    Red curry
    Nida A.

Ordered the red curry and was HIGHLY disappointed. The sauce was broken and the curry was inedible. And I tried to buy water but it was sold out in their system. And even though they had water bottles available they wouldn't give them to me. This was the one time I can safely say their service and food was both a huge disappointment. They also did not give any napkins with the order and there weren't any around the counter to grab.

Great food truck thai on the east side, located in the food truck park on 12th. I tried the Thai Kra Pow (when ordering online, they had a deal that included a free drink) and Pad See Ew, both very delicious, and great serving sizes. Very nice people work at the truck as well. You can eat at the picnic tables in the food park or order online/take food to go. Will definitely be adding this place to my go to Thai roster!

Unfortunately, this Thai spot was a disappointment for me. The massamun curry was the biggest letdown as it wasn't creamy or nutty like it should be. The broth was thin and watery, lacking the rich sweetness you expect from a proper massamun. Even the beef wasn't tender enough. The pad ka prao didn't fare much better. It lacked the sweet savory umami flavor that makes the dish so good, and overall tasted very average. Even the Thai iced tea was watered down, missing that milky richness and bold Thai tea flavor I was hoping for :( I did order through Uber Eats, so maybe that affected the quality, but overall it just wasn't a good experience for me.

I got one of their specials that came with rice, spicy basil ground chicken, and an egg and it was delicious!!! Perfectly seasoned and spicy and high protein!!

Ordered my food online and the food was made pretty quickly. The location has several other food trucks surrounding picnic tables. I did wait for a few minutes for the male worker to acknowledge me as he was looking down at his phone for a while. I received my food and the food itself was actually good and moist until..... I saw a piece of gray and black hair in my food. I called the restaurant back and told them about the hair since I was already back at work. The male worker I mentioned earlier answered the phone and I asked for a refund. He told me he had to see the hair to issue me a refund, so I took the food back and showed the hair. A female worker apologized. I presume she made the food, but she didn't have a hair net on. I can say the food was good until I discovered the hair.

If you're looking for a quick, flavorful, and filling meal, look no further than the real thai food truck. Set in a lot with a few other trucks, this place serves large portions and the best pad thai I've had in years. Their thai coffee was equally delicious There is free parking available by the food trucks as well

Absolutely amazing! The pad Thai was simply the best! Great customer service too! Food: every bite of the pad Thai with beef and chicken was outstanding. I went with hot and the flavor was so good. It's hard to find good pad Thai anywhere these days because everyone thinks they can make it but not everyone can make an amazing pad Thai. They're serving up some of the best pad thai I've ever had. The Chinese eggrolls were good too. I will definitely come back and try more items off their menu. Very friendly customer service. I placed the order over the phone and I showed up and my order was ready to go. Definitely stop by if you're in the area and give them a try.

I love that you can online order so its ready to pick up. They are close to my job and it makes life easy when you only have 30 min. My coworkers ordered with me this time so I was able to try different things real thai kra pow- the ground meat had a ton of flavor. coworker got it thai hot and while it was hot, i've had hotter pad woon sen- loved the glass noodles, the meal was light and while it was medium hot, there was not heat. basil fried rice- loved the thai basil flavor through out we all said they were good in their own way and could not pick a favorite.

Tried out Real Thai Food at the same food truck park as Cuantos Tacos and Cachitos 512 (both phenomenal, by the way), and it was a solid experience overall. The guy who took my order was super friendly, and the food came out quick and hot. I ordered the special (forget the exact name), and while it tasted great--really flavorful, well-spiced ground beef over rice--I was expecting a bit more. No veggies, no sauce, nothing else in the bowl, which felt a little underwhelming for something labeled a "special." That said, the beef itself was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. It's tough competition being parked next to Cuantos and Cachitos, so I can't give it quite as high a rating, but still definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Great service, tasty food--just would love to see a bit more variety in the dishes.

My husband and I decided to stop by the Arbor Food Park while out on our E-bike ride. They have multiple Food Trucks with different types of food. After eating lunch there we decided to go to Real Thai Food and bring home some Chicken Fried Rice to have for dinner later. My husband walked up and placed our to go order. After waiting for less than 10 minutes we got our food and continued on our ride. For dinner I warmed up our Chicken Fried Rice and made myself a bowl. The Fried Rice was good. It had flavor spread out within the rice. I could taste the pineapple, onion, chicken, and some other veggies that were included in the Fried rice. The combination of the ingredients is what gave the rice its flavor. Overall it's a good meal with enough food to feed two people. The outdoor atmosphere was cool and the Fried Rice was good.

Came to this food truck court for dinner the other night and I ended up trying out this thai truck. I ordered the pad see ew and service was great! My food was ready very fast and it came out nice and hot. I really enjoyed the meal and how simple the dish was, my only complaint was that some of the noodles were very hard and I wasn't sure why. It kinda took away from the dish a bit when I would get a bad hard bite but overall the flavor was great.

The best ever that's all I have to say.

Amazing!!!!!!!! My absolutely favorite place to eat at!!! Hot fresh made food never fails me !

We came on the 4th to get that traditional BBQ However, this place caught our eyes, our belles askew. So over we walked, and were welcomed by Nate! Both the service and food were oh so great! Can't wait to go back and order everything they got. Lesson today, plans turn out better than you thought Thanks Nate'bro

After landing in San Antonio yesterday to kick off my summer vacation, the very first thing I did…read moretoday was ask my friend to bring me back to this restaurant. The reason is simple: we ate here two years ago, and it left such a great impression on us that we had been looking forward to coming back ever since. Fortunately, not much has changed in terms of either the quality or the overall presentation of the food. Everything is still delicious, especially the Pho Combo. To be honest, it's far better than most of the pho we've had in Germany. That doesn't mean the pho in Germany is bad--it simply means this place matches my personal taste much better. As for the downsides, they're almost exactly the same as before. Parking is still a major challenge, and I understand that's probably not something the restaurant can easily fix. We also tried calling ahead to reserve a table, but they don't take reservations, whether you're coming with a group of 5-7 people or just 2-3 people. We arrived at 6:45 PM and still had to wait about 40 minutes before being seated, which was honestly quite inconvenient. Coincidentally, there was live music tonight, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, the sound system wasn't very good, so it was difficult to hear what the singers were performing. Then again, this isn't really the type of venue where people come specifically to enjoy live music, so most diners didn't seem to pay much attention to it. One thing I did notice was that either the kitchen has made a few changes over the past two years, or perhaps my own taste has changed a little. The food felt slightly saltier than I remembered, and the pho broth was richer and creamier. While that added some depth of flavor, it was a bit too rich for my liking, to the point where finishing the entire bowl of broth felt a little overwhelming. The braised short ribs were incredibly tender--so tender that a knife was almost unnecessary, and they could easily be pulled apart with just a fork. While many people would probably see that as a positive, I actually missed the slightly firmer, meatier texture I remembered from my last visit. That said, these are relatively minor issues. The quality may have dipped just a little compared to our previous visit, but this is still an excellent restaurant. If they can fine-tune those small details, it would easily return to being one of my favorite places. There's a good chance we'll stop by one more time before heading back to Germany.

Is it that time of year for another 1618 update? Absolutely…read more After my umpteenth visit, I think it's safe to say I've worked my way through almost the entire menu (minus a few noodle, chicken & vegetarian dishes). My 2025 review still stands, but after so many visits, I've noticed a few items haven't been good as they used to, particularly the chicken wings (and yes, all three of them). The Garlic Wings haven't been hitting quite the same. They've started to taste a little dry, and the saucier wings taste better the next day since they don't have time to steep through once served. The Filet Mignon Pepper Steak is still my favorite dish on the menu, but I still can't justify ordering it family-style anymore. It's delicious, but the portion just doesn't match the price. One of the newest additions--the Truffle Fried Rice is spectacular. It's light, not overpowering with truffle, and the fish eggs really adds the perfect little pop of texture/flavor. I don't think I breathed the entire time I scarfed it down!! 1618 is still one of my favorite restaurants in Austin of all time, but I think it's time for the menu to elevate a bit and dive deeper into less mainstream Asian cuisine. If anyone can do it, 1618 can.

The restaurant itself has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. It seems like a nice place to have a meal. As for the food, we ordered: Pad thai with chicken, mild spice - unfortunately this was a bit dry for me, though the taste was good. Pad see ew with chicken - I liked their version and would probably get it again. Pad woon sen with pork - typically my favorite noodle dish and I think they did a good job. Garden roll - good but not as packed as others I've had, and at a higher price point. Pineapple fried rice with pork - I liked this but was a bit on the oily side. Tom kha soup - I thought this was very good and had a decent amount of chicken and mushrooms Overall I liked everything but some items I felt I had better versions of elsewhere. It's also on the pricier side. Still, if in central Austin I think it's a solid choice for Thai food.
