Amazing food! Try their pad Thai and green curry! Emerald Curry. Come here with your family and friends!

The only reason that this place is getting decent reviews is because there are almost no Thai places in St Petersburg and Tampa. As a result, many of the customers probably do not know what actual Thai food is. For example, the Pad Thai was brought out immediately after we ordered it. This is because they had a batch of precooked noodles that they then mixed with a watery sauce. The taste was completely off. Then, there was their Chicken Satay. Satay is supposed to be grilled, skewered meat. Their version was basically pieces of breaded and fried chicken on skewers. Though the food is edible, it is not Thai food. There are also a couple of other things to mention that may annoy some people. This place is only open air seating and as result there is no air conditioning. It was very hot on the day we went, but we endured it. The other thing is that all their food is served on paper plates with plastic utensils - not very impressive if one is looking for a nice date place.

Outside dinning with a mess of tables, chairs with fans and junk. The fresh rolls were lacking noodles and had one shrimp with lettuce and carrots. Service was good

Interesting experience here. The food was ok. Nothing exceptional but not bad, just average. Food was served in paper disposable plates and containers what was kind of weird but not a big a deal, specially in times of COVID. The restroom was a trip lol. I think because of covid the inside of the restaurant is closed so you gotta go around the back and enter on the back door in order to use the bathroom. Was weird but I guess in times of covid we gotta take anything as normal lol

Food was amazing. Served by the sweetest Thai grandmother named Wendy, she reminded me of my own korean grandmother. Perfect lil secret getaway when the other restaurants are 45+ min waits...no waiting, great service & delicious food! I'll be back!

When we arrived we were promptly greeted and advised to sit at a table near the kitchen. The seating area is a mess. Our table was up against another table and it just felt super crammed. It almost looks like they bought a ton of furniture from an estate sale or cheap somewhere and didn't have anywhere to store it so they stored all the pieces wherever they fit. It took a little while to order but the food came out pretty quick. Everything is served in boats or on paper plates. We started with the spring rolls and a few sushi rolls. The spring rolls were tasty. The Sushi was falling apart when I tried to pick it up. It wasn't that it was overstuffed or anything. It was the way it was rolled. I love sushi but probably would not order sushi here again. The Chicken Pad Thai was bland. I wasn't very impressed. I ordered it medium and there was no spice to it whatsoever. The chicken was okay - fresh and easy to eat. My sister got Tofu Pad Thai. The tofu was tasty and I actually preferred it over the chicken. My mom got the Cashew Nut Chicken. Meal wise, this had the most flavor. The rice was a little over cooked but was fine for the time being. Don't park in front of the building. There are signs up that it is $20 to park. While we did not confirm, I assume it is the neighboring business or the bar next door that is "charging". There are a few spots to the left of the building if you are facing it and parking labeled for the business in the back. There is a restroom. It's difficult to locate. Ask for someone to explain it to you if need be. It appears to be shared with the bar next door and was not clean when we were there. We came here mostly because it was a holiday and it was the only thing that was still open. On any other day, there are other places I would prefer but it was okay for a last minute meal.

Just another local coming to say what you might have already heard. This place has really gone downhill. I use to be friends and eat here all the time but ever since covid and the switched to outdoor picnic tables it's barely a restaurant. And the food, it all taste like it's jut been sitting in a fridge or freezer waiting to go. My mango sticky rice had rice so hard I could barely separate it and it was flat? Check the pic. Also the suchi rice falls apart and the fish taste old. Please. I don't like bad mouthing, but don't go to this place for nostalgia or because it's near the Boardwalk. Look around at other places.... you will do alot better!! I feel bad for the sweet lady that I usually see there but she's about the only nice thing.

We visited here early June 2021 and we were very impressed with their pandemic safety measures--especially for Florida. Flying down from Indiana, most of Florida was feeling like the Wild West. The staff at Thai-Am 2 were all wearing masks and gloves. We were seated in a covered lanai-type of area where they set up industrial fans to cirulate the air. There was even large sheets of clear plastic between the booth seating. There was a sign at the entrance encouraging mask wearing from the customers and a hand sanitizer dispenser next to it. We felt safer here than at other restaurants in Mad Beach. Food was good, not great. However, we were really happy to have Thai food instead of traditional American far, so we were happy to have it. I ordered Massaman curry. It was a different recipe than I'm used to here in Indianapolis. Not that that is bad. It's just different. The sauce base was brown and the flavor wasn't as robust as I anticipated it to be. My husband's pad thai was really good. He was happy they didn't go crazy with the fish sauce. Our daughter was happy with her fresh roll, as she wasn't very hungry to begin with. So this was light and healthy on her stomach. Our son was also pleased with his dynamite roll, which he ordered from the sushi menu. I believe it contained salmon and yellow tail tuna, and came drizzled with their dynamite sauce.

    Pad Thai & Seafood curry

My boyfriend and I ordered seafood Pad thai and seafood curry. It was delicious!! Chef made us extra pad Thai to take home, leaving us left overs for the rest of the day. Server was so sweet and nice. Definitely will be coming here again.

Absolutely delicious! Service and food where great. Super friendly and fast. Can't wait to go back and try more. My daughter had sushi and said it was great. We also had chicken fried rice and it was the best I ever had! We had pad tai with chicken and so good! Highly recommend!

    Soy sauce noodles

The service was fine. The food was the problem. I ordered crab rangoons and soy sauce noodles. Both a major disappointment. The crab rangoons tasted like nothing but old grease. Each rangoon was filled with oil and grease and tasted sour and spoiled. On top of that the sweet and sour sauce given with the rangoons was beige and had the most awful sourness and spoiled taste to it. Now getting into the soy sauce noodles. The noodles themself were fine. The sauce however was so bland and adding soy sauce didn't even help bring out any flavor. The worst part was the chicken. The chicken looked fine but upon smelling it, it smelled of dirty diapers and rotten meat. Major disappointment and would never recommend to anyone or ever go back.

I am sad to say that after being a customer here for the past, I don't know, decade?, I am officially done with this place. The past couple years I've ordered mostly delivery, which was nice and convenient, but the food went from being consistent to sort of a hit or miss the past few times. Tonight I placed an order for 2 sushi rolls, a seafood salad and pad Thai. Came to $82 dollars and tipped the delivery driver 20% for driving .5 miles. Both of the sushi rolls were RANCID with a thick layer of stinky, rotten, sour smelling oil at the bottom of the takeout box. I've never seen or smelled anything like it in my life. I decided to call just to let them know that something was dangerously off with both rolls and that they were completely inedible, figuring they'd at LEAST apologize, and the guy just said oh, I will tell the kitchen about it and hung up. Honestly, It kills me to even write this because I am the LAST person to ever outwardly say something negative about a business, especially one that I loved for years, but things have totally changed here and it is not good.

    Covered outdoor seating.

We come to this place every time we stay in the area. Love it. I have the seafood curry and it is always great! Super-friendly people and they even have a kids menu. Give them a try!!

I narrowed down nearby options on my trusty Yelp app and we drove over to the strip mall that 3D Sushi is located in (although it has a different name now out front so there are two pages for this location). At any rate, the place was hopping on a Saturday night in December! It took a minute to be seated after we walked in, but once we sat down, we had plenty of attention. He went light enjoying his chicken noodle soup and I had miso soup; a very generous portion of veggie tempura; the cucumber wrapped "Ruby" sushi with a watermelon boba that is so incredibly delish! We even ended the evening with mango sticky rice -- even if it's not in season, it's a guest favorite and Staff makes sure to have the mangoes on hand. It was empty, but people took food to go. We had the place to ourself. Nice and chill. We had two males assist us. One was new and shadowing. They were very nice and helpful. We went with the pad thai chicken and added shrimp. $3 more for shrimp for 5 of them. We asked for sweet and extra saucy and limes. Our dish was so big for both of us and it came out just perfect. Booking a reservation online was so easy, and it didn't end up being a busy evening, as it was a Tuesday night, so we could have easily walked in, as well. The parking was easy and upon driving up, I instantly remembered that this location used to be Roux, a great New Orleans inspired restaurant where I used to frequent for brunch. The same tiled ceiling is still in placed but the remaining features of the restaurant have all changed. The space is open and inviting, and the bar at the entrance has been updated. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the menu is lengthy with plenty of great options. I ordered the fried tofu for our starter, and it was perfectly cooked and the dipping sauce was delicious! The tofu was as so plentiful that I ended up taking half the starter home. They definitely give you plenty! For our entrees, I ordered Panang Curry with steamed tofu and my friend ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice. Both dishes came out hot and smelled lovely, and the taste was out of this world! I ordered medium and it was the perfect spice level, and the curry was so flavorful and delicious! It may even be the best Panang Curry I've had in Tampa!
