You cannot go wrong here! The reason they have the best Pad Thai is because the type of Noodle they use. It's a special Thai rice noodle call, Sen-Jun, the texture is a bit more chewy, how it was in the olden days in Thailand. Hardly any Thai restaurant uses it because it costs a lot more, but this is a gem. The service is wonderful and so friendly. They seem to know a lot of the customers well and makes u feel welcome. When you go to Thai Kitchen, don't expect a glossy menu that looked like car ads. Don't expect all friendly waiters (some are, and some aren't). Don't expect romantic upscale ambiance. The last time I went to this location, which was last week, the walls of their dining room were painted in three colors: purple on the left part of the room, pink in the middle, and blueish teal on the right. Not exactly my kind of setting for a restaurant. But I don't go to Thai Kitchen for the fluff. I go here for the stuff -- the food. I do take outs. So often that there used to be a guy who took phone order, recognized me just by my voice, knew what my usual order was. The food is absolutely fabulous. The best Pad Thai I've tasted so far. Other Thai restaurants have their Pad Thai way too sweet for me. My favorites are Phat Woon Sen, Thai Fried Rice, Shrimp in Thai red curry and green beans, or any of their Rice Soup or Tom Yum. If you have pollen allergy like me and your nose is often stuffy, order their killer Green Curry Fried Rice or blazingly hot Fiery Fish or Steamed Fish in Lemon Flavor. Daaaaaaaaaaamn I love my local Thai Kitchen! In fact, I literally just ordered the Vegetable and Tofu Red Curry dish and will be enjoying it via take out in less than thirty minutes! I am so excited. This restaurant may not look like much, but it's like Han Solo's Millennium Falcon: dingy and beat up on the outside, but impressive and a force to be reckoned with on the inside. I have to say that the some what dumpy interior is what I like about it. Who wants to go somewhere local that looks like the generic P.F Chang's or Pei Wei? The waiters and waitresses are all Asian too...so that gives it some sense of authenticity. Whether they are actually Thai...I am not sure. But they're nice, speedy, and attentive. As a vegetarian I am in-love with this place! I always get a different entree whenever I come here, but I always get the Tom Ka soup. I love that it's not sweet, and errs on the sour side. On my last visit, however, I found an entree I really liked that I'll probably get every time I go here. Pepper pork. I love their pepper pork dish. Idk what it is about it, but I love it. This place was a perfect late night spot. We couldn't be happier to stroll in at 10:30pm, famished and exhausted, and know it was still open. The restaurant was quite busy, and we were luckily seated right away. After slumping into our chairs, and making an effort to order with the last ounce of energy left in us, the girls ordered their usual: green seafood curry, chicken pad thai and chicken and vegetable fried rice. Again, we lucked out, and the orders came in blazingly fast (almost too fast), but we were too tired to take it to too much observation. I wish I could offer Thai Kitchen 3 and a half stars, but if I had to pick, I can't quite go up to a 4 rating. The staff were nice, the service was quick, the price was great (I think we paid about $30 for 3 dishes and a soft drink), and of course the hours as others mentioned were fantastic, but the food was okay. The pad thai was edible, and so was the green curry, but nothing to write home about. At the speed the food came out, it made me wonder if it was just a spice pack you could buy at the Asian food market. But, the fried rice was quite tasty, and a very welcoming dish; we couldn't have wanted anything else better at the time we came in, and we were grateful for that. Would I come back? Maybe, if other options are just not feasible. They offer a good product at a good price at a good time, so I have to give them props for that. Do yourself a favor and go to Titaya's, Madam Mam's, is Sap's instead. We have given this restaurant 2 tries and both times they have surprised us with disappointment beyond our wildest dreams. The first time we went, we ordered their specialty dinner dishes, which they managed to royally screw up. The veggies tasted rancid. Tonight, we ordered the most basic of Thai dishes - pad Thai and pad kee mao, with the expectations that these are dishes a restaurant could not cook incorrectly. Well, we were wrong. They informed us that our pad kee mao was cooked with the wrong meat, so they were re-cooking it, which added to our wait time. When we received it, it was still cooked with the wrong meat, even though we confirmed with them that we wanted pork. Our pad thai does not have sauce on it. I've been to Thai Kitchen before several times and had good experiences. Their soups are fabulous. Their Pad Thai dish is kinda sweet but still good. But today I had a less-than-favorable meal. I had a hankering for a spicy noodle dish, not a soup. I picked something that sounded appetizing -- noodles, sriracha (a pepper next to the menu item denoting spicy status), chicken, egg, hmmm! It arrived quickly as a gelatinous mass of pale pink noodle. The chicken, though cooked, was still cold (reheated from refrigerated or frozen). The dish wasn't spicy as all, so I coated it with squirts of the table sriracha. The noodles tasted like HEINZ TOMATO KETCHUP. I was so hungry that I ate it. And it was New Year's so I tipped my usual amount. But now I see that I did no one any favors for eating the food without complaint and tipping so well. Ketchup on Thai noodles is a travesty. The menu is pretty lengthy so I had trouble deciding on what to get lol I ordered the Gand Gar Lee Gai which is chicken in a yellow coconut milk curry with potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, jalapeños, and onions. It was delicious. The sauce was as creamy as I was expecting it to be, but I was still satisfied. Next time I'm trying something from the spicy food section. Not saying any of these places are downright bad, but they're not what I'm looking for in Thai food. My friend got the pad thai, which is actually kind of unique because they use a white sauce instead of the normal red/brown sauce one is used to seeing. Tastes about the same as a normal pad thai, but a tad more lime-ier. I got the pad see ew/pad zee ew, which is what I like to get usually at Thai places. It was mediocre, ad for the price, I think I would rather suck it up and go to Madam Mam's and pay a little more for a larger portion.
