Arrived about 10:45 for lunch on a Friday. This is the only weekday that Texas Roadhouse is open for lunch dining. Wow..... I thought, Willie Nelson himself must be playing a free concert here????? They are giving away flat screen TVs???? Free T-Bones for all???? The parking lot was already almost full, and there is a line out the door at least 30 people deep, waiting in the blistering heat!!!! Our party of 2 decided to brave the line about 10:55. About this time the line increased to about 45-50, due to people saving space in line for others. I honestly thought there might be an epic battle between the line cutters and the group of ladies standing behind us. When we were shown to our table, drenched in sweat, thankfully our cold drinks were served quickly. We weren't served any rolls. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries, and a ribeye with steamed veg. I hate to say it...... it was just meh... ok. The serving of steak fries was a pitiful site.... Maybe 7 cold fries. The cheeseburger was ok... not nearly as good as some fast food places. The ribeye steak was ordered medium, and came just a hint over rare. The steak had an overwhelming " liver" taste.... Maybe not the highest quality beef ???? I'm not sure. I'm giving the whole experience a 3, service was friendly (4) food was average at best(3) and the wait in the sun, and extra-loud music (2). I like to go for the early dining menu from 3 to 5 PM Monday through Friday. A main and two sides with the rolls and peanuts for $11.99. You cannot beat it. The food is always tasty. The ambience is convivial. It is kind of loud in the restaurant in a little dark. The servers are working hard, but very pleasant. The managers always come around and check on you sometimes a little too much no IPAs they have a limited beer selection, but they usually have one on special and a cocktail on special. Waitress, Meghan seemed to have more important things to do than wait on us.she was very short with us, trying to get an order before we even looked at a menu. I was ordering the appitizers, she wrote one down and was on her way. I had to get her attention to come back for my husband's order. She brought a refill before I even got a couple sips, so when the refill was needed, they were flat and watered down. Food is not special, but is ok. We waited one hour for our food as others were coming in and being served before us. I eventually went to the front desk and complained. I was told that they are really busy and everyone's food is taking time. Is said, "Oh, really? Well, how come others have been served before us?" No intellegent response. The manager came up and told us our food will be delivered shortly and he was giving us 20% off our ticket. OK, problem addressed and fixed. I was in town visiting some friends & we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse on a Sunday night. Growing up in Owensboro, Texas Roadhouse has always been a popular place for the locals. Maybe it's because they open later in the day, maybe because of the country vibe & all the meat they serve, I'm not sure, but the place is usually packed. We pulled up on a Sunday around 5:30 and it was busy, but luckily it only took about 5 minutes to get a table. One thing that threw me off was that next to the entrance was two Porta potty trailers. We thought "is the water not working?"! It was odd. We later found out that they were remodeling the bathrooms. I wonder how long those trailers will be out front. Anyway, at least they were heated & not the blue, square kind you find at construction sites. We had a booth in the back of the restaurant. Our server, Lin, was very friendly & fast with refills, both drink & rolls. Speaking of their rolls, I think I could eat my weight in them. I don't know how people do no carb diets. I could live off bread. Enough about me. The bread comes with cinnamon butter, which is equally delicious. I ordered a bourbon (well) & diet ($4.50). It was a nice pour, others at our table said that their drinks weren't very strong however. For dinner, I ordered the portobello chicken, which consists of grilled, marinated chicken breast with Portobello Mushroom sauce, jack cheese and fresh Parmesan cheese ($11.99). For my side, I decided to live a little and get my baked potato LOADED ($.99 extra). PS the cinnamon butter is good on the potato too. Oh & a Caesar salad too. For the price, you get a lot of food. From sit down to food, it was little under an hour. It wasn't too bad because we had rolls & salad & drinks. The Caesar salad is good, but if you don't like salads covered in dressing, this one might not be for you. The croutons are crisp & buttery at the same time. The loaded baked potato is magical, I mean, what isn't with cheese & bacon? The chicken was average, but the mushrooms & thick sauce (almost a gravy) brightened up my meal. WOW! Haven't been in here since 4/18. I don't know what changed but it was for the best. The fried onion was the best we have had in 5 attempts. The prime rib is the second if not the best in the city. Our server friendly and actually acted like she really enjoyed her job. The only down fall is there was no grilled cheese for our son. But keep in mind he is finicky eater. We are putting this place back on our rotation of places to eat. read more

This is always my go to for a great steak. Me and the wife went this past saturday. Went early to beat the crowd. As usual service was great. Beer was ice cold. Wife got a full rack of ribs. I got the medium sized rib eye believe 10 oz. Not sure what happened like I said appetizers were good server was awesome. My steak was like no flavor at all like they forgot to season it. Texas Roadhouse does some things very well. They can process large crowds of people in a timely manner. If you want a steak cooked the way you like, they can do it. My wife and I love their prime rib, which is; as good as, you will find anywhere. Their staff is typically young, friendly and well trained. The surroundings are, as you would expect at any Texas Roadhouse with loud country music and peanut shells on the floor. During my latest trip, I opted to try something different and chose the catfish while my wife stuck with the prime rib. The catfish really was rather bland in flavor and the dipping sauce just did not cut it. Therefore, the old saying, "do not buy fish from a steak house," rings true for me in this case. i love the tx roadhouse franchise and this location is no different. I usually do the call ahead waitlist option through the app. I think it helps with the wait time. all of your party has to be present, you check in, and it streamlines the process adding you to the list. it's the closest thing to an actual reservation, which they don't take. that is the only bad thing about eating here besides the parking, which is always crowded. the food is fresh and tasty. the staff is friendly. the place is clean, so the positives outweigh the negatives. the 5 dollar Long Island iced teas are amazing. read more

Meh. I've had better. This was one of those experiences when everything seemed just a bit off. And it started in the parking lot. Too small. Cars were parked on a side road, and it wasn't packed on the inside. It just seemed like the lot the building was on just wasn't big enough. It was just me for dinner. When I got there the hostess offered to seat me. I declined and went for the bar. Once in the bar area I discovered the bar was full - no seats. Why wouldn't the hostess know that? I was seated and the waitress took my drink order and then brought my drink. I waited and waited and waited and she just didn't come back. I caught another waitress and asked for mine, and when she came back she said, "I was waiting for your guest to arrive..." So I ordered my food and it came, but I'm pretty sure I ordered rice and not the mashed potatoes that I got. So another great experience at Texas roadhouse. Sat at the bar, bad idea. It was after 9pm on a Monday and the restaurant was extremely slow. So I wondered why it was taking 25 minutes to cook a 6oz sirloin. When my food finally came being served by the manager, I touched the plate and it was burning hot. So I asked the manager was this sitting under the heat lamp and of course she said no, and I said why is the plate so hot, she explained that they keep their plates hot, really? So I cut into my supposed to be medium steak and it was well done. The bar tender offered to fix the problem, but come on just do your job right and worry about your customers instead of doing your closing duties. This will for sure be my last time. I travel a lot for work which means I eat out a lot. I don't review very often but use Yelp religiously to find a place to eat. Today, I just wanted a steak and have had good luck at the chains. Didn't even check Yelp first. I was surprised at the lower ratings. The port a potties are gone, service from Jon was excellent and food was great. My steak was cooked medium rare as requested and my sides were just like I prefer. It's loud but that's the chain. Peanuts were fine and bread is deadly (carb junkies will be happy). Texas roadhouse is a pretty big chain, at least in the Midwest, but they are all pretty decent. You walk in and there are barrels of peanuts for you to crack open and throw the shells all over the floor. The steaks are actually pretty good and always seem to be that way. The sides they have are pretty lacking so I usually just stick with the house salad and the Broccoli. The appetizers are all pretty much fried and terrible for you but at the same time, they are all you want when you sit down haha. My Top order: Get a Tall Shinerboch Beer, start with the Rattle Snake Bites, and get a Dallas Fillet. You won't be disappointed or hungry. read more
