Been to several TR restaurants and this one did not disappoint. Prime rib was so good and tender. Chicken fried steak was awesome. Service was ok, got some cold Mac and cheese and when it came back it was still cold. That's the only negative I have for this great steakhouse. read more

On vacation, the restaurant we wanted to go to was completely jammed. The wait time was somewhere between one and 1/2 hours so we decided to find another option. That's when we found Texas roadhouse. We actually have a Texas roadhouse in Illinois - so we were pretty sure we would not be disappointed in the meal. We walked in and were seated immediately. We ordered drinks, my husband had a beer and I had a martini-it was absolutely delicious. What was even better is that they left the martini shaker with my drink. So many places do not do that and I was very impressed that they didn't just throw the rest of my martini away. My husband had a chopped steak as for whatever reason he is not a state guy. Who isn't a steak guy? However I am a steak girl and I was very impressed with my medium cooked steak. It was perfect. My husband was extremely impressed with his chopped steak too. He likes his meat well done and it was well done. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very attentive. Food was just OK. I would really say for the most part, mediocre at best. The best and most enjoyable: The bread with what I think was apple butter. Also the fried pickles. The mediocre: The 8oz sirloin. I found the meat to be quite chewy and dry. Of course I solved that with steak sauce, well, solved the dry part, it was still chewy. The less than mediocre: The fresh vegetables which was steamed broccoli and carrots. Very underwhelming. Steak fries, they were soggy. The food is really 2 stars in my opinion, so what gets them 3. We had an amazing experience at this roadhouse. Definitely a great "go to" when in a trip like this. Our waitress was amazing and truly did an awesome job of keeping drinks full and the food was at the table so quickly. We wasn't there long at all. Had plenty of bread and salads along with some cheese fries and them our main entree's were excellent. read more

Star loss is due to food quality unfortunately. The salmon we received was cooked hard and the broccoli had no seasoning. I've dined at the Texas Roadhouse all over the US, and the reason I do is because I can always get a decent meal, good service at a good value. Not this time though! My family and I decided to travel for the holidays so on 12/23/24 we decided to eat at the Texas Roadhouse. The biggest issue I had was with my meal I ordered the 16oz sirloin medium well. When the waitress brought our meals our mine was rare to med rare. Please keep in mind my wife ordered the Filet well done. Her steak was perfect. the waitress sent it back to the kitchen, while my family finished their meal and finally brought it back it was still not done properly. They had cooked it on only one side so the top was well done. While the bottom was still undercooked. She went and called he manager and he came over and when I explained what's had been going on he had zero care! He asked me what I would like him to do? with an attitude! Then he said, and I am quoting," there is no way to cook that steak medium well." I was blown away! I choked down what I could and asked for the bill. Cheynne was very apologetic for her managers attitude. When I received the bill he had taken $12.50 the bill my steak that I could not eat was $24.99. So he had me pay for a meal that Was really inedible. I sincerely hope that this is just poor judgement on behalf of a lousy Manager and not the policy of Texas Roadhouse. read more

Stopped in for a late dinner around 9:30pm after spending all day at Dollywood Park. We were 4 adults and 2 children. Very busy for this late but we were seated in about 15 minutes which I thought was excellent. Our server was Amber and she was super. We were hardly seated when she was there asking for our drink order. She was very quick and on the ball with drinks and our meal. Really enjoyed her enthusiasm and she took really good care of us. Especially with doing the birthday surprise for my daughter who was celebrating her 40th. Having her sit on the saddle was a very nice touch. Sierra was my server when I was there (vacation) on 08/11/2022 at 6:35 PM and she was amazing, outstanding & wonderful. She always came around to make sure I was doing ok and if I needed anything. Usually servers/waitresses, for whatever reason, don't pay any attention to me as I'm usually eating by myself. Sierra went out her way to make sure I was ok. Our steaks tasted like a bottle of smoke sauce was used to season them. My brother-in-laws steak was tough and we had a terrible server. We finally had to get up from our table to go to the front to ask for rolls for the our table. They brought them and they were cold. Just a horrible experience for weary, hungry travelers. Can't rate the food, as the gray-haired hostess was extremely rude regarding my service dog. After 2-3 groups had been seated that came in after us, we mentioned it to a young man & he told us to stand in the numbered queue to be seated. The hostess sent over a staff member who whispered to me, we don't have room for the dog. I explained that he is a service dog and the gray-haired hostess yelled over to us, "WE CAN'T SEAT YOU WITH THAT DOG!" Ummm....first of all, it's against Federal law to deny a service dog & second don't yell at me. I tried to explain that I could take the dog out of his stroller (he's a 10# dog....yes, a fully trained for 10 years service dog). However, she very rudely told me to go wait back outside. I immediately left & called the manager, Rebecca, who made a half-hearted attempt at an apology, she did offer for us to please come back, but I refused & said she would speak to the hostess. I gently reminded her that they cannot legally deny me access, however, I don't have any intention of being where my business is not wanted. GREAT experience!! Visited on a Sunday afternoon with a party of 13 and was seated in less than 20 minutes- with 4 children in the party this was a huge win. Our server, whom I would love to give credit to but have forgotten his name, was great with accommodating such a large party with difficult people. He kept the drinks full and made sure we always had free bread on our table. Food was awesome, no one had a single problem and we enjoyed, nonetheless. Called in our order then drove to the restaurant and didn't have to wait no more than 10 minutes. Customer service was excellent and we received everything according to what we ordered. The girl that brought our order was super nice. The only down side was the sirloin was a bit overdone but considering the amount of people coming in and out that really didn't bother me because it was still tender. Side note; there were people outside waiting that never went in before we got our food and left so I'd recommend curbside pickup. read more

We called about two hours before to let them know we were arriving with around 20 guests. When we arrived they told us it's a 20 minute wait then called us inside just to make us wait 5 more minutes. After we were seated, they took our drink orders. It took around 40-50 minutes for them to bring out the drinks and only ONE table received all of their drinks. As they're handing out the drinks, they're also taking food orders. My mom's table STILL hasn't gotten any drinks so she requests water for the table, and the waitress brings a single bottle of water to the table, seeing the rest of the table drinkless.. It takes about an hour total for our food to come out. My brother didn't get all of what he asked for and the waitress told him "no that's YOURS, we could get you your side of shrimp". I obviously had something to say and when I did, she walked away while replying "Yall are rude.", as if she didn't force a plate of food (that he didn't want, might I add) back into my brothers hand. Be prepared to wait in the heat. The waiting area is not air conditioned and very small. They won't let you wait inside. Someone, I assume the manager told us to wait in our cars and told us in a very rude manner that she was sorry they don't have air conditioned space for the 250 people waiting. Need a new manager. We have been to a few different Texas Roadhouse locations but this one in Pigeon Forge was not that great. Besides waiting more than a half hour for a table, our food arrived cold. I ordered the full rack of ribs and my wife got the half rack. When we asked our waitress to heat them up, she said she would have to get the manager. She returned and said "the manager asked if you want a new order or just want them heated up?" We said just heat them up. A little while later the manager brought two new orders ... both of which were the same temperature as the previous ones. There were plenty of empty tables so not sure why we would need to wait a half hour to get in. Overall not impressed with this restaurant. read more

Texas Roadhouse is always a great value, and this location was no exception. Super-friendly servers are obviously well trained and treated customers very well. The service is quick and efficient. Well organized too. Our meals / steaks and sides were all perfect. Not a complaint from the four of us. Well done chef. My only suggestion was the odd way they seated people. Our party of four, as were other parties of four, were seated in a nearly empty place in booths that barely accommodated four. Uncomfortable. Meanwhile, every party of two was seated at a larger booth that seated four to six. Argh. We witnessed this 7 times. Every time... Maybe the best Texas Roadhouse! My younger brothers and I stopped here during a family reunion and let me tell you they can eat A LOT. We were greeted and seated very quickly. They have the bottomless rolls with cinnamon butter which the waitress refilled often. I got a margarita which also came quickly. We ordered a lot of food and it was all delicious. The waitress, Patti, was very polite and attentive and definitely made the experience better. Overall, I've been to a lot of Texas Roadhouses but this one was definitely one of the better ones.
