I happened on the place about 5:30 pm and decided to check it out.. As we were being seated, the hostess picked up a few buns near her station and seated us. The place wasn't full because it was early. The server was at the table right away. We ordered some beer as we looked at the menu. The beer came right up. The server pointed out that the early bird menu was available. We had a couple sirloin steaks, salad and potatoes. The steaks were cooked to order, The salad was fresh and the mashed potatoes were good. I felt bad that the servers had to break out in a line dance every so often. Those roasted peanuts you can snack on made my lips feel dried out more than anything but it's nice that it's an option for you while waiting. This was my second time at a Texas Roadhouse and the bread and butter was as soft and heavenly as I remember. I ordered the pulled pork with ribs combo, with seasoned rice and mashed potatoes. So I used to like Texas road house but here I am right now currently waiting. I arrived at 6:53pm and was told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. At 7:38 I received a text that a table was available we went inside after waiting in the cold and we were told to wait in another waiting area for another 7 minutes making the total time 52 mins. If it's an hour wait then say it's an hour wait. Don't tell your customers 15 to 20 mins. Our waitress Tori was great. Though the dipping sauce was not good at all. The ribs were dry despite plenty of sauce on top. The fries were OK. None of us got steak because we all remembered it not being good. Price: Reasonable, but not considering the quality. Service: Great!!! The waitress was so friendly and accommodating and she got everything right! Sunday was our first visit to Texas Roadhouse but it was only the first of many to come. The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and I ate the whole 12oz piece myself. I also had a stuffed baked potato and corn. I recommend this combination to everyone. It was awesome!!! I had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and was pleasantly surprised that just because I was ordering by the glass (like in so many restaurants) I was not forced to drink liquid filth. Instead I had a glass of Louis M. Martini that complemented my steak dinner. I'm not surprised the dessert menu was small, I can't imagine too many people having room for dessert after such a good meal. I've wanted to go here for so long, but never got around to it. Saturday night and the stars aligned. We go and it's jumping. Told 20-30 minute wait, actual wait time is closer to 45 minutes. For appetizers we did the combo with fried pickles, rattlesnake bites, and potato skins. The expo line messed up and gave us blue cheese. Not sure what the other sauce we got was for- the pickles or rattlesnake bites, but it was a ranch and tasty. Pickles were a bit flavorless. Didn't really have a chance to complain because our entrees showed up before our waitress was back to check on us. For entrees I did the ribs at the waitresses recommendation and wife did a porterhouse. Let me tell you- these were possibly the worst ribs I've ever had. Dry, overcooked, burned and the cut itself was just weird- it was like a baby back rack, but there was an extra bone on top of the main rib. I bit into it like 3 times before I started watching out for it. Wife's porterhouse was a different story. For $26 I wasn't expecting much, but this was not a bad piece of meat at all. Ordered mid-rare and cooked to perfection. Choice meat. Not sure why they offer cooked mushrooms or onions over the top of this, the meat really stood up. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't an $80 porterhouse a real steak house will trim and present you, but at this price point the size and quality was nice. If I just walked in and ordered this, it would be a 4 star review. Waitress showed up halfway through dinner and I was finally able to order a second beer. Service I'd was was fair. They're really understaffed or over worked during the Covid ordeal. They forgot our bread twice. Apps came out cold. My salmon was dry. We asked for salt packets and they came after we had finished. Server didn't come around for 2nd round of drinks. I don't blame him, he was running 6 big tables all fully occupied . The warm bread basket with cinnamon butter is brought to the table as you are being seated. The food was average. The high rating was for the attentive service by the staff. Portions were plentiful. Salads are served in chilled bowls. Spare rib appetizer was on the dry side, but they were still tender. My sirloin was overcooked. They were very busy and I didn't want to send it back. Food was great but unfortunately had such a poor experience with our waitress. She had a horrible attitude from the moment we sat down, was very pushy, and when she wasn't being pushy she was busy blatantly ignoring us. We saw her interact with other customers and she seemed to be the same way. Don't know how she still has her job. Most people come here for the bread and cinnamon butter which is good but the food is what really won me over. Not to mention the service which is excellent. Good place for steaks, service is very good and friendly. If your in the area and in the mood for steak it's a must try. What I did like is that they have a counter with fresh cut steaks and you can pick the one you want. I had the steak and rib combo the steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty but the ribs were extremely dry.
