all out a little bit, but we still had a good time and enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

This review is based solely on the burger Wow! Just, wow…read more I have been to many, MANY places to get a good burger, but this may be one of the absolute best burgers I've had. When you go out, most places - not all, but most - you need to say medium rare if you want medium, rare if you want medium rare, and... well, that's about it, because if you order anything from medium well to well done than you just shouldn't be eating burgers. But this place, I asked for medium rare, feeling like a medium that day, and it came out the most perfect rare I have ever had! The char on the outside of this obviously hand made patty, while still being heated through all the delicious pink inside! Oh man! I don't think I need to say much more. The wife had the chicken strips and fries, which she said were "perfectly portioned at three strips." Service was as good as any place should be. And prices weren't bad at all.

Everything was delicious, and I genuinely enjoyed every dish we tried. My husband's favorite was the burger--it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I especially loved the salmon, which was cooked beautifully, and the brown rice was surprisingly so flavorful. Paired with the avocado, it made for such a satisfying combination. My toddler's favorite was the fettuccine alfredo--she couldn't get enough of it! One of the highlights of our visit was meeting the chef-owner. He was incredibly kind, and you can truly tell how much care and love he puts into his food. That passion comes through in every dish, making the whole experience feel thoughtful and genuine. Whether you're meeting up with friends, enjoying a family meal, or simply looking for a delicious local spot, I highly recommend Salt & Spoon. We'll definitely be back!

The dining area and outdoor patio give a rustic country kitchen feel which suits their fresh seasonal ingredient filled menu. We have honestly never had a bad meal here. The food tends to disappear before we get to take pictures, sorry that's lacking. I've read the service here isn't good, but we've either been lucky or just have come on good days because we haven't had any issues. The only issue that is kind of a nonissue is that it gets busy fast, of the 3-4 times we've eaten here we've probably come 10 times and there was a loooong wait so we decided to go elsewhere. If you're in the area and want something delectable for lunch or dinner, I'd say yes stop in and enjoy yourself !
