5/5 for the pork belly dish, but 3/5 for pad see ew. We thought the pork belly krapow stole the show! It was full of flavor. Perfect blend of sweet and savory. Pork belly was crispy and saucy enough without being too overwhelming. The basil was fragrant and the dish definitely wouldn't be complete without it. The pad see ew, however, was a bit of a let-down :( I was expecting it to be just as flavorful as the pork belly dish but it was quite bland and noodles were overcooked. I would come back to try their other dishes but probably not the pad see ew again. It took a bit long to make our food but that didn't bother us. This is overall still a good and solid option for some delicious thai food. It is located near other food trucks/coffee. Pet friendly since it's outdoor.

Not really a fan of this Thai food truck. Located in south austin, my husband and I checked this out after ACL. It's around bunch of other food trucks that are open during the day. There are many picnic benches to enjoy your food. Sukjai offers a variety of dishes from rices, to curries, to noodles. I tried the pad see ew and the green curry. The pad see ew was purely made with soy sauce but had great spice. The green curry lacked in flavor but had ton of veggies. Overall - not a fan of their Thai food but great service.

PAD THAI good food, good people, their Thai tea and coffee were a bit toooooo sweet so maybe I'd opt out of that, but the noodles are splendid! Not captured but I've also ordered their fish, was delicious.

I usually don't walk up without checking Yelp first but I had a good feeling about Sukjai. Typical Thai restaurant fare, with lots of options. I ordered the Pad Phak. The lady was super nice, and it's quite delicious! Heavy on the peppers but it's got a nice garlic sauce and the chicken is tender. Just a heads up though I asked for 2 stars and we've got some heat!! So maybe go one less than usual. Attaching my progress shot (sorry too hungry!)

The Thai tea was a standout--sweet, creamy, and the perfect pairing with the meal. The curries were rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The khao soi was especially delicious with bold, comforting flavors and a depth that kept me going back for more. The drunken noodles were also very tasty--great texture, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being overly heavy. Service was great, food came out fresh, and the overall experience made this an easy recommendation. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving flavorful Thai food.

We came early, just before they opened and there was several customers waiting also which can kind of give the hint that you're at a good place. And indeed it was. I got their Pad Thai, a dish I don't often get as I often got the route of Drunken Noodles but I wanted to revisit Pad Thai so that was the direction I took foe this meal. It was very, very good ! The ingredients were fresh, the sauce and noodles were great! It was a decent sized meal which I appreciated as we had a very busy day ahead of us with shopping and being tourists and this meal was one of virtually all of the meals in Austin to be great to outstanding!

The menu is pretty extensive too, so it was easy for everyone to find something they were excited about. I had the Tum Tad salad, which was super fresh and flavorful with a nice balance of tangy and savory. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was a standout. It was made with a black rice that actually looked kind of blue, which made it really visually fun. Not totally sure if there was some ube mixed in or just the natural color, but either way it was delicious and a little different from the usual version.

The restaurant itself has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. It seems like a nice place to have a meal. As for the food, we ordered: Pad thai with chicken, mild spice - unfortunately this was a bit dry for me, though the taste was good. Pad see ew with chicken - I liked their version and would probably get it again. Pad woon sen with pork - typically my favorite noodle dish and I think they did a good job. Garden roll - good but not as packed as others I've had, and at a higher price point. Pineapple fried rice with pork - I liked this but was a bit on the oily side. Tom kha soup - I thought this was very good and had a decent amount of chicken and mushrooms Overall I liked everything but some items I felt I had better versions of elsewhere. It's also on the pricier side. Still, if in central Austin I think it's a solid choice for Thai food.

So when I found out they opened a brick-and-mortar location, I knew I had to come back. I re-ordered their Killer Noodles and loved how they kept that fun food truck feel in the presentation. It felt playful, quirky, and true to their roots. Their soft shell crab curry dish was also really impressive. It was a bit too spicy for me, but the flavors were bold, layered, and explosive in the best way. Based on what we tried, I have no doubt the rest of their menu is just as delicious. Definitely a fun spot to check out if you're looking for bold Thai flavors in Austin.

Would recommend highly! - Beef Dang Curry (8/10): Spicy and great flavored curry. The beef was tender, and it paired well with the potato. - Shrimp Pad Thai (9/10): Good amount of shrimp, and the noodles are amazing. Chili flakes did not add any spice. Very yummy overall. Service: Semi-hard to grab waitress' attention to get boxes for leftovers. They started cleaning the table while we sat there. Okay service, but could be better, Ambiance: Came here for dinner, and they seated us in the middle, where there was no AC running. Dark ambiance and busy atmosphere. Took about 30 minutes for 2 people to get seated! Very loud inside.
