Whatever it was, it tasted so bad I did not finish it. It had a really off putting fried spoiled meat taste AND smell. And was really oily. Thinking about it makes my stomach churn. I don't know if I would trust getting this again if I come back. Service was great. They were attentive without being overbearing. They provided great service to every one that came in. I remembered the kapoon being generously sized and delicious, and the nam khao also being solid. My mom hadn't had these dishes before, so we decided to order these. My mom also hadn't had stuffed wings before, and I hadn't had it here before, so we also got that. To start, service here was exceptional. The young gentleman greeted us when we came in, and he was great at communication. There were times he was busy as it was the lunch hour, but he made sure to let us know that he didn't forget about us. We had asked for more time to look over the menu, but he had to get stuff for another table, and he basically told us he would be right with us. I haven't seen this basic communication at other places in a while, and definitely noticed. He was also very attentive and asked us preemptively if we were sharing the kapoon and that they could split it up into two bowls for us, instead of having us split it ourselves. Dishes we had: - Kapoon: Despite it being split into two bowls, it was still generously sized. Lots of chicken pieces, lots of noodles. The soup was flavorful on it's own. There's also quail eggs. They give you a side of lime, mint, bean sprouts, and shredded cabbage. - Nam Khao: Slightly on the saltier side, but it was still good. Great texture. It comes with cucumbers and a couple leaves of lettuce. Wished there was a bit more lettuce to wrap the nam khao in, and also a bit of lime on the side. We used our leftover lime for this dish. You can get fermented pork on the side, which the server quickly asked and I almost didn't process what he said, but I said yes to it. It was a packaged stick of fermented pork with a chili that you can cut with scissors and gloves they provide to you. The gloves might not be necessary if you cut the packaging and then cut the fermented pork stick straight from the packaging (trying to save the business some expenses!) - Stuffed wing: Delicious! Very flavorful. You can taste the lime leaf flavor in there. It tastes amazing with the sweet chili sauce. They can also give you another sauce on the side (didn't catch it), but it adds a bit of moisture and extra flavor with the sauce. The chicken skin had a nice slight crisp and chew to it. It comes with pickled veggies. They do have a lunch specials version of this that comes with rice, and I think rice on the side would be nice with this. It's $1 for the rice on the side with other extra things to the lunch special. The rest of the menu has definitely expanded since the pandemic to include soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, ice cream, happy hour and lunch specials. I am curious about their sandwiches and some of their other soups, and would love to come back soon!

I've driven past this spot countless times but somehow never made it in, until now! I stopped by on a Saturday before noon, and the restaurant was pretty quiet, with only a few tables occupied. The interior is modern, clean, and well kept, making it a nice spot for a casual meal. After looking over the menu, we decided on the Pad Thai with Shrimp (medium heat) and Panang Curry with Chicken (medium heat). While ordering, our server also recommended the Pipo Salad, essentially their take on papaya salad. They offer it Lao or Thai style, and we went with the Thai style with mild heat. Once the food came out, the first thing I noticed was the portion sizes, everything was much bigger than I expected, especially considering the reasonable prices. These are definitely portions that are easy to share family-style. The Pipo Salad had tons of flavor, and I really enjoyed being able to taste the vinegar and fish sauce. One thing to note, though: I ordered it mild, but this ended up being the spiciest dish on the table! I'd say the heat was closer to a medium, while the Pad Thai and curry were much milder. The Pad Thai was solid. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the flavor was there. The Panang Curry was good, although I personally wished both the Pad Thai and curry had a little more heat. Luckily, our server brought out some condiments, including Thai pepper fish sauce, which was excellent with the curry and gave it the extra kick I was looking for. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving Pipo Ramen and Rice a try. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and there's a good variety of dishes I'm looking forward to exploring on my next visit. My only real complaint is that the spice levels seem a little inconsistent. I wanted my Pad Thai and curry to be spicier, but at the same time, I didn't want my mouth completely on fire. We usually don't order any fried dim sum but we felt like being "bad" so we ordered the fried shrimp ball, which turned out to be the star of the day. ("Everything tastes better fried"!!) The shrimp balls looked absolutely beautiful and the outer skins were crunchy. The balls came out piping hot and the shrimps tasted wonderful. That's exactly what we needed that day.
