Today, Friday 10/19/18: Ordered a 20 oz. Ribeye, rare, to go for two of us to split; yeah, they don't specify that their meat is prime, choice or select grade, BUT of the 20 oz. Ribeye w/no bone, less than 30% of it was edible after we cut away mainly gristle-- we would have eaten the fat! That left about 6 ounces for the two of us to split.. Over the top with there social distancing. I was told to go sit in my car until they text me when they could seat me. Which isn't a bad idea. But they didn't explain the rules to me and it was raining they were very rude about telling me to go to my car. The young girl who greeted me was so rude. They actually have a sign in the booth asking you please do not stay more than one hour. Not very welcoming. I feel like I was going there to support my local business during this pandemic. But I will not go back and be treated so rude. With that being said our server was awesome. She did a great job. The food was good and I have been there several times. I like steak. I'm also lazy. This place really speaks to me on that level. I can come here, get the usual steak for me, have a surprisingly good side salad and chili and go back to what I was doing all in under forty minutes. The steak itself is always cooked to the way it's ordered and the servers are friendly. It's almost always someones birthday, so there is a lot of yelling and they BLAST country music, but there's nothing to really complain about outside of that. This is a chain restaurant so there are a lot of them to compare them to. Just like some of their other locations the food is good and the service was really good. Our server Jerard (we think that was his name) was Great! He was right on top of our service and always came back to make sure that our food and drinks were filled. Over all the food is what you would expect from this type of eating establishment. It's loud of course and they offer a full bar (a big plus for the area). We've been going to this place off and in since it opened. It used to be Great and was our favorite spot to eat. But it seems the quality has been slipping a LOT the last few months. The last few times we ate here the steaks were tough and didn't have a lot of flavor. So I thought I'd try a burger, NEVER AGAIN! I wanted Medium Well but it came out rare, actually raw in the middle so I asked if they could cook it a little longer. They actually made me a complete new one but unfortunately it wasn't cool much more than the first one. The rest of the party had already finished eating so I asked for a to go box and brought it home to give to the dog. I love this location. They have a very friendly staff and amazingly good food. I always get the same thing and I am never disappointed. We just went here for Father's Day yesterday (6/21/15) and it wan't busy at all. It was really nice. The food was delicious and, came out very quickly. Our waitress was perfect, she didn't neglect us and we hardly had to ask for a refill, she was on the ball. Also, she didn't check on us every second, either. Which, personally, I like. Great service and even better food! We came early, at about 5:30, so we were able to get the early special. We were seated quickly and were able to order fairly soon. The dinners came quickly, brought by our awesome server, and they were delicious! The 6 oz sirloin was so tender, and of course the rolls were incredible! We were checked on regularly by our servers and others to ensure our food was good and that we had all we needed. Never left a less than 5 star review in my life as I've spent lots of time in the restaurant business myself and am very understanding about most situations, but I came on a date here and had a weird experience. Our food was good and our server herself was very nice, but a different server brought out our food. I, a female, ordered a steak and my date ordered a chicken salad. When this girl brought our food out, she was so floored by a girl ordering a steak and a boy ordering a salad that she asked us if we had switched places in the time since our order had been taken and then proceeded to act very confused and surprised. This was my second time here. If I could give this restaurant a negative star rating I would. Besides the fact that they pack people in like cattle and that the noise level is at brain bleed level, the service was hands-down some of the worst I have ever experienced. Most of our order was wrong and had to be sent back or corrected. The waitress's comment that well we can't always get it right is a cop out. Most of my kids have been servers and they were horrified. This was a special birthday dinner for my son-in-law. However we could not finish our dinner fast enough. Take this with a grain of salt because it was busy both times (dine in with 4 people then two dishes and an appetizer for to-go) and I understand how busy it can get on the weekends. The dine in I felt a little pressured to keep getting drinks and they forgot my brothers order for the longest time and had to ask for the sauce to go with the blooming onion about three times (I felt like one of 'those' customers that you'd hear on sub reddits). I went to the St. George Texas Roadhouse on Monday, Feb. 22. We arrived shortly before 5. We were promptly seated. It took ten minutes for the waitress to show. I asked if we could order from the limited menu since we arrived before 5. I was told no by the waitress, her name was Makayla, because it was shortly after 5 and it was to hard to do with the computer. . I wanted an appetizer of Potato skins. They did not have any.. We ordered from the regular menu. At least 45 minutes later and two questions to the waitress where are food was, it finally arrived. The other tables that arrived after us had gotten there food way ahead of us. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich and a baked Sweet potato. The sweet potato was cold it did not even melt the soft butter that is put on it. I wanted to speak to the manager, but was told by the waitress she would speak to the manager and I was not given a chance to. She came back and said they took the cost of the sweet potato off the bill. I was a regular customer at Texas Roadhouse for a long time. Emphasis on the word was. Not a good experience! The waiter was missing in action for the most of the time. It wasn't busy but it took him forever to take our order. He was chatting with some one at the bar and was involved in that conversation. The steak was over cooked but barely warm. The baked potato was not warm enough to melt the cheese. Waiter took it back to heat up. But when he finally came back with it, the cheese was melted but had sat in kitchen so long that it was no longer hot. And we had finished our steaks. The waiter offer us another potato to "take home"? We intended to eat our meal in the restaurant, not go for take out! We asked for mushrooms on top of steak but they were over salted and barely warm. When the waiter gave us the check, he stood and waited for us to give him our credit card!!! We have never had a waiter do this before. He didn't refill our water glasses once, even though they were empty when he brought the bill. dessert? That even wan't offered. Food is decent if you can ever get some. This is the second time I've ordered takeout from this location and they are highly disorganized and you have to wait for at least 20 minutes before getting your food to go, and that's after giving them 15 to 20 minutes before even showing up. Also frustrating is the accuracy of the order, as there is usually something wrong with the order every time, despite several attempts to clarify the order on the phone. The service here is pretty reliable, perky hostess or host, up beat waiters and all. But I so HATE that awkward walk to the table, the hostess always stops with the same questions at the same point. I dunno if this patronizing pretend conversation annoys anyone else, but it grates on me every time. The steaks are pretty good but the sides are pretty sub par. I like veggies, so I always order them. I forget broccoli can be awful when prepared poorly. I guess it's another overly preprocessed joint, but it has a good steak! So I go back for that mostly.
