This is one of my favorite chains so it's hard for me to give it only three stars but this location has issues. The service was ok but my bartender never check my to go food. Which means I ended up with a potato with nothing on it (not even butter), the shrimp was very tasty but I got a cold steak. Their table bread is wonderful as you know, but the bread that came with the steak was tough and hard to eat. The corn was just ok. I only went five minutes away so cold food is not acceptable. While the food was good The service was better than before The entrance/lobby I'm not a fan of due to all the peanut shells on the floor. Not very sanitary is this day and age. The floor was a little sticky where we were seated. Not a fan of how loud they play the music, can barely have a conversation with the people sitting at your own table. We need a new steakhouse competitor here in Rosenberg. The steak, which should be the stars when you come to eat at a "steakhouse", are terrible! They are not cooked to your request, they are falling apart because they are not seared correctly, and they are subpar quality. I had a ft worth ribeye, 14oz and I only ate half of it because it was late and I was hungry. The seasoning is good, but damn... make better steaks. How can your sides be better than your steak??? Call yourself Texas Sidehouse. Come for the salad, baked potato, and rolls. Do better! Flat out, invest in better meat and better cooks of that meat, please. I've dined at several Texas Roadhouse locations but this one is the best so far in my opinion. The music is there but not super blaring like some of them. The service is quick and efficient. The basket of rolls come onto the table piping hot and who doesn't like their cinnamon butter? We know we're off to a great start when the server automatically brings you another basket without us asking! The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, my liking. The sides were also consistent and I have no complaints. My favorites remain as seasoned rice, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and green beans (it is cooked with bacon bits, though not listed on menu - just FYI if you didn't know). Overall a great location with top notch service and food. Lots of options as far as meats and sides. Like I said, my number one TR location, which is always affordable and reasonably priced. read more

Nobody's ever accused chain restaurants of having amazing food...but... Wife and I went in on a Friday night. They were pretty busy, so we dealt with the wait to get seated and were willing to deal with a reasonable wait for our food, but this was not their A, B, or even C team we were dealing with. First, the waitress got our drink orders. Wife ordered water, I ordered a Dos XX Chelada. Took a WHILE to get these, and when I got my chelada, it was basically a full cup of Clamato with a splash of beer. I had to ask for another beer and empty cup to save it. We also had a coupon for free fried pickles but they didn't have any left...so there's that. We ordered our food: salmon for the wife and pulled pork for me. It took an hour to get our food. While we were waiting, though, we were entertained twice by the entire waitstaff screaming at the top of their lungs about someone's birthday. Was very annoying. We then got a special treat...a random show...the entire waitstaff busts out their version of the boot scoot boogie. It was strange because there wasn't music playing until the song came on and they all danced. Kind of degrading if you ask me. Like you're already getting my food, I don't need you to dance for me. Anyway, when the food FINALLY came out, my wife's salmon was over cooked and my pulled pork was dry and hard like beef jerky. They also forgot one of my wife's sides. We asked the manager if she could take the entree back. She asked if I wanted anything else instead and I politely said no. She said "I can literally give you the world on a plate." Umm...you can't even give us fried pickles (I didn't say that lol). Again, I politely said no and let her know we'd already been there a long time and they're clearly struggling back there. Ray, my waiter, was very kind and a great conversationalist. We had a nice conversation when I first sat down and he made very helpful recommendations about the menu. All of the employees have a smile on their face and seem to be happy! I think the only negative is that I almost feel like I'm at a concert because of how loud the music is. Idk what we were thinking when we came to Texas Roadhouse on Father's Day.. we sat at the bar because it was SO packed we ended sitting behind the draft beer dispenser that would over flow into our counter space. One of my worst dining experiences! This place seemed like a good idea since I've heard so much about the rolls. I decided to give it a try based on this complimentary bread basket. We ender up ordering fried pickles, steak & chicken fried steak with white gravy. While we waited we could not help to notice how dirty the entire section was. Floors were full of food & napkins all over the floor. There was layers of dust everywhere. Now I definitely understand if they were slammed but there were a group of employees huddled talking. One of them finally seemed to be cleaning but literally just pushed the mop once in the center isle. Mind you they set up 2 tables for a large group with so napkins & food all under the table. I don't know why I even proceeded to eat. There was something odd tasting about the mashed potatoes. Not sure how old the batch was. Everything else was just meh. Bad service, worse food. Our family decided to go to this Texas Roadhouse to celebrate a work promotion. There were 9 of us total. 8/9 showed up at 6pm... they refused to seat us because "we were not a complete party". There is no reason that we should not have been seated and served at least drinks as it was not busy at the time. We sat in the waiting area (which was hot as hell) for almost 30 minutes while we watched party after party seated ahead of us. Our last party member showed up at 6:30 so I informed the hostess. She said that we would have to wait longer for tables to become available. 15 more minutes later we are finally seated AT TWO SEPARATE BOOTHS!!! Not even back to back booths, but across the walkway. So much for talking with half my family... The waitress took a really long time to take our drink orders and even longer to bring them out. We ordered apps which were decent, but nothing to write home about. This is where it went really south. The waitress came to take our order, she asked me what I would like to order, was interrupted by another customer trying to get by, then she just walked off. Didn't come back to actually take our order for about 10 minutes! The waitress rarely checked on us, and my drink ran out two times for up to 20 minutes at a time. The food took almost an hour to be served. Our waitress didn't serve our food, but some other employee did, that had no clue who ordered what. My steak was supposed to be medium, and came out well done. My sisters steak was supposed to be rare, and came out well done (picture attached). They asked us if we wanted them to make us another and we refused because by this point it was 8pm and we had been there 2 hours already. They didn't offer a complimentary drink or desert or discount or anything to make up for their multiple errors throughout the night. I have been to this Texas Roadhouse several times and it has never been this bad. I will not be returning. I don't care to pay $60+ for mediocre food and bad service. read more

Peanut gallery at the entrance, low lighting, music playing, and Roadhouse staff moving about. STAFF: Today we were served by Amanda. Another pleasant experience with out waitress. Surprisingly, we were greeted by the restaurant manager. I say I was surprised because this is the first time this has happened at ANY Texas Roadhouse. It was refreshing to know Lauren walks around to check on her guests in order to see how they are doing. FOOD: We started lunch off with the classic fried pickles. You already know we inhaled the rolls as soon as they arrived to the table. Country fried chicken with brown gravy was my meal selection. The brown gravy was a tad cold, even though the chicken was warm. I could have really gone for hot everything. Buttered corn was good, but got too peppery as I reached the bottom of the saucer. Im guessing this was due to it not being fully mixed. Again I chose to have a baked potato accompany it all. On point as usual. Overall, I was satisfied because my belly was full. The last time I visited I ordered a medium rare prime rib , but it turned out to be medium well, I gave in and took the rib thinking maybe it is just a one time mistake. Tonight when I ordered my food I literally spelled it out"medium r.a.r.e", yet the kitchen still gave me a medium well prime rib , what a big disappointment. If your kitchen do not have medium rare prime rib available,please tell your customer upfront instead of sending a wrong order hoping you can get away with it. This review is for curbside service only.... Do not use curbside here ever!!! This is the second time stuff is not in my order. This time, there is not a song chosen sauce in the entire order. I should have 4. And what they do have is wrong!! My family is still disappointed. Last time I did curbside and this location they just left off parts of the order completely!! Are you asking if I checked? Yes, I made sure all I ordered was there. I just didn't open up every package to see about the sauces.... Go to the Grand Parkway location in Richmond for excellent curbside service. I tip no less than 20% on anything. This location doesn't deserve it in their curbside service. read more

Usually love TXRH but this experience was less than awesome, server was nice so that's the reason for 2 stars. The bread we were served (my fav part) was super flat and not fluffy like their usual rolls, resembled a flatbread or naan. But no biggie, we noticed they were busy so we rolled with it. Once we got our entrees I took a few bites of my chicken and noticed it was dry, I had ordered some gravy on the side and was using that in hopes that it would liven the chicken up but it was just lackluster. I also ordered green beans (which I usually do) and they came in a bowl of liquid, very soupy and I know they have juice that comes with it but it was drowning in this juice, my green beans were swimming. Obviously there's an issue in the kitchen, service was just fine, when I let the manager know that the food wasn't awesome and that I tried to enjoy it but I just couldn't, she let me know she would make an adjustment on the bill but when the bill arrived and I noticed she only took $6 off of our bill as opposed to the full amount of the dry chicken plate ($12) I was really disappointed.. I don't like to complain, I feel nervous about it and never want to upset anybody, so I just took the small discount and paid out. I assumed she thought I had too many bites of the chicken to discount the full price, however I took maybe 3 tops, just to see if just the first couple pieces were dry maybe the inside of the breast would be better, but obviously it wasn't. We have some friends that wanted to go to the Road House to eat a steak. I've never been a fan of the Roadhouse, but they are very close friends! They had a reservation but it still took 30 minutes for a seat! While going to the table they had a show case with steaks. They had some beautiful bone in ribeyes! Selected one and told them how I wanted it cooked. Got to the table and ordered the onion for an appetizer. Really good and I had to force myself to stop eating because I'd be too full for the steak! Steak came out and was perfect. I had steak fries that were perfect and the green beans had so much bacon and onions to make them fantastic! I came in not being impressed with eating there, but I confess it was a great experience! We'll be back! read more

Not the best, but we always have a good time here - so 4 stars. Steak quality and service could be improved, more so the service side. We always wait 30+ minutes for our orders and by then, we've filled up on drinks, apps, and the deliciously soft bread. Sooo when the subpar steak comes out, it's even less enticing to eat it. Also, there's always a lot of servers running around/being busy but no matter how I see it, they're always short-staffed. Our waiter comes by every 10+ minutes? Can't ever seem to get his/her attention, and this is pretty much on every occasion that we come. Interior is very country-feel, however there's peanut shells littered everywhere on the floor.
