Did not like the service in front. Called in advance for the wait list. When I arrived, I came inside to informed them we are here. They are aware that we arrived and told us to wait and they will notify us when a table is available in about 15 min. 25 minutes past and noticed many others people going in and getting seated. Went inside to see how much longer to only be told that the table has been ready. We asked why didn't I get notified when the table was ready. Their response was that we had to be waiting inside for us to be seated even though they told us to wait and they will call me when to go inside. I even noticed during the time we waited outside, one employee called on someone else outside that their table was ready!! They need to hire new staff and new management if this is how people are treated. read more

Got Steak and Burger , neither the steak or burger were warm, especially the burger, felt like it was just sitting out after being thawed, not to mention the patty was super dry so just imagine you're munching on a carpet. We also sat there waited for 20+ mins for our togos, but when I mentioned it to our server again, he didn't even remember to give us our togos. Literally had enough and just went home. My family and I come here every week. The manager is absolutely amazing and so is the food. One of the few places these days that you can get quality food for great prices! We always get the grilled shrimp app x 2, buffalo wings and the filet medallions with a house salad. And lots of rolls with the cinnamon butter!! I hate leaving negative reviews but this needs to be said. My son and I popped in for an early dinner. We each ordered water and a cactus blossom to start with. It wasn't until 15 minutes later that the server and her trainee returned to take our order. Someone came by with my salad in one hand and a cactus blossom in the other (which I assumed was mine) but left only the salad on the table before walking off. After another long wait we got our entrees. My son was missing a sauce which he could have easily reminded the server about but we were done by the time they came back. I had ordered mac n cheese as a side...it looked and smelled like mac n cheese but had no cheese flavor of any kind. We got the check and it was for more than twice what it should have been, obviously it was meant for another table. We got the real check and not only were we charged for the cactus blossom we never got but also 2 sodas that we never ordered. The error on the check was corrected but I've consistently had bad service at this location and felt I need to leave these comments. I placed multiple curbside orders to be ready at a specific time. I sat wand watched 7-10 employees walk in and out of the back and enter the curbside shack. One of those employees carried multiple orders out of the store to the curbside shack and still no one came out to check if I was picking up. My family and I went for Memorial Day. We went early to avoid the dinner crowd so we got there a little before 5pm. It took 15 minutes to get our drink order, they weren't that busy. The rolls were cold and hard. When our food came out I was ready to walk out to be honest. My ribeye was cold and undercooked. The Mac and cheese my 8 year old and 5 year old ordered was plain, dried out elbow noodles with some type of Cheese sauce on top of the bowl. They didn't even bother to mix it up. When I sent it back the server asked what was wrong with it. Hello it isn't made right, it's Mac and cheese not elbow noodles sprinkled with cheese water. Come on do better. I'm from Houston but now live out of state. On my current vacation me and the husband wanted to come here and we did, twice. The atmosphere is the same. We love the Texas feel. And love the peanuts on the floor. It's cute. I love that the dancers have their own cute little dance. Its awesome and the appetizer bread and butter is the best! The first time we were here, they had no Diet Coke. My waitress was very nice though and I could tell she felt bad so we didn't make a big fuss. Thankfully my husband had a Diet Coke in the car so we smuggled it in. Haha. My steak however was over cooked. On our second visit. We brought more people. Our party was large and the wait was not bad considering how many of us there were. The waitress was very nice and this time there was Diet Coke. My steak however was over cooked again. I like my steak with a little pink and no pink was present both times. It was very tough and dry. I also didn't like the green beans or the brownie. The green beans were mushy and the brownie was so dense and really sweet. My sister liked the green beans so it might just come down to presence in taste. Either way, it's not something I'll miss. My son and stopped by before going to a movie. Even though the parking lot was packed we got a table and sat right down.. The first rolls we ok but they second batch were hot and so soft. I must say that our food came out very fast- so fast that as soon as I took a bite of my salad the appetizers hit the table- so fast that as soon as the appetizers hit the table or entries was here. (On the 3rd bite of my salad.) So I engulf on my salad- miss out on the appetizer - so my steak wouldn't get cold. Well I did grab two blossoms. Now my broccoli that came with my Ribeye was very good and favorable. Now my Ribeye (12oz) was seasoned just right and favorable. Lets start with a vivacious waitress named Victoria! Now you know she had to be excellent to start a review by addressing the waitress. We couldn't have a better waitress than we had and it was a busy Friday evening. Speaking of busy the place seemed to have exploded with customers around 530pm. The appetizer was really good. We ordered the appetizer combo plate which had tater skins, rattlesnake bites and boneless chicken wings. My wife had the tater skins which she really liked. They had lots of cheese and bacon. The chicken wings were ordered to be spicy which were not very hot but very meaty and tender. Now we found the rattlesnake bites to be interesting. They were diced Jalapeños with Jack cheese that were deep fried balls. They unique and good. I just couldn't eat just one type of flavor. The we both ordered burgers. My wife had her burger medium well which she found a bit dry and will next order medium like I did. Nothing but good ness to say about these burgers. She had the bacon burger with a sweet potato while I ordered the smokehouse burger with steak fries. These burgers were stacked! They were humongous!!! I NEVER cut my burger in half, I always just dig right n but not these burgers. I had to cut it if I wanted to get a bite. My burger came with sautéed onions and loads of mushrooms in addition to the Jack Cheese and bacon. The were many fries. I am embarrassed to report that we were not able to finish our meals! We were so stuffed half way through that we just stared at our plates. We easily could have ordered one burger and split it and with the appetizer been more than satisfied. I am not sure if I would do the smokehouse burger simply because it was a bit too sloppy. Also I may order a medium rare to get it medium. We have lived in Deer Park for 6 years and have been very regular customers of this location. We used to visit quite often but our frequency has died down over the past year. In the past we always had wonderful experiences and never had anything to complain about! However, we've visited twice over the last 3 months and both experiences were the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I worked several years in the service industry and always try to have understanding and grace when dining out. These two recent experiences were just absolutely ridiculous. Both times our server was attentive in the beginning, but after ordering our food we never saw them again. Our most recent experience we genuinely went 35 minutes without seeing our server. There was never even another server nearby we could have grabbed. Drinks sat empty. Things were missing from our orders. We were completely abandoned. The first visit when we expressed our concern to the manager the manager stood up for the server praising that she was one of their best and basically didn't believe a word we said. While I understand the customer is NOT always right... this was absolutely unacceptable. We were not trying to "get anything for free". Just some refills and the correct things we ordered would have been nice. Not sure if this place is under new management or what is going on, but felt pretty insane to receive horrific service two visits in a row spread apart by months. Definitely won't be back for a while. Not worth another try. read more

After a tee ball game asked for a table for 7, 3 of use were at the restaurant 8:30 in the evening. Kids really wanted Road House so we made an exception on a school night. No wait plenty of open tables so we asked to be seated to get some orders placed. Hostess, and managers all refused to seat us until the entire party arrived. Zero wait, no line, open tables all over the restaurant. Our party arrive parked in the first spot outside the door, they still refused to seat us until they walked in. We were very disappointed in there actions, even with an empty restaurant. Our goal was to get in and out with the kids on a school night after tee ball. Only thing managers stated the rules are on the sign on the wall. With an empty restaurant there should be some sympathy for customers waiting. read more

One of the best places to eat especially if you're wanting steak. I eat at TXRH a lot and this was my first time at this location. But I've never been disappointed in my dining experiences at any location. The food is always served in a timely manner hot, fresh and is delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned to my satisfaction. The hostesses are nice they always greet with a smile when walking in the door. I'm not sure how to rate this one 1st I got a for a mash potatoes and chilly. The food was excellent I still think the food can hold up to any expensive steak in town. I've had one other that was a wagyu steak and I love that one a lot. The rest of the experience was why you missed the other stars. The COVID distancing is none existing. And the waitress kinda sucked. I asked about the free appetizer on my birthday and I was told no they don't do that. Also the waitress at the next table was on point and made mine look bad. Cold steak and hard old rolls the waiters weren't to bad but only came by our table a couple times

I want to make it clear that this review pertains to those who like very little pink on their steak which is my wife's preference. If you order yours medium or below the experience is very consistent and over all good.... Food here is pretty good however for people who like their steaks on the done side but still flavorful and juicy I don't recommend. My wife orders hers medium well because she doesn't like too much red but she also don't want it dry and chewy and that's where this particular location needs improvement. I can't put my finger on it but my hunch is that in order to save time and get those MW and WD steaks out fast they probably mark a few of them on the grill and then throw them on a baking sheet then put them in a convection oven at 280F or thereabouts. As they cook slow they release their juice and cook at the temp they want and then pull out a steak whenever they get an order for MW/WD steaks and whatever gets cooked to well done they would have the choice to serve to someone who likes WD steak or just pull it and cut it to serve the jr steak bites from the kids menu... for them is the perfect answer but the problem is that those customers are no longer eating a grilled steak, they are eating a boiled steak that cooked on its own juices. While it may seem juicy it has certain characteristics that are not enjoyable to the palate such as that boiled taste, a lack of spices since most gets washed away with the liquid the meat simmers into, and a soft and pale outer surface instead of that crisp toasty crust a grilled steak should have. We have tried to avoid this by ordering it medium and then as soon as they bring it out we send it back to continue cooking to the desired temperature but it's futile because their kitchen staff has horrible practices on grilling steaks in order to reduce cooking times and it's very obvious that as soon as they get our steak back on the grill they start to lean on it and press and squeeze all the juices out of it so that they bring it to us dried up and with the grill marks on one side indented so far into the meat that it drives me crazy the egregious disregard for the customer experience. We used to go there very often because we enjoyed the place and food but out of at least 30 visits I remember only 2 or 3 occasions that they actually got her steak right. We recently started to go to the Texas Roadhouse on gulf freeway and el dorado Blvd and they gotten it right 3 out of 3 times. Today we gave the Spencer location a shot again and boiled steak again... will not be coming back to this location even though it's so much closer to my house than the other one. read more

This review is for the food I have picked up to go the last several times - in fact I am DONE. No more orders to go from the Pasadena Roadhouse! I have rarely had a bad meal when eating AT the restaurant, so it boggles my mind the food to go could possibly be so consistently BAD. The steak is always tougher and less seasoned, the salad evidently takes mere minutes to wilt when ordered to go, and the baked potatoes aren't able to melt the butter and cheese they provide because they are lukewarm upon arrival at my home. The delicious hot rolls they are known for were actually frigid when I got home with my order last night. Knowing from several failed attempts that the food will need reheating, I preheat the oven and utilize the microwave on a minimal basis to try and achieve some similarity to the restaurant experience. After a half dozen failures, I am sorry to report it is time for this family to move on to Saltgrass or Outback. read more
