This place just doesn't cut it. Three of us dined here tonight and 1 of us thought it was average and two didn't like their meals. Carpet was dingy. Remodeling is hopefully in the cards. Service was good and friendly, but that was the only redeeming quality. Random thoughts: The rice dish was overloaded with fish sauce. We ate it because we were starving. The chicken curry dish only came with chicken and bamboo shoots. No veggies, nada. Spicy chicken noodle dish was tasty but too sweet and the only veggies in it were onions and bamboo shoots. The standard red, green & other curry dishes here are $16 for beef or chicken, $19 for shrimp. You want brown rice? $2 extra per person. Hot tea? Extra. Salad with your entree? $6 extra for a green salad. Thai Delight is priced for perfection, but you won't find anything close to that here. No second chances for me. read more

I was visiting the area and wanted some good Thai food. I came to Thai Delight based on Yelp reviews. The establishment is very run down and a bit too dark for my liking. We had beef satay and pad thai (usually safe picks), the beef satay was terrible it was like no beef I have ever had, it had the texture of liver and was over salted. The chicken pad thai was soupy and just not good, it wasn't spicy nor sweet it was just some noodles. The only plus is the service was good. read more

I've been here twice now, and both experiences were about the same. Decent food, but certainly not the best of ever had. One thing I did notice that they sweeten their soup. The broth is very sweet, and In my opinion, this is a cheap trick restaurants use to get you to enjoy their food. There is no reason to add sugar to soup! Very clean and healthy food. Owners are extremely friendly and are the wait staff. I hate that I have to pay $2.00 for the whole grain brown rice. For a table of four, that was an extra 8 dollars; at whole sale prices that would buy about 5 pounds which is about 48 servings, 16 cents per serving. SPOT ON! This little unassuming restaurant in the corner of the plaza is small on floor space, but HUGE on flavor! The curries are just amazing! So much flavor and you can customize the "heat" level when you order, for those less daring with spice. Ugggghhhh. My aunt wanted to meet here for lunch and assured me the place was clean. After eating, she looks over at me and gives me a weird look, and I turn around and there's a ROACH crawling behind my head. At the same time, the owner was coming by to pick up my card to pay. The fanily who run this restaurant are extremely nice, so you really want to like it, but for me the food missed the mark. Spicy Noodles tasted of fish sauce only and were swimming in oil. Panang Curry was bland. Their prices are higher than the average Thai restaurant also, not justified by a higher quality of preparation. (And $2 extra for brown rice when it costs them a few pennies more is really gouging.) I should have stuck with my regular Thai restaurant in the Cove and Jasmine Thai in Margate. read more
