Does anyone manage this restaurant? A reservation was made for 7:45 after a law school graduation. Our party arrived and there was no record of it. Following a bit of confusion, we told the hosts that our reservation was made through "Jason." The reaction...."Oh God! Jason! Geez, he forgot to write it down!" Seriously?? We eventually get a table that is too small to accommodate our party. We remain seated at this table and we sought a manager. She (didn't get the name) apologizes and offers appetizers while we wait for yet another table. 8:30 pm by now... Around 8:45 we are finally seated and food and beverage service resumes. Ben....it started out so good! It did, but it went downhill the later in the night it became. Food was very good (and the only reason for any star at all) Drinks were not replenished and the coup de grace was that the check was delivered to a party of 12 without asking if anyone wanted dessert or coffee. Thought the ribs were mediocre at best! Seemed like it was sitting around & not so fresh. I've had better home cooked ribs. So it was a little disappointing. I have been going to Texas Roadhouse for a while but we had a bad experience with a waitress we never had before. She barely came to the table to see if we needed anything. It took 25 minutes to find her and ask for the check. When we finally got the check she stood at the table waiting for the payment which we found extremely rude. Next time we go we will make sure she is not our waitress. read more

I truly enjoy the environment and food at Texas Roadhouse. My server, Osei, was fantastic at keeping tabs on the table and communication with the food. The only reason I give 4 stars is due to the quality of the food. Some steak fries were hollow, and my steak looked a bit under cooked. Ordered to go today, which I've done in the past... the ribs were either old or undercooked. When I called to complain I was told this wasn't possible, the employee rambled on about how they cook the meat. Meanwhile I paid $22 for ribs that taste terrible. This wasn't my first poor ordering experience. The staff is not very well educated on gluten free allergies either. Clearly their food standards and customer service has changed. Which is a shame since they try to brand themselves as not another steak chain- unfortunately they are just that. Try Chris Michaels Steakhouse instead, you won't be disappointed. My friend works here so I go here often. This particular location sat us quickly. The rolls were okay, a little over baked. My drink (pictured) was fantastic! The country fried chicken was very good, as well as the sweet potato and Caesar salad, which is my favorite thing the Texas Roadhouse makes. Was here today, 4/3/16, for my Birthday dinner. We were seated right away. I told the server that we had a free appetizer for my birthday. The bread was delicious. The cactus bloom app was pretty good. When the entrees came out, things took a turn. Two sides were missing. All three of the steaks ordered were wrongly cooked. Trying to signal a server was challenging. Two people at the table were able to swap steaks and be semi-ok with their dinner. Mine was overcooked to the point it had to be sent back. The burger was acceptable. The chicken strips were not good at all. My replacement steak came out after everyone was done eating. The replacement was actually cooked perfectly, but would have been enjoyed much more if it were eaten with the rest of the group. Two meals were removed from the bill, which was nice. came here last night with bf who raves about this place. def a great choice if you're craving meat. it was a "homey" feel place. majority of the seating were booths. free roasted peanuts and peanut shells all over the floor - galore! our waiter, chip, wore a straw cowboy hat and was really great at checking in on us. first - the endless freshly baked bread with cinammon butter!!! i could have def eaten all this all night long! we also shared a cactus blossom which is their version of outback's bloomin' onion. def liked their version better than outback. crispier and not mushy at the roots of the bloom?! did that make sense? oh well. bf ordered a 24 oz sirloin, medium. his two sides - hearty chili & a baked potato. he ate it all and enjoyed every last bit. i had a full rack of ribs with mashed potatoes and corn. the bbq sauce was sweet and had a slight kick to it. i def couldn't finish it all so i took the rest to go! The sheer volume of dinner guests at this place still amazes me... We accidentally were lured into this place when it first opened up a while back and decided to try it because it was something we were not accustomed to. The service was terrible... Appetizers were cold, the entrees were cold, and the drinks were not refilled until after we paid the bill. Nothing on the menu seemed to be too appealing and everything we tried was either frozen/reheated or cliche American chain standards. Having spent a fair amount of time in Houston and Dallas over the years, the word "Texas" in the restaurant's name is a pure INSULT to the entire state. I love this place. First time here was for a friends birthday. Omg you sit on a saddle and twirl a napkin. Singing happy Birthday. Amazing. They have servers just randomly Singing a song together. This was one of our go-to restaurants when we were dieting for our wedding because they have a ton of well balanced, healthy options, and since it's a chain, the nutritional information is readily available. The food is inexpensive and really good. They may not be using the best quality of meat, but they make up for it by cooking it perfectly. There were quite a few issues tonight. To start with they have no seating for larger parties. We had 9 people and had to split up and eat at two tables Five of us ordered filet mignon. Three were under cooked. When sent back they came under cooked a second time. My steak was grizzle and so tough I could barely even cut it. When the manager brought my steak back , mine was perfect; however by that point I had been hungry so I ate my sides and was really to full to eat the steak. My aunt ordered a drink and got two separate charges which is confusing and irritating that one drink gets two separate charges In the end they insisted we get two bills because we were two tables even though we were one party. One manager offered to comp the one steak that came cooked wrong twice plus gave a free meal certificate and a free dessert. The other manager only comp'd the meal. This lead to a lot of hard feelings and anger that for the same issue one person was treated with so much more concern then the other. When it was brought up to the manager she came back with an appetizer card to make up for the free dessert plus free meal the other table was given. I mean, really? I don't think anyone in our party of nine enjoyed their meal tonight after all the irritation. Oh, yes, the bread they brought over to the table was way over cooked. Superb place for steak! The steaks are all fresh showed off their daily cuts as you walk in! Their cuts are made for all those of different oz based on your hunger. Their cooked perfectly.. I am usually used to telling some places to cook it right. But next time I know if I come back I won't have any issues with how well or rare they cook the meat! This place is great if you're a steak lover! It's a very causal place that offers really good food at a reasonable price. For apps we had the Grilled Shrimp, Boneless Chicken wings, and Cheese Fries they were all really good especially the shrimp. For the entrée we all had steak. I prefer the Filet cooked medium, and It was cooked to perfection. It came with mash potato with cheese and sour cream and shrimp. My boyfriend had the T-bone, and his cousins had the Ribeye and the strip they were all really good. Love this place! read more

I'd come here just for their bread and cinnamon butter. Steak is good; i usually order mine done medium and I don't have any complaints so far. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. (I've never ordered from their bar so can't comment on that). The waiters and waitresses are always very pleasant!! I usually don't come when it's super busy so they always come around to take care of whatever we need. Definitely 4-5 star-quality service imo. Fair warning!: this place can get loud. And there will be peanut shells all over the floor haha. If you don't like restaurants that get noisy, I'd take this into consideration. All in all, I always have a great time when I come here. Wow...I was surprised, normally my fiancee and I hate chain steakhouses but this place rocked! We dined in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday and this place was packed. Not a big deal though as we were hastily seated and visited by a waitress. Our waitress was fun and knew a lot about her product which helped since we were never here before. I ordered a Margarita which was top notch in flavor and size. We also order fried pickles which are kind hard to find in NJ so my fiancee was excited. I passed on an app because I was too busy CHOWING down on the "every 5 min" baked bread. The bread which is always provided for you comes with a Honey, Cinnamon butter that really works with the rolls. Believe it or not, I didn't order steak. I did get the chicken critters. They were very deep fried but contained so much juicy almost pure white meat inside the batter. The steak fires which I normally don't like were a great choice for my side. My fiancee had some kind of strip steak covered in gravy. She all most immediately regretted getting the gravy because the steak tasted so good without it. Not one issue. We hate to, but we honestly have to say that we fell in love with the place after just one visit. The service here is awesome. The wait wasn't too bad on a Friday with a packed house. They aren't too pushy on the upsale. I had the 20oz ribeye medium well and it was done to perfection. The Missus had the 8oz sirloin which came well done but was ordered medium. The situation was rectified immediately and the manager came by to make sure everything was alright and even double checked to make sure the correct temperature was achieved on the cut. The sides were left while a new steak was prepared and also returned with fresh sides. Everything was hot and delicious. Cocktails were a good strength. Never a bad experience here. This is my first time visiting Texas Roadhouse. I have heard great things about the steakhouse as well as reviews. I came here with 3 other fellas. I must say I'm not a weekly steak type of guy, I'm more of a once a month or so steak eater. This said steaks were very good. Ribeye was delicious and looked the best out of everything we ordered. I think we came on a Wednesday where they have some nice specials but only on sirloin steak.. Still a great deal. Bread was great as others talk about and the peanuts was a nice touch. Service was great attentive and all steaks came out great. This is not no Peter Luger's but definitely a place that won't break your bank and you can pop in during a week without reservations etc. I would recommend to all steak eaters to come get your steak on here. read more

My family and I went to this restaurant solely based on the recommendation of my brother, who has been here several times. It's no wonder he frequents this place relatively often. All four of us ordered steaks that were cooked correctly. I had the ribeye/ribs combination meal, which was mostly satisfactory. The meat of the ribs was falling off the bone as would be expected, but some parts tasted a bit dry. However, as this place is more known for the steaks, it would probably be best to stick with that part of the menu. My mixed vegetable side was thankfully not boiled or steamed to death as it usually is at these chain establishments. I was quite surprised by the number of negative reviews for this establishment. For a $20 steak dinner, I wasn't even expecting the steaks to be cooked correctly, but they indeed were. The service was also very attentive for a restaurant of this caliber. Perhaps we didn't have the same negative experience because we went on a Thursday night and did not have to wait for a table. It might therefore be best to try this place during the week. read more

The biscuits are so baller. That was really the reason I decided to surprise my man with a trip to the Roadhouse-- they give you so much food for such good prices and it all tastes so great. We started with those biscuits and got the Cactus Blossom for an app. It's no Bloomin' Onion, but it ain't too bad either. I'd recommend the chili as a side dish-- it's so hearty and delicious, and was really complimentary to my pulled pork (which was also wonderful). The only downside to this place is that you basically need a DD to get home because unless you're a tank and can eat anything, don't attempt driving in a Roadhouse-induced food coma. Interestingly enough my previous review vanished into thin air... and even more interesting is there are only reviews from 5 months ago when this location has been open for more than two years... suspicious. Have been here many times, there is usually a wait so expect one. The fried pickles are pretty good here they have a nice flavor and come with some sort of cajun horseradish dipping sauce. The tater skins I have tried more than once and they always seemed too dried out. The blossom is pretty much the same as a bloomin onion from that other chain steakhouse :cough: I love pulled pork and although TXRH makes one that has good flavor to it, I have never had it where it wasn't dried out so I stopped ordering that, I usually got it with a side of chili which is always very good however. The ribs here were cooked very well but personally I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce, others I was with disagreed so this is a try for yourself item, they were cooked perfectly though. The steaks are the way to go... I mean you came to a steakhouse. Go up and pick your own go back to the table and enjoy it. The burgers were average to me, nothing to write home about. The servers are for the most part all generally friendly and attentive even though this place gets slammed, they hustle. One of the last places that still serves peanuts, everywhere else that did around here cleaned up from either their lawyers telling them or peanut allergies. mehhhh!!! went there with friend over a year ago. We both wanted steaks. It took them 5 steaks to "cook it right" and it was still messed up. The manager ended up coming over to us to first tell us that they cooked our steaks wrong and had to refire them ok, waitress apparently didn't want to tell us. She miracously disappeared the rest of the service except to bring us our "comped check" It was horrible. They are a steak place someone doesn't know how to cook med-rare. They screwed up both our steaks 5 times..Not only that they don't have many choices on cuts.We had gone there one other time and wanted ribs they were dry and mildly warm(temp) never went back.. prefer Charlie Brown's or Longhorns which has a better selection of steaks and are cooked perfect EVERY time. read more
