Not self service which was strange for us because in the valley all of ours are self services. Variety is limited on toppings and no seating The girls assisting were friendly

    Lavender milk tea, medium

I hadn't known there is a boba shop at Montclair Village, but actually this Tutti Frutti location, although it still offers frozen yogurt, it primarily sells boba now and offers many different flavors. There is a milk tea, fruit tea, and plain tea menu on the TV screen on the wall, and then additional signature tea options that include combinations of various fruity teas and toppings on the physical menus at the counter. The signature teas are large size by default and are pricier. I decided to get a lavender milk tea, medium (22 oz) with boba - you have to ask if you want to modify sweetness and ice, since this isn't mentioned on the menus. The milk tea and boba was alright and definitely quite sweet at its default sweetness level, but there was not enough lavender flavor unfortunately. I also tried some of my partner's PG-13 (peach guava) which I thought was better because you can taste more of the fruit flavors and it came with both the standard boba and crystal boba. You can pay with cash, Venmo, PayPal, or credit card (they ask for $0.50 on top for credit card payments if you're buying something under $5). The person serving us tried to get us to pay cash first, then after that, Venmo, but the Venmo payment was unable to go through and he said they'd been having some issues with Venmo recently. Eventually we ended up doing credit card. Overall, I appreciate the large amount of menu items, but the drinks are pretty pricey. I didn't see how much the froyo was per ounce.

Mango yogurt, sour worms and m&ms

This was my first time going there. With different things to possibly to try I asked for a sample of two flavors I'd try to get and I was told "we only give one sample". How am I suppose to know what I want or what the taste is like if I'm limited to only one sample? Over all, the yogurt tasted good but the quality of service was not there.

    CoCo Mango boba
    Leah V.

Boba and froyo place in the cute town of Montclair. I ordered the CoCo Mango signature tea, made with Mango, Coconut milk tea, boba, and grass jelly. The menu said the CoCo Mango tastes like a Creamsicle and they were right!! It delivered on that creamy orange nostalgic creamsicle flavor. It felt like a childhood treat in boba form. The boba pearls were nice, but the grass jelly pieces were very large and a bit much for me. I'll pass on the grass jelly next time around. During covid, they're limiting the number of customers inside the shop to ensure social distancing. Employees manage the fro-yo machines for you to minimize contact and interactions.

"Matcha" Milk Tea w/Boba & Lychee Jelly - highly sus
    E R.

"Matcha" Milk Tea w/Boba & Lychee Jelly - highly sus, not even any kind of shade of green. Told "we don't use artificial colors in our matcha," little do you know matcha based on quality is always some shade of green. The cheap stuff is a dark muddled green while the high quality stuff is a vibrant sea foam green and not as acidic in taste. Tsk tsk....Ya, I don't think I'll be coming back. Peace out, the service is tremendously lacking (25+mins for 3 drinks- I think not!) , disorganized and falsely claiming this is matcha lol. Taking my business elsewhere!

    a variety of desserts

My heart literally flutters when I drive by this place omg; I would give it 4.5/5 Stars because they could fix the AC or have a fan (it's always so hot). But they have the best flavors, the best toppings, and the best service out of anywhere for froyo

Sea salt caramel milk tea with grass jelly! Solid drink flavor and excellent service.
    Noelle L.

I ordered the sea salt caramel milk tea w grass jelly. Solid flavor. It's not anything super fancy, but hits the spot if you have a boba craving. They do have some neat newer yogurt flavors like brown sugar, which I'll definitely come back to try. The gentleman that helped me was really sweet. You can tell that they are just happy to be open during COVID-19 and really appreciate your patronage. They have taken precautions, for example the yogurt is not self-serve but they serve it for you, and they ask that you wait outside for your drink order and they bring it to you. I'd say food-wise it's only three stars, but for the kind service I'd give it four-stars.

    I had two zip

This place is Terrible the drinks are eight dollars but they don't give you that much fruits , you can't see Boba or mango Jelly in your drink,, I am not goi g back here anymore , .

Good froyo but poor seating options. If one of the 4 bars tools are taken, you are out of luck. This is to-go froyo.

Crunchy toasty exterior but chewy with fillings of either crab or tuna - these sandwiches are just the right size and ... ah to die for! Service was friendly and as attentive as expected mid-day. The ambiance is that of retro feel-good cheerful lemon yellow grandma vibe, but it's got that pop groovy feel as well. Sundaes&milkshakes&grilled sandwiches&fries!! Came in on a Sunday night with a big group. The employee would forget which flavors we wanted and rudely asked for all of us (who already got our ice cream) to leave the space as it was getting too crowded. Fair ask, yes. The way it was delivered? Just rudely said with a bad tone too. I also got charged for my ice cream when one of my friends had already paid for mine in front of me. I went to have it reversed, and he was saying how my friend paid for 6 singles and I got a junior size then there was nothing to be reversed. If anything we paid twice and for the wrong size. I get that it may have been confusing especially with big groups and long lines but it could have been handled more professionally.

The only issue is there's no clear menu posted online, so we walked in completely blind. Their website shows a long list of flavors but not what they actually have that day, so it felt like a guessing game. The line moved really slow because there was only one employee handling everything. She was taking orders, giving samples, answering questions, and ringing people up all at once. She was super friendly and doing her best, but it felt like a lot for one person during a rush and the shop could definitely use more help. The space is really small and tight so it was hard to even see the flavors until we got close to the front. When we finally got up there, a lot of the tubs were already empty which was confusing since most ice cream shops restock. Some flavors I wanted weren't available anymore, and if they're out it would make more sense to just remove them from display. The dirty containers didn't make sense to display. I sampled the jasmine green tea and knew right away I wanted it. It was creamy with a smooth tea flavor that wasn't overpowering. I got a small with half jasmine green tea and half avocado. The avocado was surprisingly really good, super creamy and tasted like a fresh avocado smoothie. Both flavors weren't overly sweet which I liked. My husband wanted cookies and cream but it was sold out so he got chocolate chip instead, which was solid and creamy with good texture. Overall the ice cream itself was good, not the best I've had but definitely not bad. I like that the flavors lean more natural and not overly sweet. I could see myself coming back if I'm in the area, but the experience would be a lot better with faster service and more consistency with what's actually available.
