Pad Thai

Not bad. First time ordering chicken pad Thai. Server was very attentive and kind. Place looked very clean too. I would come back :)

Thai Garden is located in the Foothill Plaza, at the corner of Portola Pkwy and Glenn Ranch Road, next to the Marriott Courtyard and Orange theory Fitness. It is a Thai oasis to enjoy Thai food in a relaxed surroundings. I discovered today that all entrees, fried rice/noodles are available as lunch specials, i.e. with free soup. The soup of the day today is Thai noodle soup. I could kick myself for not having it before for it is amazing. I would come back on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the Thai noodle soup if nothing else. I was thinking about drunken noodles earlier but ordered the spicy eggplant instead. I told my server I want it really really spicy but it was just mild. Thai Garden is a great place to enjoy good food, good service and good vibes.

Panang curry - so good

It's been a while since we last dined here due to my very last order that we weren't happy with. We wanted Thai food but due to time constraints, we went to Thai Garden as it was the closest. The restaurant is still as nice and clean as when they first opened. One of the workers here, I forget his name, has been here for a very long time. He recognized my husband even after our long absence. That was actually cool to be remembered. He was his usual friendly self. Our server and other team members were very attentive throughout our dining experience. What we ordered this time: 1) Pad-see-ew with tofu - we always have to order this with extra noodles because they don't give you very much in comparison to other restaurants. They're more generous with the protein and veggies. The noodles were delicious, however, I wish they wouldn't charge an extra $8.00 for the extra noodles. As you can see in my photo, it doesn't look like extra noodles. It just looks like the portion other restaurants give without the extra fee. 2) Panang curry with pork - the sauce was amazing as usual but the pork was a bit on the dry side 3) crying tiger - delicious and tender as always 4) Larb - I didn't order it this time but this is a go-to here. 5) papaya salad - another dish I didn't order this time around but is a must-have for me. Overall it's more like a 3.5 out of 5 for me due to the dry pork and the fee for extra noodles, but since I can't do 1/2 points, let's just do a 4. Service is really good, staff attentive, and flavors are absolutely delicious. Would I return? Yes, yes I would if I couldn't get to my favorite place in RSM.

Ordered takeout from Thai Garden! We ordered: - Thai noodle soup with chicken - beef pad Thai - beef pineapple fried rice Would definitely order the soup and pad see ew again! The two were very tasty. The soup was pretty flavorful on its own, probably won't add a protein next time I get it. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu!

Spur of the moment dinner adventure. Great place to eat. Staff is friendly, detailed and didn't rush us even though we showed up 40 minutes before close time. We ordered the Yellow Curry (vegan) and Pad See-Ew (also vegan) with white rice. The food wad really delicious and fresh. Super flavourful and just slighty spicy, which I prefer. The restaurant is on the smaller side, very clean and nice decor. We will definitely be coming back.

This is our fave local Thai spot. The service is great, food is yummy and most items can be tailored to meet my allergy needs. We eat here all the time.

Great spot for a lunch on a workday! Not too busy. Plenty of seating. Good amount of parking. Good service. Food was good. The curry was flavorful and not too spicy. Pad Thai was also delicious and full of flavor.

Thai food of my taste. Good service. Lunch special portions are good enough to share and it comes with a soup of the day. Fresh and clean environment.

One of the best panang curries I've tasted, they don't skimp on the meat either. Smiling and friendly staff, of course. I came around noon, lots of people for lunch but I was still seated quickly. The lighting is comfortable and all around peaceful eating experience

I've been searching for some good Thai food near my work so I stopped in to try out for lunch. I was seated immediately and service was pretty quick to come back and take my order. I ordered the lunch special with chow mein and she seemed a little confused as to what I was ordering so I thought I was ordering wrong? Not sure, but the menu for lunch specials is very confusing. And not well written. Each page has their specifications for the lunch special so I thought mine came with soup, salad, and rice, but it only came with soup. No biggy, but for the price it probably wasn't worth it. The soup was alright and my chow Mein was decent, I can't complain much. Overall the experience was fine, not much of a wow factor and probably won't need to come back.

Off the beaten path but well worth the drive!!! This is the ultimate in Thai marinated Beef! Flavorful, Tender! Delicious! What can I say, it is Culinary Perfection!!! The salads Peanut Dressing is amazing and the soup was so savory and delish!!! It is an OC hidden gem in the Foothills!!!

Disappointed. Found this piece of plastic in my drunken noodles.

Solid Thai food in the area. I generally order the pad Thai and pad ki Mao. I like that they can make things vegetarian friendly.

The best Thai food in South OC so far! Crying tiger is tasty and the portion is great! Only downside no rice with dinner entrees.

I don't know how to describe what it tastes like, but it's kind of like a seafood curry with spinach and a bright rainbow curry. Pad woon soon was good too. And pad see ewe. However, I had a major disappointment Last night. I ordered a Tom kha goong soup that cost $17. Most places sell the soup for like 5-10 dollars so I'm thinking $18 is expensive that has got to be some dinner portion soup so it didn't make sense when it asked me if I wanted a large for seven dollars more, I'm thinking that that's probably a portion for a family. But it's cold and it's raining and I wanted to sip on something warm. They sent me the tiniest cup of soup. think when you go to a restaurant and they ask you if you want a cup of soup for three dollars or a bowl of soup for five dollars. I got a cup of soup. think when you go to a Japanese restaurant and they give you a small little miso soup with your meal. That's how much soup I got for $18. There were two slices of tomatoes in there a a couple mushrooms and a 2 piece of shrimp. This upset me so much because I spent so much money and was expecting some food. I politely called the restaurant and spoke to them about it and they said that they were very sorry but it's expensive because DoorDash charges 30% of the price. Which I understand, and I expect to pay more to have something delivered, but it was still very expensive for what I got, and in the end, it wouldn't have cost them much to give a large portion, and they should be more mindful about balancing what the customer is getting with their profits. Which they totally deserve their profits. It would be much more reasonable if the small was $6 and the large was $12. If that was the small I can imagine that the $25 large portion probably should've been offered as the small portion. Just writing that out upsets me so much have you ever spent $25 for a soup before?

There's a mix of indoor seating and some outdoor communal tables shared with nearby spots, so it has a casual vibe. I started with the Pad Thai and it delivered. Slightly on the sweeter side, but balanced. The spicy powder came on the side and I forgot to mix it all in. The noodles weren't clumped at all and the shrimp tasted fresh and have not been sitting around. Theres also plenty of shrimp tucked underneath. The Crouching Tiger was probably the dish that stood out for me. The beef was super tender with just a light sweetness to it. It came with two sauces, and in my opinion, the meat didn't even need them. I'm guessing they're more for the salad underneath. Papaya salad was just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Could've been because it was takeout and I had to mix the sauce it comes with myself and sometimes that makes a difference. Also, it was not spicy at all, so keep that in mind. Mango sticky rice hit the spot. Served warm, mango was ripe and sweet, and the sticky rice soaked up that coconut sauce. It was so good. They also hook it up with condiments. The jalapeños were actually really good. It tasted fresh, crunchy, and had a nice kick without being overwhelming. In addition, they include chili powder so you can adjust the heat to your liking. Overall, feels like a family own spot that knows what they're doing. Efficient service, everything packaged neatly, and food comes out quick. The ambiance feels like an old school Thai restaurant and sometimes that's exactly what you want.

I'm blessed this is right around the corner from my work, so it's convenient (which is a temptation). The food is very delicious and the portion sizes are generous. I'm ordering form here every week for lunch, and nothing I've had has really disappointed. Food is served hot and made quickly. Their pineapple rice is off the charts. I would suggest getting it a bit spicy/with more Thai curry. Their crab and Thai fried rice is also a hit. Their massaman curry is flavourful and not too hot. You can always add more spice if you want. My favourite noodle dishes are the Pad thai (so yummy and not dry), pad kee mao (love the Thai basil), and pad wood sen. I have ordered the chowmein, it wasn't the best or my favourite, this dish didn't really taste "Thai" at all and I would not order it again, but it does not affect my opinion of this place. The people are friendly and food is ready despite them usually being busy. Don't forget to ask for chili in vinegar - these are a yummy addition to your food.

She confirmed that it was. While I have not dined at all OC Thai restaurants to compare, they did a great job here and I would come back. My Spicy eggplant with chicken and brown rice was excellent. The portion size was above average which is critical for this guy that burns through food like a Ford F350 burns through gasoline. They gave and adequate amount of veggies (and you cannot have too many veggies in this dish especially peppers) and a good portion of chicken. You choose spice level on a scale of 1 to 10. I picked 3 as a guess and would not go much higher than that next time. Their brown rice is incredible--you will not find better anywhere. Service is efficient, respectful but no time to sit at your table and chat with you. One Asian woman was serving the entire restaurant and the pickups and did a great job. She was as efficient as 3 teens combined at any retail store. LOL But don't come here if you are in a mad rush. I really liked the atmosphere here. While the place in general could use a deep cleaning during their closed day I really liked the atmosphere inside which they kept cooler on a hot day (bring an extra shirt or jacket). Good place for dining alone, friends meal, family, date night or pre-romantic dinner. Everyone will feel comfortable here. There is no Valet, but a large parking lot of free and easy parking.
