Lunch Special: Cashew Nut Chicken with Fried Rice
    Marcus L.

My meal was salted beyond enjoyability. I think it's due to the area and catering towards a certain demographic... but nonetheless I was disappointed. For a lunch special, however, I'd say the portion and price was good. The service was also great. Food: 2/5 Price: 4/5 Experience: 3/5

We come here several times a month and it's always so good! The women who work up front are always so friendly and welcoming. This time we had the teriyaki chicken, Mongolian beef and pad Thai. For dessert, if they have it, get the mango sticky rice! It's one of my favorites!

Stopped in for a late meal. It's been awhile since I have come here. Looked really clean when I walked in and you can definetly.smell the food. I was greeted instantly. I ordered hot tea they do have several decaf options I was surprised Almond cream, blueberry, peach, and lemon ginger. We are trying the peach. Love that they have loose leaf tea! The service is really good tonight. The egg roll is hot, crispy, and flavorful. Curry is AMAZING THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS GREAT TONIGHT. Much improved from my last visit.

Me and my husband were on a work trip in Tehachapi for a week and wanted some Thai food and loved the name of this place. Thai Hachapi, so clever! Some dishes were better than others. I did love the Tom Yum and the spicy crispy pork belly. I would've preferred ground pork but they didn't have that, But overall great service and a good spot for a city with not much here.

I wanted to try this place because of the name. Smaller sized restaurant & very busy. The staff is very quick and friendly. The place is bright and clean. We ordered the appetizer sampler It had fried shrimp, chicken wontons & eggrolls. They were each so good, the eggroll was a standard eggrolls, the chicken wontons were so simple but so tasty. The shrimp coating or breading was amazing. the texture was just so crispy. Chicken satay was great the dipping sauce was great. The little cucumber salad is refreshing. Our entrees we got were chicken pad Thai, panang curry with chicken, spicy basil pork belly. Pad Thai was great, lots of chicken & had a hint of sweetness. The panang is amazing, it was my first time trying it and oh my good I'm obsessed. Has a sweetness to it and so much chicken it was delicious. The spicy basil pork belly is a must try, we got medium spicy and that was great for us. The pork belly is fried to perfection, the veggies aren't soggy, super tasty. The sweetness of the Panang & spicyness of the pork belly dish went so great together. This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant. I'll definitely stop here every time we pass through the area.

Came by on a Friday afternoon, and there were a few tables full but they had room for us. We were a party of 6, and they have a table that can accommodate 8! We all ordered various items from the Lunch special menu which is $11.99 for a meal. A great price in my opinion. I got the Lunch special: spicy basil with pork 8/10 Very flavorful with good spice. I got the mild and thought it was great. I also go Mango sticky rice, which was not as fresh as I'd like. The sticky rice seemed to not be fresh or soft and quite hard. Would come here for a cheap lunch!

Honestly one of the best Thai restaurants we have ever tried. We ordered a side of potstickers (delicious!), teriyaki chicken, calamari & shrimp with sweet chilli paste. Oh my goodness, my tastebuds were in heaven. The restaurant itself is super clean and they attend you very quickly.

Fast andGreat spot for some traditional Thai cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious I ordered the sweet and sour pork lunch special (which they allow specials all week!!) it was fresh, delicious, flavorful, and priced affordably!

First visit last week while working in Mojave, we decided to stop on the way back to Bakersfield and try out Thai Hachapi. It didn't start off on the right foot as the server didn't notice us come in and left us sitting at our table unattended for several minutes. We finally had to catch her attention to even let her know we were there after she had taken menus to a group that came in after us. The food came out pretty quick and I'm happy with the portion size. There was plenty of food and the crab noodles use a good amount of real crab which is nice. Overall the flavor was a little bland, it needed something. A little spice, some salt, something to bring the flavor out of it a bit more. I expect big bold flavors with Thai food and it was a little bit of a miss on that. Overall the portion size, quality and speed were good. I'll give it another shot and try something different next time, I think there's a lot of potential there, maybe I ordered the wrong item or just caught the chef on an off day.

After doing a quick Yelp search i found Red House BBQ. From the being to end the whole experience was great, we were greeted promptly and sat down just as fast. We opted to sit outside since it was a beautiful day with great weather. The patio and outside seating is huge, the inside is a bit smaller but still has plenty of seating and it's nice I love the decor. I went with the Tri Tip sandwich and added hot-links which was a great choice I also got a side of fries. The Tri Tip was well seasoned it had the crack peppercorn taste that I personally love. Served on a soft Brioche bun I believe. They give you 3 bbq sauces on the side to choose from Sweet and mild , mild and spicy all three were delicious. My wife and daughter went with the pulled pork sandwich which I tried an it was delicious, especially the little pieces of Bark. My wife had a side of Mac and cheese and my daughter a side salad. They said the Mac and cheese was delicious and so was the side salad it was fresh. They do have a small bar nothing big and offer beer, wine and some mixed drinks. Overall it was great experience and I say even better BBQ than most of the spots I've tried in Bakersfield. It's a shame it's about 45 mins away but I'll be definitely making the trip back soon to try something else on the menu.

Pulled pork, Mac n cheese, sliced Tri-tip. Very fresh and tasty, and large portions on the plate. The service was horrendous. It started with walking in and the waitress said "wait and have a seat". Wait and sit where? There was no easily identified waiting area. All the tables were full. Oh...across the room on the one empty seat at the bar. Glad I spotted it. We placed an order for onion rings as an appetizer while we reviewed the menu. Several minutes later we placed our entree order. Shortly after that our entrees came out, no appetizer. Five minutes after our entree arrived the appetizer showed up. I wanted my water refilled but we didn't see our waitress for 15mins, finally having to flag down another waitress to assist. Later I asked the manager to explain how the appetizer showed up long after our entrees, even though I placed the appetizer order first. She spoke so fast with a strong non-American accent that she was difficult to understand. I asked her to slow down because I didn't understand her, yet she continued to talk fast with her thick accent that I could only pick up bits and pieces. Something about fried food taking longer to cook than the already-prepared meat. I told her the service was disappointing. She said "okay" and told her waitress to fill my glass. And that was the end of the visit. I don't know who owns the place, but we did not receive a positive customer service experience, rather just getting lots of broken excuses. 2 stars for the food. Nothing for service and management.

We live in Northern CA and love to eat here whenever we're in town. Sadly, we will never return. The female employee told us the restaurant "can't accommodate" our party and said she didn't know how long it would be before we could be seated. As a former hostess, I understand how seating works and that a larger party and 2-3 smaller parties often means a longer wait, especially if a large group was just seated. That's completely reasonable. What was frustrating was the wording. Saying you "can't" accommodate guests implies unwillingness rather than a temporary delay. A clearer and more professional response would have been something like, "We won't have an available table for about 45 minutes to an hour." That sets expectations honestly and respectfully. Restaurants don't always have immediate availability, and most patrons understand that, me especially--but how the message is delivered absolutely matters. Better communication would have made this a much more positive interaction and guaranteed we would return.

My wife and I came to this restaurant because we looked online at the menu and there were 2 items I…read morewas very interested in: The tempura cauliflower and the chicken cordon bleu. We get there, and asked if we have a reservation...uh oh....it was Valentines Weekend, but they did find a table for us. Then we get a waiter who I believe was the busboy to help out and we are told right off the bat that the tempura cauliflower AND the cordon bleu were sold out. Well, damn... this is not a good start. I took a look at the menu and I saw a portobello mushroom appetizer that sounded interesting so, we started with that. We then got some garlic bread to munch on while waiting for the appetizer and it was really good. The portobello mushroom sliced, fried, and served with marinara sauce. I have found mushroom appetizers usually very underwhelming and I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary here, but this appetizer was delicious. The mushroom was prepared perfectly and paired so damn good with the marinara. I forgot all about the sold out cauliflower! Since the cordon bleu was off the menu, I saw my good ol' standby, eggplant parmesan on the menu. At $25, I thought it was a bit pricey considering it didn't come with pasta, but I thought, what the hell. I'll give it a go. My wife ordered the Beef bourguignon with rice. They bring our plates to the table, and my jaw literally dropped at the size of the portions. HUGE. The eggplant parmesan looked more like a lasagna and it was topped with cheese and marinara. Cutting to the chase, it was delicious, impossible to finish, and the eggplant was tender and breaded just right. That portion of eggplant became 3 more meals for me, and I can eat a lot. Worth every penny of that $25. The beef bourguignon was also delicious and the portion was very large as well. We wished we got it with the pasta instead of the rice, though. The leftovers her meal also provided a couple more meals, and the flavor holds up to reheating. I am going to be coming back to this place to sample more of the menu, because if what we had on our first visit is any indication, I will be getting a great meal no matter what is ordered. The service is a little slow, but everyone was very pleasant and seemed truly happy their food was enjoyed.
