Excellent flavor to the food. Pad Thai wasn't too sweet, the fried rice was well seasoned, the meats were tender. Service during pandemic times is as expected. One large menu board at the front of store to share to minimize hand contact. Served in plastic to-go containers which in some ways is more efficient, but a bit more difficult to eat out of. This restaurant use to be great. But the quality of the food and cleanliness of the restaurant has went downhill. While we were eating there was a giant cockroach that flew onto our table... We literally got up and ran out of the restaurant. I just love these little down to earth, casual, and inconspicuous family owned and run restaurants that serve very good food. My girlfriend lives in the area, been here before, and vouched very positively for the quality of the food and service. Great!......I'd never been here, and have always liked good Thai food, so decided to give it a shot. Located in a neighborhood shopping center, there is plenty of parking. Upon walking in, I was very impressed at how nice, warming, and charming the place is. We were immediately greeted by a nice Thai lady who invited us to sit anywhere we liked.....we came for an early dinner so the place was not busy, which meant we could enjoy our dinner in peace and quiet. They have an nice and extensive menu that offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.....nice. Taking a quick look through the menu, we found it difficult to decide on what to order....everything sounded so good, but we decided on the Thai Egg Rolls (vegetarian) served with a side of sweet and sour sauce, Tom Yum Kai (spicy and sour chicken lemongrass soup), Yellow Curry with Chicken, and the Pad Wood Sen (stir fried glass noodles) with Chicken. My only little complaint is that the chicken meat in the curry and noodle dish was a bit dry.....if they can just make it more tender, the dishes would be just perfect. The egg rolls were not oily and delicious.....we ordered the tom yum soup medium spicy and it came out very nice.....my girlfriend said it was slightly salty, but I thought it was fine.....the yellow curry was very good with perfect consistency of curry, fresh ingredients, and so full of wonderful flavor.......and the noodles, also perfectly cooked, yummy, and not salty at all. Overall, a very good dining experience here.....very good food, good and friendly service, and the owner even came out of the kitchen to check on and chat with guests to see how their food was. Was visiting my uncle nearby and yelped this place! Plenty of parking, great service, and food came out quick! I love the decor on the walls, so gorgeous! The waitress was very nice, kept refilling our water, and checked in a lot! We got the tom yum soup, chicken skewers, pad Thai, papaya salad, and crab fried rice! Typically I'm picky with Thai food, things could be really salty or too sweet. This place has really good flavor!! Not too sweet and not too salty. Dine in is back! I have been going here for years for the lunch special and have only dined in a handful of times. During the pandemic, everything was to go and I wasn't sure when we could sit in the restaurant again. Eggplant basil chicken is my go to! Pad thai and crying tiger were great as well. read more

Their lunch deals (from Monday to Friday until 3pm) are amazing! Where else are you going to find an entree, with salad, soup and choice of drink (Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Coffee or Iced Tea) for $8.95 to $10.95? I got #28 Crying Tiger (marinated grilled beef in special aromatic thai spices, served on top of lettuce and spicy lime sauce on the side) and it was amazing. I've never had anything like this before at other thai restaurants that I've been to, so I was pleasantly surprised. Side note: there is a lot of lettuce in this dish so if you don't want a salad, you should probably order something else. They were pretty busy during lunch time, so we got our waters towards the end of our meal but the free drink that comes with the meal makes up for that. read more

This is a small family owned business. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. We ordered 6 dishes to share with a large group and they were all amazing. The only dish we thought wasn't our favorite was Pad Thai. Yes you will be served on paper plates with plastic utensils but ignore it because the food is delicious. read more

This place was so bad I thought I was being Punked! We sat down and were provided drinks in to-go cups with plastic lids. The fresh roll was a MESS. It looked like a 2 year old put it together. Tons of shredded lettuce and little else. All of the food was presented on PAPER PLATES. I ordered Pad Thai. The best way to describe it would be Chef Boyardee. It tasted like it came from a can. Hungry after moved and remember of Thai restaurant around the corner.. we used to like it and remember taste good, but what a disappointment. Order beef and oyster sauce.... really cabbage??? I never had beef with oyster sauce have cabbage inside, I don't know for stuffing to look fuller or suppose to be part of the veggies. Thai corner is hands down my favorite Thai food in OC! I grew up in lake forest and this was always my go to spot. The restaurant staff are the nicest people, and especially now they're so appreciative of our business. They prepare the food amazing every time and so quickly. I live in Irvine now and I still drive down just to get Thai food from them. Their Tom ka gai soup is my favorite. The broth is so flavorful and yummy. I could honestly eat that forever and that alone can be filling. Other faves are the pad Thai and any of their curries. I always get the chicken green curry on top of their white rice and it's amazing. If you live in lake forest or surrounding areas I highly recommend Thai corner! They don't disappoint! read more

Stay away! There is a reason they were empty at dinner time on Friday. 1. Sit down prices for take out quality dining experience. They served us in paper plates and styrofoam/plastic containers. Plastic forks and spoons. Seriously??!! For a sit down?! $57 before tip for 2 people (1 tea drink only). 2. Food was mediocre at best. Ordered Wanton soup, Pad Woon Sen, and an Eggplant dish. a) The Pad Woon Sen was the most tasteless Thai dish I've ever had. Very bland, no flavor. How is that even possible? b) The eggplant dish was supposed to be spicy (level 4). It was not at all. Zero spice! Instead, they included some hot/sour sauce on the side that my husband was supposed to mix with it to make it spicy. By the time it got to level 4, he had to add so much sauce that it made the dish very sour. That was gross. c) the wanton soup was tasty-ish but overcooked and Oh My God SALTY!!!!! There were noodle flakes all over the thing from being over cooked, the meat was dry and overcooked, and the soup was so salty, it was almost inedible! It felt like it had been cooking/sitting in the pot all day. 3. I asked for water with no ice, they brought a small styrofoam cup with warm water in it. Disgusting. 4. Service was really nice but the lady started cleaning while we were still eating. The strong smell of the floor cleaners did not go well with dinner at all. I know it was 10-15 mins before their closing time but that was not cool. Bottom line: Overpriced for what it is - sit down prices for plastic/paper "dining," mediocre, tasteless food, way too salty, and the cleaning while we were eating was not a nice touch. Go somewhere else. For this price, you can experience fine dining and better food at any of the other sit-down Thai restaurants in the area. We should have trusted our guts when we saw the place empty at dinner time on a Friday. It's empty for a reason. Never again. read more

I have been here 6 times for lunches and enjoyed it every time. Consistent quality and flavor. The Papaya Salad is top notch. Ginger stir fry and Green Curry dishes taste great! We ordered with chicken and share the portions. This is a family owned restaurant and recipes are like home cooking. Friendly server and family cooking in kitchen. It came with plenty of meat and ingredients, but there was not that many noodles. The larb was excellent. So yummy, great with rice too. The menu and the bill was inaccurate. Unfortunate. Did not get to try the food. Walked in for dine in with 1 person in line in front of us. Placed an order for 2 lunch specials and chicken satay. We sat down and waited as the restaurant started to fill for lunch. They started placing to go order one after another on the counter. After waiting for 30 minutes, our lunch was ending. We walked up and asked where our food was. They looked around and could not find our order. After searching for a couple minutes, talking to the chef, some yelling in the kitchen, the server picks up a to go bag that had been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes and brings it over to our table. We said the food was cold and she said sorry and took the food back and we had to leave. We did not pay, but we were served our Thai iced tea which was really good. Hence... 2 stars. read more

I'm so GLAD this tiny Thai corner restaurant exists!! I LOVE Thai food (along with Japanese, Viet, and Mexican- Korean, Indian)--and would often drive to L.A. (Hollywood, in particular for Thai/Korean/Mexican)--this restaurant is legit. Their Pad Si Eu, Tiger Beef Salad, and Tom Young Goong make for a delicious complete meal. Especially here in South O.C. (a rarity), authentic Thai is hard to find. You'll find Thai restaurants w/a blend of Chinese, or another take on Thai (i.e., adding vinegar to Thai soup to save $$$ to cut corners). This place reminds me of restaurants in Hollywood's Thai town. The owner is so sweet!! And their mango sticky rice is Delish! read more
