Just sort of average. Nice people but the food could be a bit better. A decent option if you're there already.

Holy Cow...these guys are consistent, never dry or pasty chicken, always, moist and juicy! Beef ribs are great...tender tug off the bone, not tough and stringy as I've had at other places. Baby Back Ribs - love it! Holy Rolls - the best! Chili/Cornbread - love it! Stand out sides - Mac n Cheese and Greens Q'Sauce - you don't need because everything has good spokey flavor to it, but it's really good and you can put that S@$# on anything. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Servers are great with positive vibes...Evan is awesome! All around for me; Holy Cow best BBQ spot in LA!

My…read moredad hadn't been here so it was a perfect time to give the ribs, brisket and tri-tip a try again. We got the 4 bbq deal that comes with 2 sides. Get the coupon online for $10 off! Ribs were the tastiest. Not overdone and slathered with their signature BBQ sauce. While I'm a dry rub person, the sauce was sugary but ok. The brisket was second and then the tri-tip was alright. Overall the beans and slaw sides and the garlic rolls were probably better than the tri-tip and the portions were so tiny for what you pay. So it is these days.... Though I do recall it feeling the same back on the day when I first tried out HC when they opened. They have a variety of brews on tap and happy hour not for the bbq but the sandwiches if you wanna not break the bank. Lots of salads and sandwich options if you wanted to not focus so much on the BBQ. Dining inside is ok. For a Friday night there weren't many people helping out in the front of house. Staff were friendly and it's got a chill vibe; they've got 2 TVs if you wanted to catch a game. Parking is the free valet kind since the shopping center is packed with eateries with little parking. From someone who's had BBQ from other parts of the country... not sure HC is a must have. But it's not a bad option on the west side that doesn't have much BBQ to write home about.

It was a good way to try a little bit of everything and the portions were just right. I left feeling full enough to be satisfied but not like I ate too much. I also really appreciated how the waiters brought out the food a few at a time so we could eat at our own pace. Our server was very kind and accommodating to us and the guests around us, which made for a very comfortable atmosphere. I genuinely don't have any pictures for this review because it looked so good that I couldn't wait to eat. Overall 10/10, will dine here again!

Surrounded by many competitors and many great Asian restaurants and Japanese novelty shops. Parking can be a challenge. There are limited metered parking spots on the streets and many paid parking garages nearby which I would recommend. Parking on residential streets is at your risk only as they have complex rules about when the parking is allowed and when it requires a resident permit. You may get a ticket worth several trips to paid parking garages :D Venue 4 stars: Medium-sized facility with indoor seating. Japanese style smokeless grilles at the table. You cook your own food. They take reservation on Open Table which I highly recommend. Service 5 stars: Staff were friendly, attentive, and super helpful. Food and Drinks 5 stars: Japanese-inspired food with some Korean influence as well. Excellent, high quality meat and vegetables and good selection of beer on tap and bottle, sake, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. They offer AYCE (All You Can Eat), packages and à la carte. We went with à la carte. We had the Spicy Beef Soup, the Garlic Fried Rice which comes in a hot pot and is mixed at your table, the Kimchi Cold Tofu, the Yakiniku-style Cabbage Salad, the Ikura Tamagoyaki (Japanese Omelet appetizer with Salmon Eggs on top), the Angus Trip Tip, the Prime Skirt, the Prime Hanger Steak and the Chicken Thigh. All were excellent and highly recommended.

I don't eat barbecue often but when I do, this is a great place to have a meal. There is a large free parking lot attached on the side so parking is really easy. Our server was very polite and as usual everything that we ordered came out very fast. For this visit, we started with the Guacamole, which is a nice start and something I order often and everywhere. For my meal, I chose the Baby Back Ribs and thought they were great. They were cooked perfectly and had a ton of meat on them. Every bit of it was delicious and I would recommend to anyone.

I've visited other Wood Ranch locations before, but this one stood out for how clean, polished, and well-maintained everything felt. We ordered the BBQ combo with tri-tip and brisket, plus the loaded potatoes and mac & cheese - all of it was seriously good. The meats were flavorful and tender, and the sides delivered. Oreo Coonue Crunch - this dessert disappeared in seconds :) The Hendrick's Magnificent Martini may have just become my new favorite cocktail: Hendrick's gin, St-Germain, sauvignon blanc, and lemon. Dangerously good.

The restaurant is located at the Beverly Center and does not validate parking. The good news is that parking is relatively affordable at $1 per hour. Since I don't eat meat or chicken, I checked the menu online beforehand and found several options that looked appealing. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were given a completely different menu. When I asked about it, our server, Lindsey, explained that the menu I had seen online isn't available until after 3 p.m. That was disappointing since I had already planned my meal. We started with the biscuits. They had a strong smoky flavor that honestly made me think they were baked with pork fat or in an oven used for barbecue. Lindsey assured me they weren't made with any meat fats, but the smoky flavor was definitely noticeable. I ordered the salmon with microgreens and a side of mac and cheese. My partner ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns, and we both enjoyed the mint mocktails--they were refreshing and one of the highlights of the meal. The salmon was cooked well and I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese, however, was a huge letdown. It arrived in a cute little cast-iron skillet on a butcher block, so the presentation was great, but the taste didn't match the appearance. It reminded me of boxed mac and cheese made with powdered cheese, topped with Parmesan just to create a crust. It was runny, lacked richness, and there wasn't even a hint of that satisfying cheese pull. Unfortunately, there were service issues as well. My partner specifically ordered his eggs over hard, but they weren't prepared that way. His hash browns never arrived at the table, and on the drive home he realized we had been charged for them. He intended to mention it before leaving but simply forgot. The biggest positive is the restaurant itself. It's beautiful, stylish, and has a great ambiance. Beyond that, though, I found the food to be average for the price. Even by Los Angeles standards, $42 for chicken and waffles feels excessive. Overall, Yardbird looks better than it tastes. While there were a few bright spots, the inconsistent service, menu confusion, and underwhelming food don't justify the price. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.
