We have eaten here over 50 times. Usually its good... but.... Tonight we came and were nickle and dimed!! We ordered chicken pad thai, chicken fried rice and a crying tiger ( so salty tonight it was unedible and we took home) w 2 thai iced teas. We paid almost $100. We were charged add ons $2 for green onion $2 for cilantro $1 peanut sauce and $2 for a side of rice (that should be included in $26 crying tiger)...... never been charged so much for so little of a modification. We asked for no carrots and no tofu and extra cilantro and green onion instead (obviously they did not give any credit for what we asked to not be put in just up charge for asking for extra onion and cilantro) Usually foods good...( meat salty, food bland but still ok) usually the service is good ( tonight rice was forgotten) Nothing is perfect and that's ok! But Nickel and diming is terrible when prices are already extremely high!!! What a turn off!! Its unfortunate as we wont be going back anytime soon...... there's like 8 other Thai places within a mile that wont nickel and dime us. What a shame. read more

We've been to this place several times, and it's such a convenient place for us to get Thai food, but although few of the items we've tried were great, most weren't good at all. I remember ordering from them during a special event, where one of our guests requested TOM YUM SOUP. So, I ordered it here, and our guest said it didn't taste as good as the Tom Yum Soup she's had at other places. I tried it myself, and she was so right. Their version had hints of sweetness. I prefer the super sour and spicy version, and so did our guest. We've also tried their PAD THAI for to-go, and it came out so dry. Not only that, but it also wasn't tasty either. They garnished it with slices of tofu that didn't go well with the Pad Thai noodles. Their DRUNKEN NOODLES was decent, but the veggies, noodles, and meat ratio was totally off, where it had way too many veggies and not enough meat and noodles. The only one I keep coming back for and probably the only one I recommend getting here is their CRYING TIGER. They give a generous amount of beef that's freshly grilled at a decent quality, but the one thing that makes it so delicious is their dipping sauce. They make the perfect blend of dipping sauce for the grilled beef. It's tangy, spicy, with hints of sweetness. I come here just to order the dipping sauce itself. I grill the beef at home and use their dipping sauce, and for a large container, it cost ~$9, which lasts after several use. My son loves Thai curry dishes, so we've tried their YELLOW CURRY with CHICKEN, and it was good. However, they were so stingy on their chicken portion. For the price they charge, it's not worth it. I'd rather drive farther and save at least $5 per dish. The service here is always friendly and cordial. The same lady that works here who helps me each time is so nice and polite. I truly appreciate her pleasant attitude. The ambiance is nicer than your typical Thai restaurant. It's casual but a bit classy, but certainly not upscale. Overall, this place offers a few good Thai dishes. We come for their Crying Tiger and the dipping sauce, but that's about it. read more

The best thing is their Crying Tiger with Grilled Shrimp everything else of passable to overtly salty. We came in as a group of 8 for dinner. At the outside of the restaurant, it smelled a bit off like a wet mop but I chalked it up to be something in the environment-however some of the girls in the party told me that it smelled like bleach and it was in unbearable which really affected their enjoyment of the meal. I only really noticed it around the end. I assumed that it was close to their end of service and the staff was cleaning up. Suggestion to the management is to wait until all guests leave before use of strong chemicals to clean. For feedback: The Crying Tiger with Grill pawn (5/5)was the best thing and I would recommend it. The meat was juicy and suckling. The shrimp had a fresh taste with a grill smoke to it. The stir fried veggies were delightful. The Yellow Curry (2/5) was too salty and the meat was dried. There was plenty left and no one wanted to take it home. Wow! This place is delicious! The best Thai place in Orange County! We ordered it to go the first time but the second time, we ate inside, at a booth and it was clean with good lighting. There are a lot of tables/booths, a wine bar with sports on the tv (for some reason haha) and the employees are all very nice. After we ordered, the restaurant was full at every table and booth with people even eating at the wine bar. There were a lot of people waiting in line to eat there! We tried a bunch of veggie options and they were all excellent. The food came out pretty fast for it being full! Each dish came out as it was done which I like. I asked if they could make me a Thai iced tea without half-and-half because I am lactose intolerant. I asked if they could substitute coconut milk. In my experience going to Thai restaurants, this is an easy accommodation because they already have coconut milk on hand. I talked to two different servers and they were completely unwilling to help me out with this simple request. It made me sad. They said they do not make accommodations for people that are lactose intolerant or are vegan. I ordered the pad see ew. It was not mixed efficiently and was lacking a lot of flavor. It was very bland and disappointing, but because of my previous issue with the Thai ice tea, I just tried to trudge through it and get it over with. I have had outstanding food here many times in the past. I am not sure what has happened, but I am very disappointed in the service and quality of the food. Definitely looking for another place to go and I hope in the future, they are able to be a little bit more flexible in accommodating people who have dietary restrictions. read more

A nice little Thai restaurant in the corporate plaza of foothill ranch. The place is very clean and much bigger than it seems from the outside. Everyone working inside is very nice and they are on top of it when it comes to getting orders on time. I had started with the Tom Kha soup which is not listed as Tom Kha but they have it listed as something else. The difference is that it's slightly creamier with the coconut milk added to it. The soup was alright but it did have a lot of veggies and tofu that I had requested. For the main course I got the spicy basil eggplant with tofu and the crying tiger. They were both delicious specially the crying tiger. The meat was delicious and tender and cooked to perfection. I had added an order of rice with it but it is simply served over a bed of rice. From the ambiance, service to the food you wouldn't expect such a place in a quiet little corporate corner. read more

This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Orange County and believe me I have tried many! What sets this place apart from others is the consistency and quality of their food. No matter how many times I order the Pad Thai and the chicken satay, I'm always amazed at how delicious it is. Some of my favorite dishes besides those are the pork fried rice, the crying tiger and the sticky rice with mango. The service is exceptional too. This is just for their food. I haven't been inside or dined there yet. This is located inside a small strip mall off of Portola Parkway and Glen Ranch Road. There's only about 5 businesses, including this Thai Garden. I think the others are Starbucks, Wahoo's Fish Taco, Urban Grill and Wine Bar, and Round Table Pizza. My BIL ordered online and picked up: a large tom yum soup ($21.95), pad see-ew ($14.95), pineapple fried rice ($14.95), garden delight ($14.95), pa-nang curry ($14.95), lime salad with beef ($12.95 + $3.00), and some rice ($1.95). Everything was surprisingly good! I like Thai food, but it's not high on my list; it's something I'd rather eat once in a while, especially because I hate cilantro...but I wouldn't mind eating it more frequently if it came from here. My favorite dish, pineapple fried rice, didn't have a lot of pineapple chunks, but had a fair amount of shrimp and meat, and the rice was nice and moist. The pad see-ew was a bit sweet, but still good. The beef in the salad was seasoned nicely and tasty. If anything, a lot of their dishes tasted similar. Like the pad see-ew and the garden delight had close flavors. I think the beef used in the salad is the the same beef they use for some of the other dishes. I understand that that's probably more cost-effective as well as easier and faster to prepare separate dishes. Perhaps if we ordered a different noodle dish, like pad Thai, it would've changed it up a bit. Either way, my kids who are not big Thai food fans, each had a favorite dish they were hogging up (one hogged the pineapple fried rice, and the other the pa-nang curry), so that says a lot. read more

The inside is an average Thai food place nice, clean, some Pop music? Fair amount of seating, inside and outside trying to be classy but overall average inside not bad. Good place to eat for a quick lunch maybe not so much for a date, at least a fancy date. I went for lunch during work. Service was OK. First time for Thai on our own. Had the Thai Rolls (like a spring roll) and the green sauce was a touch spicy and the peanut sauce was great. Both good flavor and the rolls were fresh . On a brisk and warm sunny Wednesday afternoon, my daughter and I went to one of her favorite restaurants. Thai Garden. After enjoying such a beautiful drive there, upon entering we met with the most gracious host. After being seated and introduced to our server Ms. Ket, both of us ordered the Crying Tiger because I kept hearing about it. Well. Date night with the hubby and wanted Thai...we're new to the Lake Forest area and needed to find some new dinner spots close by. This restaurant is on the corner of the center by the Marriott. The ambiance is very nice and clean. We started out with ordering the egg rolls for appetizer, which were pretty good, especially the sauce that comes with it. We ordered the Pad Thai noodles and Crying Tiger beef for dinner. Yumm that beef with the lime sauce is fantastic and you can change the heat level from 1 to10,we had the 3 & 4 and it was delicious with the perfect amount of heat. I couldn't imagine getting something even close to 10? That would be hot hot hot! The service was excellent and we had a great time.
