This was the second time visiting Texas roadhouse. Unfortunately, same issue all times. Both of our steaks were undercooked and we went to the manager to tell them that they weren't properly. She came back and said well we think it's cooked steak houses for a lot of years and it definitely wasn't. I showed her and she agreed. They brought the steaks back to put them a little more, and of course they were overcooked. we had already spent a good amount of time so having the states brand new is not an option. Not only do you get a bang for your buck- (about $150 for 4 people and a toddler), the food is really good. Service is friendly and they do their best to make sure the customer is happy. Bryan was our service and he was top notch! I ordered the beef tips and they were generous with the meats and mushrooms. The gravy was a bit salty for my taste but I tend to prefer more bland foods so that's just me. The mashed potatoes were perfectly mashed with the right amount of potato chunks. Hubby ordered the full slab of ribs and normally the ribs are juicy and perfectly cooked. Today the ribs were dry and overdone. We took them home since our salads and the complimentary bread really filled us up. Bryan checked in on us and brought us boxes as he saw we had a lot of leftovers. One star off for the dry ribs but honestly, I'll come back because this restaurant is a well oiled machine and normally the ribs are great. Service is fast, friendly and efficient. Our order of ribs was a fluke so I'm only taking off one star. House salad was yummy, bread is hot out of the oven and the honey butter makes it even better. First things first everyone knows that their rolls are absolute finger licking, sweet, salty, buttery rolls of heaven. That's not up for debate. Anyways this was my first dine-in experience. I absolutely LOVE the environment. It is such a good feel, vibrant, yet homey and southern feel to it. My favorite part is watching the dough man cut up the rolls to bake. I feel like I'm at Krispy Kreme. The food on the other hand honestly wasn't anything crazy impressive. I ordered a 6oz sirloin with grilled shrimp with a side of veggies & Caesar salad. The steak was actually really flavorful and tender, I requested medium rare I got more of a medium well done. Also the grilled shrimp was saltier than the guy I ghosted off tinder. It took me back I had to wash it down otherwise it was shriveling up my tongue. The veggies were nothing special just sliced carrots and broccoli and the Caesar salad actually was pretty good. I ordered an alcoholic beverage, honestly I don't remember-- something about saving the bees. Peach beach? Beach peach? Something peach. It was like a 7/10 it felt like a medicinal tea but alcoholic. Like sucking honey through a straw that was watered down for consistency. They gave me bags of peanuts I thought that was cute. What a bad experience. Got sat by the bar and ordered a 12 oz New York Strip with two sides. When the server brought out the food it was clearly a 12oz ribeye. Even when the server dropped the plate she said ribeye. I politely asked if I could have what I ordered and she said absolutely. Couple minutes go by and she brings the same steak out saying the cook stated that it was a New York and wanted me to taste it to see if I liked it. Like a good little guinea pig I did and said "yeah that's a ribeye" and she said the manager would come by and she would re fire. Waited another 20 minutes while my other guest finished his filet and still no steak and no manager. Eventually I gave up and asked to just cancel it so the server had to find the manager but couldn't so just split it off and ate fast food. Manager probably just sitting in the office doing absolutely nothing while I'm out here playing hot potato with a steak that no one ordered. This is the second time at this location where the manager is nowhere to be found. The server Allie was super nice and apologetic and she did all she could. We started off with some fried pickles with Buffalo sauce, those were so tasty. My dinner was huge and delicious and my wife's ribeye had such great flavor. It's more about the atmosphere than the food. I am a fan of the bread, don't get me wrong there are good things on their menu. The staff is always real sweet and helpful. I just wouldn't recommend coming here if you're prone to migraines bc they do a dance with all the waiters and it can get loud. Not their fault at all it's just how it is. My family really enjoyed the food, service and ambience. It was perfect with 2 small kids because they could be loud and nobody noticed. We ordered a fried onion blossom and it was excellent. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants, we came in to celebrate my friends birthday and the experience was amazing. Yvette really took care of us, was helpful, and friendly came to check on us constantly. She even hooked us up with complimentary bread to go because they have the most delicious complimentary bread with cinnamon butter. They also have complimentary peanuts. On a recommendation (I asked which cut is the most tender), I ordered the Dallas filet with chili and a fully dressed baked potato (pro tip: they serve the chili first, but put it on the potato!). Eh, the super-friendly service far outpaces the quality of the food served here. The chili was over-processed tasting and forgettable, and the baked potato was standard fare. The steak was really good and cooked to a perfect temp... the only thing that ruined it for me was that it was way over-salted. I didn't take a pic because the food looked literally thrown onto the plate. Overall, I will eventually return, but it's not high on my priority list and I will explore the other steakhouses in the area (recommendations welcome; I have about 100-mile radius... casual dress-code preferred). This particular visit was very nice. We came in on a Monday night just before the dinner rush. We were sat in the back dining area by a very hospitable host with our fresh and warm bread in her hand hand. Because of the day & time we arrived we didn't have to wait long for our booth. This place is always a busy place. We were celebrating our son's birthday but we didn't disclose that because he didn't want to sit on the saddle (like last year) while the staffers put on a show for the entire restaurant. We think it's a blast yet he felt the one time was enough for him. He chose the spot both times "because I like the food there" None of us like super loud places so we actually liked being in the back area where it is quieter. There was a bit of some baby fusses from other tables but it wasn't terrible. Bianca was our server and she was very attentive and well trained. She hit all the positive markers when it came time to greeting us and taking care of our orders. We all enjoyed what we had to eat and left very stuffed and we even had some food leftover to bring home. I got the regular salmon entree & the corn and a sweet potato for my sides. My boy got the no fuss dinner that he wanted and overall it was pretty good time. We've had some not so great experiences here in the past and I know I wrote a review about it too but somehow I'm not seeing that previous review. I always feel there is room for improvements. Like for this visit my only qualm was when I accidentally dropped my napkin under the table and I noticed it could've been cleaned up a bit more. Once upon a time there were peanut shells everywhere but that's not a thing here anymore. The family meal is such a good deal! You're given a variety of options and the portions were large enough for our family to have leftovers days later. Curbside pickup was easy. Just placed my order online on the day of. For some reason I couldn't place it in advance, so I had to remind myself on the day of. But when we got there to pick up our food, you stop at the first curb stall where a staff member confirms your order. Then you drive to the next curb stall to pick up your order. At the second stop you'll see beverages in the cooler or in the front bin that you can add to your order. Margaritas to go?! What?! For the food, got the beef tips which is steak cut up in small portions and cooked with mushrooms and onions. The family meal also included a full tray of salad (we chose a Caesar salad), four sides including corn, green beans and a cup of chili and a whole box full of rolls. Also ordered the cactus blossom appetizer and a side of 1/2 slab of ribs. Loved all of the flavors, especially the gravy that came with the meal. Im a side girlie so I ordered the Veggie Combo which came with four more sides. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! I am a chili expert and the chili was top tier! Not only was the food delicious, and affordable (my drinks were only 6$!) but every staff member was friendly and efficient. Anthony, our waiter, was very attentive and informative. Also the host guy with the long hair; i was told his name was Sebastian, was very friendly while walking us to our table and checked back with us after to make sure i got all the sides my heart desired. After not being able to get reservations at a couple of higher-end steakhouses for our 28th wedding anniversary, we decided to come here since we were able to get on a "wait-list" to be seated 50-60 minutes later. Looking at the vast amount of people waiting outside upon our arrival, we were glad and thankful that we were able to be seated in the time range they provided. This was our first time at this Texas Roadhouse location in California. Our first experience was in Texas. So we were already expecting that the food was going to be good. However, what blew us away unexpectedly was the excellent customer service! The staff were AWESOME!! Starting with Katie who seated us, she was SO warm & friendly right off the bat, she treated us like she already knew us. Then our server Jeremy, he was the same! And he was SO efficient to boot, he always made sure we had everything we needed. They seemed genuinely happy to be working there. And as my husband and I were waiting for our food, we noticed how they had a team that would clear out the tables as soon as guests would leave. We were so impressed at how quickly & efficiently they worked, they didn't miss a beat! My husband, being a retired superintendent and in management for 27 years explained to me that what we were seeing and experiencing was a reflection of good management. They all worked like a well-oiled machine. I was already planning to review this place when one of the managers, Shea, came by and talked to us! She was also warm & hospitable. It was great being able to tell her in person how wonderful of an experience we were having and how impressed we were with her staff. When she told us that they had just hired Katie, it proved that they also pick good people to work at their organization. Just awesome! Now the food. We got combos. I had the ribeye and grilled shrimp which was really good, just like I expected. And my husband got the ribeye and ribs. We asked for medium rare for our steaks and they were cooked exactly how we liked them. However, the ribs were on the dry side. The sides we got, baked potato, broccoli & carrots, and caesar salads were all good. The rolls were to die for and was served right off the bat with cinnamon butter. We didn't care too much for the cinnamon butter since the rolls were already a bit sweet so we asked for plain butter instead. At the end of our meal, Shea treated us and brought out "Granny's classic apple pie" for us for our anniversary and it was SO good! A perfect ending to an unexpected great experience. Forget the high-end steakhouses with the high-end prices! We'll definitely be coming back (we're already planning for hubby's birthday in a little over a week), I downloaded their app and will be recommending this place to all our friends and family.
