This was a very cheery place to eat, happy staff, upbeat, waitresses, and waiters a nice atmosphere. All followed by a great meal. I bought the 14 ounce ribeye, which was delicious. It got a little dry as it got cooler in the plate. The baked potato was excellent and the green beans had a nice charcoal flavor to them. The butter and bread combination are nice. I thought my waitress was absolutely outstanding. She came to the table at least six times to make sure all is well. I added some crumble blue cheese "free" to my steak.. The only thing that was disappointing was the day did not have pepper served with a peppermill! I really like it that the maître G walks to the table with the butter and bread so you can immediately start eating. I did not try the blooming onion, but I will definitely do it next time. I found Texas roadhouse to be a notch above Longhorn steakhouse. If a more sedate experiences wanted, then Longhorn would be your bet. Much quieter. But if you like a medium level of activity and a sense of party with great food definitely is Texas roadhouse. So my grades on a scale of one to 10. Texas roadhouse 8.5 Longhorn steakhouse 7 Both steaks were excellent, but I have to give a nod to Texas roadhouse prime ribeye. My friend and I came in on a Wednesday around 4:30 PM and was surprised by how busy it was, the hostess greeted us warmly, and we were seated quickly. My friend and I both took advantage of the $11.99 before 5:30 special and ordered steak. I chose a loaded sweet potato and vegetables as my sides. Our waiter, Parker, was fantastic--super helpful and attentive, especially considering he had only been working there for three days! My friend didn't care for the flavor of the Italian dressing on her salad, and Parker immediately replaced it with another side dish without hesitation. His great attitude and excellent service really stood out. The food was hot, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I always enjoy coming here, and this visit was no exception. Tonight was a huge miss. I've been to this location before and it seems that things are in decline. Tonight I ordered my usual meal, an 8oz. Sirloin, Chili and Sweet Potato. Normally this is a great meal. Tonight however, a few things led to a less than stellar meal. The spoon i was given with my chillies was dirty and had a sticky residue on the handle and the bowl. I figure out how to use my forntoneat the chili, and waited for my main meal. When my steak arrived it was the smaller size (6oz.) instead of the 8 oz. As I mentioned I have ordered this meal many times so im familiar with what to expect. When placing my order I requested Medium Rare, but the steak came out medium well, another miss. When I asked the server about the steak she said that she could have another one put in for me, but I was on a time crunch and can't wait while the other members of my party eat and then they have to wait for me. I believe I recieved someone else's order, and they received mine. Over the years this poor location has begun to slip. Had the most wonderful experience here with my sister and her family! I attribute this in large part to the outstanding service from our waiter Chris. From the moment we were seated, he was very attentive and helpful. We never had an empty glass and he stopped by at all the right times to check if we needed anything. My sister and her husband are veterans and had coupons from Texas Roadhouse that offered veterans a free meal in honor of their service to the country. I love that this company does this!! First timer here. We ate at Texas Roadhouse for a friend's birthday and had to occupy two booths to accommodate our large group. It was popping for 5 pm on a Friday! Given that we had a large group and it was busy, it took a while for our waitress to get us our drinks, to order our food, and to receive our food. My husband and I shared a combo plate with a steak, shrimp, a side salad, and another side that I cannot remember. It all tasted fine. I was very much interested in the infamous rolls and sweet butter. Our steak was cooked medium rare as requested, but our friends' steaks at our table were overcooked. My neighbor and I stopped in here for lunch today around 1:00. It was busy yet we got seated right away. Our server, Lauryn, was a real sweetheart. Great personality and aimed to please I ordered the portobello mushroom chicken breast with a salad and mashed potatoes. Outstanding! Salad was fresh and crisp. We were given a $50 gift card as a gift from my employer when my mother passed away. It was a generous gift spoiled by a not so generous restaraunt. When we went to pay the bill, the kiosk asked for a PIN number. It was unreadable on the card. We asked for help from our server. He asked for help from a manager. They told us to call the toll free number on the card. It was just a number to call for a balance on the card. Just a note of caution... There is an small iPad on each table. No where does it tell you there is a service charge to use. We wanted to play a triva game so we tried to access it and it required i scan with my iPhone. Too bad for me because I left my iphone on the charger at home. This was a fantastic visit to the TR. Our server was awesome and everything was on point from the moment we sat down. Understanding that I had a few big guys with me and a lil one in tow as well, when I asked for extra napkins, more rolls, both types of butter, etc. . . . He completely understood and could see why. Their portions are large and they don't skimp on things. This was my first visit to this particular TR but I'd been to another and they were both pretty dang consistent across the two different locations, each one being in a different state from the other. My son and I ate at the Texas Roadhouse last night (1/20/25). The service was mediocre, but the food was questionable. My son's steak was not the correct oz for what he ordered, came out overcooked, and was not smoothered. The second one came out overcooked again and was again not smoothered. My steak was overcooked as well and the manager took it back, but left my sweet potatoe to eat. Again, the second one came out overcooked and the managers answer to these mistakes was to offer us desert and give me a free appetizer on our next visit. We use to really enjoy TR but the last few years we feel it's gone down hill. Today our food was decent. Mashed potatoes are always cold. Appetizers (fried pickles)are overly seasoned. Today our service was awful. Our waitress didn't check on us once. Ordered our food and didn't see her again, no refills on drinks. I never have high expectations for places like this but even my side salad had to be remade. Started out with the fried pickles and they were decent enough but very thin pickle chips. I ordered the 8oz sirloin (MR) topped with mushrooms and added shrimp with mashed potatoes. Steak was medium well and had to be drenched in steak sauce. Was glad I added the shrimp and mushrooms cause that's all I ate. Parter also had a sirloin (MR) but was also way overcooked. With a load baked potato. Now I know I should've said something but with the way it seems they just try to herd us all in and out as fast as possible I didn't feel like waiting for another steak. We don't go to Texas Roadhouse often, but our most recent experience was just okay. We will of course be back, it wasn't a full deal-breaker... but it was just okay. We were sat immediately with rolls but no napkins or utensils. When our server came by a while later, he got our drink orders in a major rush and didn't even give us time to order our appetizer. Later when he brought our drinks he got our full order, an appetizer which we requested to start, and 2 meals. We ordered fried pickles for our appetizer and a half rack of ribs meal and a New York strip meal. When the food runner brought out our pickles, we asked them for utensils/napkin which they grabbed for us. We hadn't even had time to eat our first pickle before our food was brought to our table. We wouldn't have ordered an appetizer if it was all going to arrive at the same time. The pickles were DELICIOUS as usual though. Meal #1: Half Rack of Ribs with loaded mashed potatoes and a cup of chili. The chili was lukewarm at best, taste was good... temp was not. The loaded mashed were WELL loaded. Easily the most loaded we have had. That was great. The ribs were also fall off the bone tender with a great taste. The server did a great job noticing that we didn't receive the full half rack or ribs and brought some more out to us. Meal #2: New York Strip cooked medium, with a loaded baked potato and applesauce. The steak was definitely cooked more medium-rare than regular medium... but I would prefer undercooked to overcooked so not a major deal. It was EXTREMELY fatty, even for a NY Strip. There was SO much fat it was so hard to cut the steak. The taste of the non-super-fatty bits was great though. The loaded potato was extra loaded and it was delicious, though it was seemingly unsalted on one half and over-salted on the other. The applesauce was a nice sweet treat at the end. Lastly, we wanted to place an order for some rolls to-go. Bc as we all know rolls and that yummy cinnamon butter are like 60% of the reason to go to Texas Roadhouse. Our server was very kind to grab us a bag of rolls as a refill, but we really wanted to pay for a full order of to go rolls. We didn't want to push the issue though. Also, it was just a roll refill with no butter, while the paid order would've come with the yummy cinnamon butter which we wanted to take home. Our fault for not holding our own, sure, but we did ask to pay for some specifically. Lastly, we received one single refill of one of our beverages during time we were dining, at our request. No one was paying attention or refilling as needed. All in all, it was okay. They were a little busy, but not crazy. We were dining for a late lunch/early dinner. My parents gave me a Gift Card for Father's Day, so I brought my wife here on a date tonight. It was only a Monday night, but we were told it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait for just the 2 of us to be seated. In reality it ended up being more than 40 minutes! Once seated, we were given non-fluffy rolls the first time around with very little butter. Our waiter offered better rolls when we asked for more butter and we were pleasantly surprised with fluffy fresh delicious hot rolls! On our way out after eating, we saw that other people must've had peanuts when waiting to be seated since we found the empty shells. For some reason we weren't ever offered them while we waited? Our ice waters took quite a while to get to us. Our appetizer was missing the bacon on the tater skins. My wife's salad was wonderful and her salmon was delicious! Her sweet potato took a long time to come and when it came the marshmallow was burnt (not pictured). Veggie dish was broccoli and carrots. The broccoli looked sad and so did the carrots. My pork chops were divine! Tender thick and juicy. My veggie dish eventually came (once I reminded them). It was broccoli only without carrots and really sad looking (even worse than pictured here). They eventually offered to gift us the appetizer and sides which was kind of them. We weren't impressed years ago when we tried this place with a gift card and even though we had some hope tonight would be better, we were again disappointed and so probably won't return for years until given another gift card. In summary (on a positive note): Pork chops, salmon, salad and rolls were delicious and they were good at keeping our water full. Fixed issues and/or discounted our meal as appropriate. I just returned from a week long trip for work and brought my son out to dinner. We had the absolute worst experience at the Riverdale Texas Roadhouse this evening. It started out with little things... I ordered an 8 oz salmon, plain sweet potato, side salad without croutons, and my son ordered a steak and his sides. The waitress asked how I wanted my salmon cooked? That was odd... I order the same thing every time I go anywhere. I've never been asked that. I said cooked through. She said so we'll done? I said not dried out please just normal. So she said I'll put not well done. I was thinking I'm very confused. I believe this was an honest mistake on her part... possibly not knowing about fish. Then the salad arrives room temperature... they replaced it with a new one not much colder approximately 10 minutes later but I wasn't going to complain a second time. Then my salmon came out raw... it flaked a little on the ends and it was completely raw and not even warm in the middle, I asked for it to be cooked completely. The front end manager eventually brought me a new salmon and sweet potato about 25 minutes later. When she brought it out I asked her for a box and if they would comp my salmon for this fiasco, since it was completely raw initially and took so long my son was already done eating. I was becoming super annoyed at this point. She had a very rude, smug look on her face and a nasty attitude, she said she needed to talk to her kitchen staff about that first. I thanked her. My son and I waited another 10 or more minutes and still haven't seen our waitress or the front end manager and a new waitress drops off the to go box. I asked her for the manager since I didn't know what was going on. A few minutes later the front end manager comes out to our table, stands at the end of it and doesn't say anything. I looked at her and said, "are you the manager"? I wanted to verify who she actually was since she did not properly introduce herself. And she said, yes I am. I replied, "what's going on with my bill? No one has come out to tell me anything." She was very rude and aggressively stated that she's already comped my entire bill already. She also snapped at me and asked if I had tried the new salmon that they brought out. I said, not yet at this point I'm not even hungry, it looks cooked, and everything took way too long and I wanted to pay for my sons meal. She made another off the wall comment and was disrespectful toward me and I let her have it right there in the restaurant. I let her know that her customer service is the shittiest I've experienced in a long time and I'll make sure to let my network know how they treat their customers. She laughed and said do whatever you have to do... she carried on with more comments as well. Shortly after, the kitchen manager came out because I insisted on paying for the one meal. He said it was their mistake and not to worry about it. He was incredibly professional and did a great job. Unfortunately, the front end customer facing manager is not management material and is the most disrespectful person put in the position of manager I've seen in the food industry in my entire life. I did make sure to take care of the waitress by tipping her the cost of my sons meal since they didn't charge me and I truly believe the initial situation was an honest mistake. They work very hard and I recognize that. However, because of how the female front end manager treated me, my family and I will never be back to the Riverdale, Utah location again. This is very unfortunate because I have never had a bad experience like that before at a Texas Roadhouse. Most organized take out I've seen! You already know the quality that comes with Texas Roadhouse. Add in top notch service and take out and this is a must go for takeout. Ordered dinner online and scheduled our pickup time. The parking lot was setup with a check in tent and numbered parking. We'r checked in and were assigned a space and our order arrived within a couple minutes. Love the call ahead seating option! Since we live far we always do this for the commute there and it helps save time for sure! Love that they always put us (whom have 4 little kids) in the back "kids room", it helps me feel more at ease about keeping my kids quiet and in line... I know it's kind of this unspoken thing, but we really actually appreciate it!! So thank you! The bread is delicious! The chili cheese fries are delicious! Really nice large steak fries! Our burger was OOOOKAAAAYY. The chicken fried steak tasted amazing but the crust was too thick. Other than that, the salads are good and the rest of our food is always pretty decent.
