i don't consider maine to be a cultural or culinary hub (sorry maine!), but thai for you is an exception. don't let the location or the elderly clientele fool you - this is a wonderful spot with staff that knows what they are doing. incredibly friendly staff, fast at cooking, and delicious results. this is the type of joint where you come and you are welcomed in as family and you really taste it with what you get. i was honestly shocked with how delicious my thai boba was (perfect boba pearls by the way), the crab rangoon was delicious, and my pad see ew was yummy. everyone was satisfied with what they had. an extra thank you to the staff for always taking care of my boyfriend's grandparents - this is the only place they like to eat out in york! read more

My husband and I spent our anniversary in York, Maine. We are from Portland, Maine! Of course we ordered Thai for take out. This is literally some of the best Thai food I have ever had in my life! Especially in Maine! The chicken was delicious, tender, and filled with flavor. The food was mouth watering! Our food was packaged well, very hot, and they were so kind to add hot sauce, garlic dipping sauces, napkins, chopsticks, and plastic utensils. This place is worth a 45 min drive to York from Portland! Go give this place a try. I can't wait to try this in person. read more

This place is criminally underrated. I've never had better Thai food than this place. It had such a wide variety and everything comes out hot and delicious. I love getting the tamarind duck - tender bits of duck in a crispy crunchy coating sautéed in a sweet tamarind sauce and all tossed with vegetables and pineapple. You also get a choice of rice and I didn't get it this time but you can get sticky rice that come in their own little steamer baskets and they are SO adorable. The staff are incredibly friendly. The hostess knew her regulars and remembered their orders, would joke with them and get sassy too, especially if you say you don't like spice. It's really cozy in there too and they have all sorts of Thai art work. And the prices are super decent. $10-$20. Super recommend read more

We stopped here for a quick bite after leaving the beach en route to home. Seeing there was a bit of traffic ahead, I decided to get a note here to go. We arrived at 8 15, they close at 9pm. I ordered the "For you Sampler" which was your standard Thai appetizer sampler. The food was ready in a little over ten minutes which was great because I was so hungry! :) The food was fresh, delicious, and the portions were abundant. Was too excited to take pics of the food-sorry about that but it came hot and fresh and was really good. Also to note the employees we worked with were super nice on the phone and keeping a distance for pick up. We got the lunch specials of pad Thai, panang curry with chicken, mango curry with shrimp (they accidentally gave us chicken instead of shrimp but was still good) and the crab Rangoon, the lunch special is only $7.95 and a great portion with the app. Would go back when craving Thai in the area! read more

My favorite restaurant in the area. The portions are big enough for lots of leftovers. There is nothing that I have tried that I didn't like. I always go back to the basil fried rice, the massaman curry, and the pad thai though. read more

Surprisingly good food! The atmosphere is corny- there's a wall that's from an office cubicle and carnival flags. But the food was great. Took a while to come out, but fresh and hot. Be careful of the spicy level! My husband is Korean and used to spice. He got a level 3 curry and he said it was perfect. I got level 3 also and couldn't finish it. Too spicy. If you like spice then get a 3. Only get higher if you have the tolerance to be in a pepper eating competition! read more

My family and I go here weekly, and we really love this place. The food is excellent, and the service is very friendly. Great spring rolls, pad thai, salads, tofu,noodle soups, etc. etc. The prices are also very reasonable. The dinner special menu is an outstanding value! The only recommendation I have is to "warm up" the atmosphere a bit. The place is very cold and uncomfortable, with bright, obnoxious, overhead florescent lights. You can't really be relaxed when you eat there, which is why most of their customers order take out! read more

It's really good...for Maine. They do a pretty good job here. I mean, it's is serviceable Thai food. If you are expecting gourmet Thai, like the you can find in Boston, NYC, or DC, then you may need to lower your expectations a tad. They nail it on price, this place is a go to when I don't want a sandwich, but want to spend as much as I would on a sandwich (before tip). The decor is dated, and I don't like being able to see into the kitchen (especially with the microwave, front and center). The drink fridge upfront seems out of place as well. The menu is long without being expansive, as many items (typical of Asian restaurants) are variations on the same theme. The specials are offered at lunch and dinner, and are really good value for the single eater. Two appetizers, and the dish for 11.95. Without being too specific about the main courses (I've had a few...). I usually order the fresh roll and the kanom jeep (which in DC was jeeb, not sure which is correct). You get a single fresh roll, sliced in half with spicy peanut sauce and three steamed dumplings with the black sauce (like a sweet soy, with less salt). Before the appetizers come, you get a tofu and vegetable soup, which is more of a palate cleanser for me than anything. The entrees tend to be decent portion, although there is nothing outstanding. The price and quantity are a match though, so I can live with that. The people who work there are a friendly lot, and you can get a seat in the winter pretty easily. They do a healthy take out business, so you may not want to sit by the door during that time. read more

So disappointed, came recommended so we rushed to get there. Arrived at about 8:45, open sign on, went in asked for table for 2 and woman at counter turned and looked at clock and said we are closing at 9 sorry you can not be served. What a horrible way to operate a business, they should turn off the open sign if they do not want business. Will never try again. I would of given 0 but not option, just for the rudeness read more

Excellent food! Really great service. We have dined in and ordered take out. They excel at both. If you are so-so with spice, I recommend 1 or 0 when they ask your range of spice. A mere 2 was very hot, which is how spicy food should be, but restaurants that don't really know how to make dishes traditionally spicy have resulted in so many people thinking they can handle a spice that, in reality, with true spicing, we cannot. Wandered into "Thai for You" on 1\2\2017 by accident ... what a great accident! We had lunch specials - phanang curry and chicken pric pow. Soup appetizers and main were great. The chicken was on the dry side and it was just plain bland. Not nearly enough taste - doesnt even have to be spicy but some taste would be good. We shall see, might try again and ask for higher spicy-level. But right now I can only say that it isnt bad as such but could/should be much better to really be a place I would go back to.

It was ready for me when I got there. The woman at the cash register was friendly and smiling. Got home and discovered they put in egg rolls instead of the chicken fingers. Picked up my phone to call and saw they tried to call me. Called them back and she was so apologetic . We arranged for me to pick up the chicken fingers the day after. My husband enjoyed what we had gotten and everything was delicious- even the egg rolls, haha! Got the chicken fingers the next day and again, the woman was wonderful. They gave us a double order and it was just as good as our other food was. They went above and beyond- I highly recommend them. Nice, clean place and quick service.
