My family and I have been longtime customers of Texas Roadhouse, driving all the way to the Tracy, location, even before the Modesto location was built. This has been my second time order to-go from the Turlock location and we were all extremely disappointed in our entire experience. My family of five spent well over a combined $150 only to receive cold sub par food and disappointing service for a birthday dinner. We arrived, went to the to go area, told them we were there, there was no one else there. The food sat on the back self for 30 mins before it was given to us. During this time two gentlemen walked in, waited for a few minutes, got their order and left. During our wait I witnessed multiple employees going to lunch/break, and taking bread and butter with them. A manager was on duty because a manger even came to check on employee out for a meal. Meanwhile they told us they were waiting on bread to be cooked. A man and his son came in to get just bread, they paid and waited. After 15 mins they asked were their bread was and the girl at the counter said it would be at least 20 more minutes. For just bread. While we were still waiting, we also witnessed multiple employees just walking around, hands empty, chatting with one another. An employee with an apron and gloves on came out of the back with his cell phone in his hands showing it to another woman employee, who also had gloves on. Then that same woman employee, who was wearing gloves stuck her hand down the back of her pants to pull her pants up. Mind you she still was wearing gloves that she did not remove when she was done. They both went back into the kitchen. We finally received our meals 30 mins after waiting. But still waiting on the bread. I looked through the order, we had two burgers, but they did not include the toppings. Onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickle. I check the menu, they were supposed to be include so I pointed it out to one of the girls that was just standing there who in all appearances looked stoned. Eyes heavily glazed over. She went to get it, took her a while then came back and said they had no tomatoes. She didn't bring the pickle so I sent her back for that. She then disappeared back to the kitchen for another 10 mins. Another employee came out with bread. The one helpful employee then went to the back to get us some for the order. Still waiting on the girl with the pickle. Finally she came back. The poor father and son were still there when we left. Once we got home to eat, the chicken dinner was missing the avocado. Some orders had tomatoes, the hamburgers did not, she said they were out. The road kill dinner was made with hamburger not chopped steak as per the menu. And nonetheless all the meals were cold except for you guessed it, the bread we were waiting on. I get it, it's busy. But guess what, that place, and every other Texas Roadhouse location I've ever been to is busy all the time. It's time to figure it out, hold the employees to higher cleanliness standards and make the orders correctly. They were ordered online, No misinterpretations there. We are very dissatisfied and disappointed with our experiences here. We were so excited for them to finally be opened to find out that they are no better than the Hometown Buffet that stood there before them. read more
