I literally counted and ate "2"shrimps, 6 pieces of chicken and 5 pieces of meat on a combination fried rice plate. I have visited this place two times for lunch. It is like mom and pop shop. They do speak English. The lunch price is very affordable but the place cannot replace my tom yum soup noodle served at Thai Cafe in Irvine. However, this place is clean and speak is decent. read more

I've eaten at most of the Thai restaurants in the area. This place has pretty good food. Professionalism...not so much. Placed an order online for pick up. My son went to pick up the food, I get a call from a lady there "Hello, your order.....oh.." and hangs up on me. Realizing someone was standing in front of her to pick up my order, she hangs up on me without even saying anything else. It was close to closing time and it appeared she was in a hurry to close up. When I'm getting Thai food for the family, I prefer President Thai on Whittier Blvd. But Aree makes decent food and has two advantages. One, they deliver. And two, they have a very nice lunch special that's an excellent value. read more

Worst Thai food ever. 10.99 for Kung Pao with nothing but vegetables and peanuts. The Tom Yum shrimp soup had 3 shrimps and zero taste. The pad Thai had no protein, nuts and was flavorless. We came here for dinner and we were the only ones here. I'm surprised as the food is pretty good. Hubby and I were so hungry that we ordered like 5 plates but we also wanted to have left overs for the following day. The food is pretty good really good flavor and being that we were the only ones there our service was pretty good as well. I've normally ordered from Siam Buathong because it's closer to my house but this place has a $15 minimum while theirs is $20, so I've started ordering from here much more often! Very affordable and good Thai food! Spot looks like poop from the outside, but really cool inside. They serve both Thai and Chinese food. Waitress there is super nice and they have the best orange chicken I have ever tried (in Whittier ... Lol). Soup is very delish also... This luchador gives it two thumbs up! read more

I love Thai food, especially Pad Thai. Most restaurant can do a Pad Thai fairly well, because it is a common dish. I ordered one from Aree.. but what could be wrong?? Yes, the noodle, their noodle tasted like some cheap plastic noodle... But they had used fresh ingredients, except the Pad Thai noodle, it tasted so bad to the point is unforgettable.. maybe they should consider to change with another brand of dry noodle.. Beside the Pad Thai, other dishes are okay. I ordered their curry chicken (ok), pad thai(will never order again..), spring roll (hmmm, so so), eggplant with pork (good)... overall is a barely okay.. Decided to try this place out because they offered delivery. I've ate Thai food plenty of times and I always have the same dish, pad see ew, when I received my order I expected the usual noodles. I'm not sure if the noodles were bad or what, but they had a weird texture and tasted bad, same with the chicken. The whole dish was bad, the flavor, the presentation, etc. Only good thing is that they deliver. But after this experience I'd rather go with pizza. read more

Wow, people actually like this establishment! Sure fooled me. I had a patient in Whittier and finally had some time to grab some lunch. I came across Aree, ordered a lunch special, it came with some cabbage soup which was actually good, an extremely small salad ( 3 fork helping ), and was looking forward to a peppered - garlic beef and thai bbq'ed chicken. It took 20 min, place was empty, and worst of all I was served a very old, salty dried chicken. Plus the beef was also old salty and plain bad. Iced thai tea was good, and was served another for free ( to make up for their food I guess). having been to many other Thai restaurants, I was used to fresh food and great service. Go elsewhere if you want quality food and great service cause you will not get it here. Never ever again! read more

Sadly the quality and value have dropped. The Lunch Special price has gone up a $1.00 or so, they have taken away the small salad that comes with the lunch special and the food quality itself has also lessened. Today I got the orange chicken and I would say a good 85% of it was breading, I was lucky to get maybe 3 full bites of chicken out of my whole plate. It tasted over cooked and sad. I also got some mango sticky rice to go for later and the rice was over cooked. The food doesn't have the same taste it used to last year. The service has slow down a lot more as well. Its almost impossible to stop by for lunch because it will take more than an hour to get your order in, eat your food and pay your bill. I hope they are just in a slump and get things back on track; there are so little places in this area that is good food. I can understand raising the lunch special price, I get it you have inflation to deal with, but to take away our salad too, that's just bad business. read more

This is probably my favorite Thai Food Restaurant. I love that it is in Whittier so I don't have to drive far away if I am craving Thai Food. The employees are very respectful and courteous. I have tried the Thai noodles, soups and chow mein w seafood a long w fried rice and it is all very delicious and flavorful. To be honest I did not expect much but I was very disappointed with the overall food. I ordered soup, pad thai, and fried rice. The soup was good until I ended up getting a stale piece of chicken. I thought maybe it was one of the seasoning but it was the chicken. Overall the meat in the pad thai and rice was dry and not good at all. Maybe I ordered too late in the night but not good. I tried there online service eat24hours.com and they did a great job in getting my order in and working with the restaurant. This is probably the not good Thai food I ever been too. Quality and value is expensive. I order a tofu pa-nang curry and there is only 8 piece of tofu and panang sauce. There isnt any vegetable on the curry. Compare to other Thai food I been to this is probably the worst food quality I even been to. read more
