Was visiting Family in Ohio and we went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse one night. I am happy we did, as I had a great experience. I had been to one in California once before and I was left a little let down. But this location more than made up for it. The servers here were very nice, from the hostess to all the other employees as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor here is of course "Roadhouse" vibed, wood walls, neon signs, Texas star, cowboy core, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now to the food, they give you nice warm bread when you sit down, server with a cinnamon butter that makes them taste like cinnamon rolls, yum. I ended up ordering the 12 oz Fort Worth ribeye, salad with blue cheese of course and a baked potato, with sour cream and butter. One thing I don't understand is Texas Roadhouse does not have chives or green onion for the baked potato, I think this is a miss and one that they should add, a small change would make a huge improvement on the baked potato, just my opinion of course. I also got a tall cold Modelo with a lime, served super cold. They also give you free peanuts. There is also a really good early bird special if you dine before 5, they have some great deals full meals including steaks. I enjoyed the night, my meal, the staff and spending time with Family. We had such a great experience at Texas Roadhouse! Our servers, Trinity and Mazzyn, were both amazing. They had such great attitudes from the moment we sat down and were always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. One thing that really stood out to me and my group was that they even offered to take a group picture for us, which was really thoughtful and made the night even grater. They were super friendly and made real conversations with us instead of just taking our order and leaving. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience. Wow, what an unexpected experience. It was very good but did remind me a little bit of going to a theme park. Let me explain. We went to celebrate a birthday, it was a Wednesday evening in July. Didn't expect too much of a wait for dinner since it wasn't near a holiday and also mid-week. When we arrived the parking lot was overflowing- and I mean overflowing into the surrounding parking lots. We were given a wait time of 20-30 minutes (which in hindsight seemed naive to think that would be it). When we were texted to come to the hostess stand it was approximately 25 minutes- so far so good. However we waited another 20 minutes or so to be seated. I do say this place was a well oiled machine. Lots of help and all of them pleasant. The lines of waiting people were organized in a manageable way. Once we were seated we had hot rolls at the table immediately and our server brought asked for water quickly. We ordered an appetizer and salads plus steak. All the food came out quickly, servers stopped by periodically to see if we needed anything. Our steaks were cooked as ordered. This is where it was like a well organized theme park experience. Thursday, June 16, 2026: I will start by saying that we did walk in at 9:27 PM. Yes, it was late, but we were hungry, and wanted to catch the end of the Reds game. We sat at the bar and immediately we got attitude from bartender, Ashley. She was anything, but pleasant. Our usual Texas Roadhouse is Hamilton where we usually sit at the bar, and are always greeted with non-stop smiles from the hosts, to the bartenders, to the managers who are always checking to make sure people are satisfied. Ashley, who barely looked at us asked us what we would like to drink, and if we were also eating. It was very apparent that she was bothered by us sitting at her clean bar. We ordered a VooDoo Ranger draft, and I ordered my usual, a margarita with a shot of 1800, not a kicker. She told us she could not give us a drink and a shot, that it was against the rules. What? You can't order a full shot as a sidecar instead of a kicker?! Confused, I said, "That is always what I order at the Hamilton Texas Roadhouse". She said, "Well, you can't get that here in Middletown". She went on to say that I could only purchase a kicker for my margarita, not a full sho. Ok...tone set. Not a kind welcoming, not a smile, and not accommodating. This put a damper on the mood. Apparently, she was all cleaned up and ready to go. Had no more hospitality left for late night guests. Ordered our food and it came out fast and was absolutely delicious. Kudos to the cooks! Asked for pepper, didn't get it. She was changing the TV to a Texas/ Georgia college baseball game that we were watching. My husband asked, "You're getting rid of the Red's game"?! She said, "Yeah, someone made a request". Wow. Ok... we were watching that. No response. Continued to go about her closing duties. I saw a manager and almost approached her, but she never made eye contact with us, only doing end of night closing and taking inventory of alcohol in bar. Such a 180° experience! If you are looking for all smiles and fantastic customer service with attentive bartenders & managers who check with your satisfaction, this is NOT YOUR PLACE! Go to Hamilton, they know how to make you feel welcomed, know how to serve, and offer service with a smile each and every time! Extremely disappointed with this location's service. It was a really nice experience overall! Yes, we had a bit of a wait -- but there were benches and music playing, so we just relaxed and people-watched until our table was ready. Once seated, our waitress was friendly, efficient, and on top of everything. We shared the 12 oz ribeye, cooked perfectly, and she kindly brought an extra plate without us even having to ask. It came with two sides, and everything was plentiful and satisfying. The green beans had a slightly smoky flavor (almost like baked beans), which was different but still tasty. If I could give 3.5 stars I would. When this place hits it's incredible, but the service and food can be inconsistent. You're either going to get a three-star visit or a five-star visit and it just depends on the day. However, when it's good it's perfect! The mashed potatoes and gravy and baked potatoes are great, and I've never had a steak cooked incorrectly here. It's been a while since we have dined at Texas Roadhouse. This was our first time eating at this location and it is as advertised. We first tried Texas Roadhouse last month at Wisconsin. The servers are always courteous and attentive. The bread and butter are delicious - when it is out of the oven it won't last minutes in the table. My husband always order ribeye or the filet with sweet potatoes and Caesar salad. They always cook that spot on the temperature he has requested. The first time I ordered the balsamic chicken, it was delicious. The second time it felt like the chef accidentally poured all salt. I decided to give the dish another chance at this location. It was again too salty. Even the fries felt like the whole shaker spilled. I took out the cheese and it is still salty. We will definitely be back when we travel back to Ohio but I will not be ordering the balsamic chicken. read more

Had dinner here on 7/28/2021 and it was an amazing experience. I meant to post this review last night but the night got away from me. In any case, I enjoyed their Crispy chicken with added steak salad along with shrimps. My husbands meal was also good. He enjoyed their ribeye with mash potatoes and broccoli. Keep in mind I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but I will say I do love the rolls and butter here. I could almost just eat those and be happy. I would be fat and unhealthy, but they are so yummy. Unless you get here real early or show up at a weird lucky time, this place is normally packed. So plan to wait for 15-45 minutes for a table. Or call ahead and hope that helps. Now for the food, I haven't had a bad meal here or at any Texas Roadhouse that I have been to. I normally order my steak Medium Rare and my burgers medium. The drinks are always good and they keep most of the margaritas on tap. I have no issues at all coming here for a lunch or dinner, just come hungry as you get lots of food. I had a coupon for a free app. The waitress asked if my coupon was expired. I was thrown off by this question. I showed the coupon and she seemed to take the code. She did not take the code because the app was still apart of my final bill. I ordered a drink and it was extremely sweet. Also, one of my favorite aspects of Texas Roadhouse are the yeast rolls. We went here before we went to see a movie and the food was great as always, the service was also great, and the fact you can check in online was great. Food: I ordered the rib and bbq chicken combo with a salad (italian dressing) and sweet potatoe. The ribs were good but they ended up tasting better the day after. The bbq chicken exceeded expectations and was juicy and flavorful. The sweet potatoe was good and the salad was good. She ordered the country fried steak (like last time) and loved it. She also got the corn which she said was amazing and the seasoned rice which she liked alot. I also liked the rice surprisingly enough. We also ordered the combo appetizer which included rattlesnake bites, potatoe skins, and boneless chicken. All three were all good but I wish we could have tried them fresh; see service for why they werent. Service: I thought the service was great. We checked in online but forgot to hit "here" since it was our first time using it and finding this location left me baffled in rush hour. Anyways, we were still seated right away even though they were packed. Our waiter was a younger guy and was attentive based on how busy they were. Complaint?
