The quality of the food is good but the portions are pretty small and it's a little pricey. We went in the other day with a group of about 10. I ordered the orange chicken and pad Thai noodles which was really good. It took them about an hour to bring out some appetizers and along with that they brought my orange chicken out. Ten minutes later I got my pad Thai. Another ten minutes later the rest of our group finally got their food. It was awkward to sit there with a plate of food while everyone watched me eat and they took so long on our order. The lunch buffet is delicious, simple, light, and flavorful. You can eat your heart out and not feel that gross heavy feeling you often do with buffets. I've also had dinner here and everything I've had has been outstanding. I've been here approximately 10 times and I've never been disappointed. The nice thing about this place is its simplicity. Experienced the buffet based on yelp reviews on a Friday. Although the few items served were pretty good, the selection was very small. Rice, soup, butterflies, noodles, fish dish, & chicken dish. Really good food. Simple but bright and clean restaurant. Waitress was energetic and positive even though she may not have been the most experienced (delivered my desert halfway into eating dinner). I have eaten a lot of Thai food around the world and while what I had was a relatively simple dish (red chicken curry) it was perfect. The food here is excellent! The red chicken curry is the best in town. The chicken satay is a delicious appetizer, and the house peanut sauce is wonderful for dipping. It is expensive, however, but you get what you pay for. I still think it's ridiculous to charge people for plain white rice. I am giving this restaurant a 2 because of the poor service we experienced here. We went for dinner with another couple on a Friday evening. We ordered appetizers and entrees. The appetizers came quickly and were very good. Our friend's meal was served a short time later. 25 minutes passed-I know because from my seat there was a clock on the wall in front of me. In that time I asked the server if our meal was coming and she assured me it was. If there was a reason our meal was delayed we were not informed or given the option to order another dish. While we waited, meals were served to four tables that had all arrived after us. We were very upset by this time. We stopped here on our way up to Leavenworth after planning to eat at Yakima Thai Cuisine and finding out they were closed (during their normal hours). I ordered the Beef Swimming Angels. The sauce was flavorful and the spinach added a nice texture; I would recommend ordering a side of rice to go with it. My wife ordered Kee Mao Noodles with chicken (different than Pad Kee Mao) and really enjoyed the flavor, textures, and vegetables. If we lived in the area, we'd be regulars! read more

Took one hour for my food to be served barely warm. My friend's food didn't show up for another 10 minutes. His dish said it came with broccoli, but there was none. He was told they were out, yet my dish had some. We saw two tables get up and walk out after long waits and another table telling the waitperson they had 5 more minutes or they would walk. The Thai house is somewhat of a well-kept secret in Yakima. It's a small establishment but boasts some very big flavors. I was going to give this place 3 stars because Everytime I have been there, the food took awhile to come. But that is mainly because there are always lots of customers but the food is always worth the wait. The friendly staff are always welcoming and are gracious to bring out complimentary appetizers if the food is taking awhile. I am a vegan and really appreciate this restaurant! We asked the waitress if anything could be made vegan, she went to check with the chef and showed us everything on the menu that could be made vegan. I got the Yum Nua salad sub beef for tofu and the vegetable fried rice with no egg or fish sauce. The rice tasted the exact same as I tried it before I was vegan (with egg & fish sauce) and the salad was great but I did have to go home and add some more veggies to it. We are so glad to have delicious Thai food in Yakima! We have tried a couple of other Thai restaurants in Yakima that were just okay. Thai House is completely different. We ordered takeout Guy Pahd Hed Sohd and Kee Mao Noodles and they both were very complex and fresh tasting.
