I will preface this by saying they have the best jalapeño sausage I've ever tried at any bbq restaurant. However, I wasn't a fan of the brisket because it was pretty dry and tough to eat. Also, the pulled pork was fine texture wise, but again, it could have been more moist, and I've definitely had better at other bbq joints. The service was quick, and everyone there was really nice, but it is a small restaurant and had hole in the wall vibes, so ambiance isn't anything to rave about either. The mac n cheese and coleslaw were good, but I expect that from any restaurant. I will say the little piece of garlic bread they give on the side is amazing. It's so warm and soft and tastes delicious. For the price, it's not bad. I think it came out to less than $15 a person. read more

Second time trying Dickey's BBQ at 2 different locations. First experience was awful few years later decided to try it again at a different location. Service was good greeted upon walking in the Bay Area Boulevard establishment. Took a look at the menu and decided to try the brisket sandwich being it was crowded and I wanted something quick. Placed my order with the counter guy and he asked if I wanted it sliced or chopped. I chose sliced, paid him and took a seat. Counter guy brought it to me maybe 4 to five minutes. Got to work which is 4 minutes away from the establishment. Opened the wrapping bread was hard as a rock, meat was cold plus very salty.and it wasn't sliced. Chose not to eat it because I was very dissatisfied. 9.50 plus tax for something that wasn't even worth it. The sauce is excellent. All three, original, sweet, and spices. The chicken was very tasty. The soft serve ice cream is a never fail hit. However, the tiny pecan pie is a fail. The beans, unremarkable. The main events, ribs and brisket, might make it somewhere like New Jersey but they're not as good as any other place I've been in Texas. That includes 26 of Texas Monthly's top 50. The smoke ring and the bark looked nothing like the owner published picture. They use pellets to smoke the meat. What a disappointment... ordered through Uber eats at the Bay Area Blvd Houston location and I can say they obviously don't care about delivery orders. $60.67 and we've had better bbq from a sketchy food truck. Sliced brisket was full of grissel and fat. Mac n cheese was orange glue. They didn't have brisket chili we ordered so they substituted with $.20 cents worth of dry mashed potatoes. Went last night for the first time. My wife and I both had sliced brisket and ribs. The ribs were tender and flavorful, but I think they were cooked in the oven. My wife knows quite a bit about cooking and food prep and we do our own ribs in the oven when I am unable to grill, so I am confident in my claim. The brisket could have been a touch more tender, but it was still very good. It had a nice crust and was well seasoned, But there was no smoky flavor. That was a big disappointment. There wasn't even a smoke ring. I am giving them four stars because the meat was good quality and well seasoned, but I expect smoked meat at a BBQ restaurant. It's always good to come to this Dickey's location. It's always clean, quality of food has never decreased, portions are super good and they have FOR MANY YEARS always been really good and attentive. I forget names but the gentleman that prepares our sandwiches remembers not only us but many of the clients as he always greats in a welcoming way. Ladies at cashier or drive through are always with a smile. I'm not and have never been disappointed with this place. We were one of the first costumer when this location opened and we keep coming to the same one although other's opened around. Oh my gosh! My husband and I decided to grab a bite to eat at your Dayton location on 90. I went in about 12 noon and planned to order sliced brisket. The girl tells me it will be another 4 hours before it's ready. Are u serious I told her. She precedes to tell me that they can do chopped brisket from YESTERDAY!!! Are you kidding me. We went to the Dickies BBQ place on 1800 North Park in Kingwood. The one in Nederland was really good!! Service, food, and atmosphere, but this one is no good. We got baked potatoes with brisket and brisket was half fat, half meat. Asked for chives and you will get them from a bottle not fresh. A little cheese, a little butter, a little sour cream,and there's your baked potato. We did not enjoy at all. We went there to really eat some creamy spinach. Dickey's is a legit, fast bbq joint in a location lacking bbq joints. I work at NASA and this really is the only quick bbq option for lunch in the area within a 1 mile radius from work. They have great daily specials. i like the pulled pork the best, and their sausage is a close second. Never eaten at Dickie's before but we sure will in the future. The pulled pork sandwich was so tender and full of flavor and the mac and cheese with brisket was also very good. The place was clean and the bathroom was spotless. Good value for what you get and way better than Rudy's or Pappa's bbq. Khristina, Suzy and Stephanie were all super friendly and all of them had a smile on there face. I just received my food through door dash. I ordered the 3 meat plate with 2 sides with pickles. Tell me why I don't even have enough meat to make 2 whole sandwiches. And I received 2....TWO slices of pickles and 2 slices of onions. Am I suppose to just put 1 pickle and 1 onion on 1 of my sandwiches?! This is ridiculous. I called to ask about this and was told they weigh all of their meats out before serving which is 3 oz. I get that. I'm not even upset about that too much. I'm more upset about the 2 pickle slices I received with my food. Just wow. They said if I wanted extra pickles I should have stated that on my order.
