This truck is conveniently located in a lot with other food trucks. They have ton of options on their menu, which I loved! I ordered the lemongrass chicken plate. It was decent but I think the chicken portion fell short for me for the price. The Mac salad was also disappointing as it didn't seem to have much flavor. Caught an episode of Diners,  Drive-ins, and Dives of this food cart and really wanted their Stuffed Chicken Wings. However, was told they haven't made that dish at this location in a long time and maybe the Kihei location still did it. Ahh! Ordered the Fried Lemongrass Chicken, Garlic ahi, and Chicken Satay. Really enjoyed the fried chicken with lemongrass sauce to dip and the chicken satay. The lemongrass sauce was so good, we paid the 50 cents to get another small dish of sauce.  I do wish that the container of sauce that came with the order was bigger. I'm a dip every bite kind of person. This was the only food cart open at 10 am on a Sunday. Soon after got our food, a couple other vendors opened. Lots of tables under cover and hand washing stations. There are free range chickens walking the food pod. Happy to eat before our trip  to Costco. Would go back for the Chicken Satay and Fried Lemongrass Grass chicken. Ample parking and free range chickens to dodge. read more

This is my go to spot when I come to Maui. It's located in the food truck park by the Costco in Kahului. Everything that I've tried here is good. The fried ribs and garlic shrimp are my favorite. Friendly service and a nice place to sit and eat. Definitely a must try. read more

We ate out the entire week we stayed in Maui. Most of the places we ate in were expensive restaurants ($50 entrees) though this price point seemed pretty typical in Maui and is not even considered higher end. On our last day in Maui before going into the airport, we stopped by this food truck park. I am so glad we did because Thai Mee Up was so delicious! It is arguably the best meal we've had in Maui. I tried the pad thai- bursting with flavor. Noodles were cooked perfectly, soft and pliable, but not sticky. My only regret is that we didn't come here sooner! read more

The hype is real! We had the tofu pad Thai and veggie green curry. We customized the spice level 7 and it hit the spot as far our palette is concerned - spicy but not unnecessarily loaded with chillis. The balance of sweet and spice was just perfect!! This is located inside of a food truck lot so nothing much to say about the ambiance - they have some tables to sit but they get full pretty quick. Food trucks in Hawaii are built different -- and Thai Mee Up ended up being one of my favorite meals during my second vacation in Maui. Not sure if this food truck is always located near the Costco, but this is the place to go. My friends and I all got the shrimp dishes, and they did not disappoint. I think my favorite dish that I tried was the pad thai, which sounds basic, but trust me when I say it is so palatable. Not to mention, their thai tea is also flavorful. For some reason, there is more of a sweetness to it, but it is not overbearing at all. I think this is one of the few times I finished my meal while on vacation. Went here 3 times on my one week trip to Maui! I went to two locations, one in Kahului near the airport and the other in Kihei. Both were fantastic! We tried the lemongrass chicken, pad kee Mao (drunken noodles), cashew tofu, pad Thai, and panang curry. The lemongrass chicken was so flavorful and great hot and fresh! My favorites were the cashew tofu and the pad kee Mao. If you love spicy, make sure to get an 8 or above for the extra spice! It's so yummy and they make the food super quickly. The panang curry came out green (panang curry is usually orange) But still had a great coconut flavor. The pad Thai was great too. A little background.. I actually came across this place when I went to Geste Shrimp truck. So I didn't plan on ordering from here nor did I even hear about this place. This place is close to the airport and is surrounded by a few other food trucks. First thing that caught my attention was the name of this truck. I absolutely LOVE the name! It's quite hilarious if you ask me. Anyways... this caused me to look at the menu and in general, I'm a sucker for Thai food. So I had to try one of their dishes. The Lemongrass pork ribs caught my attention and they were so good!!! They're a little sweet but not too sweet. It comes with a side of rice and papaya salad on the side. The papaya salad was lacking in flavor but the ribs was what I was looking forward to. I would definitely try this place again ! read more

Not sure it's a staffing issue but a disaster tonight. We ordered at 705pm, and by 8pm when we realized that people in front of us hadn't received their food we went up to the window to see how much longer. One guy that was already 65 minutes in waiting time was talking to the guy in the pick up window. He was explaining to this poor guy that they lost his ticket and there was nothing they could do. I have a suggestion, how about make his food immediately. The poor guy looked shocked. We went over the order window and got a refund and went to the Paia Fish House, which we had never eaten at because of the constant long lines. At 830pm there wasn't a line so we went in. Fantastic meal at a crazy good value. No idea what happened at Thai Me Up, but I did notice they stopped taking orders at 730pm. I could only think that they were incredibly short staffed on the line and or very incompetent. No owners there to try and save the situation. I'd say there were still 2 dozen orders to get through and the staff just looked loss. As a restaurant owners, I actually own 5, this is an owners nightmare. This food truck market area was a really fun find. Convenient parking, covered eating area, variety of food and a good vibe. The menu and price point were great. The two different prices reflected if you use cash or credit card, but I was thankful they take card because some others only took cash. I ultimately decided to get garlic shrimp upon the recommendation of the gal I ordered with. They were busy but food came out in a decent time, presentation was nice, appreciated that the container was mostly compostable, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly and had great flavor - not too oily, a hint of spice and all in all, just a nice dish! read more

I had the chicken fried rice, this was very typical of what fried rice tastes like at Thai places back home in Chicago. It was very hot, made to order, tasted good. Cost was $15.83 for this one dish, very comparable to other food trucks on the Island. This is food truck right across the street from Costco. I actually came to this food truck area for Geste Shrimp but Thai Mee Up constantly had a line of people ordering and seemed like the most popular truck there! I was full from Geste already but I had to get one thing from Thai Mee Up, just to see why it's so popular. I ordered the Fried Garlic Shrimp. Wow. So good. Really great flavors. The shrimp was fresh and fried to perfection! The combination of fried shrimp, onion, and rice was like heaven in my mouth. Even the presentation with the green leaf is great. The food took about 15min to be ready, which was pretty fast considering the amount of orders they were constantly churning out. I am extremely sad I found this place near the end of my Maui stay! Oh my this place is good. 4 stars for flavor, would be a 5th if the fried rice wasn't as soft/soggy. They gave out samples of the fried pork - holy. It was flavorful without being overbearing and not dry. I can see why it's a best seller. I ended up getting a box of shrimp fried rice for our trek to road to hana tomorrow. Upon first glance, the rice does look a bit soggy. But it makes up for it in flavor. The prices aren't bad $9-14ish and a box of food is sharable between two people. My parents don't like trying out new cuisines but they took one bite of the chicken pad thai and couldn't stop digging in! I have to say, it was pretty amazing for me too. On our recent trip to Maui, we stopped by Costco and saw these foodtrucks right across the street and had to stop by. Little did I know, this is exactly where I was trying to go. It was perfect timing and the perfect location. Our first order was the chicken pad thai but because it was so good, we came back another time a few days later and also tried the shrimp pad thai and the lemongrass fried chicken. This place is literally the best Thai food my husband and I have ever had! Wow! Wow! Wow! Yes, naturally you think, how good could Thai food really get? But you don't know until you try it. We were hesitant too but after seeing all the reviews, we tried it out and ordered the salmon and ahi tuna with garlic. WOW! The flavors blew us away and we loved that the vegetables weren't over cooked. They still tasted like the vegetables and had a good crunch to it. The portions of ahi tuna and salmon were also very generous and we were stuffed when we left. The place was so good, we went back for our last meal before our flight back home. It is an extremely long wait; however definitely worth it. We ordered the Panang curry with chicken and then the sautéed salmon. The curry unfortunately only had a few pieces of chicken, but the flavors were authentic and not one note. Next time we went, we got the drunken noodles and the fried pork. Hard pass on the pork - it was over cooked and rubbery. Nonetheless, one of the best Thai places we've eaten at. Fun fact, apparently one of the old chefs from Mama's Fish House owns this food truck and boy the taste does not disappoint. They sauté with hot woks and that's how the dishes get it's flavor! Came here from a recommendation from a friend who told me it was the best pad thai he ever had so I had to try! Located in the food truck court across from Costco, There's plenty of seating, and porta-potties with portable running water sinks outside to wash your hands. The food truck is the busiest one I would say. we ordered the shrimp pad thai with shrimp, the garlic ahi tuna, and they were both so good that I couldn't help but also order the pad see ew. The pad thai was super flavorful, the noddles were a bit on the wet side, but the shrimp tasted so fresh. The garlic ahi tuna was ok wasn't too special for me. The pad see ew was delicious too! Full of flavor and probably my favorite out of all three dishes. I would highly recommend getting this instead of the costco food court stuff unless you're in the mood for costco food. Landed in Maui today, we did the Costco run before checking in then hit a food truck just outside the parking lot. I have to admit, loading my car in the Costco lot the scent of something really good was permeating across the parking lot. The trucks are located right across the way. The smell of garlic and goodness took us to the truck lot. We had the grilled Garlic Ahi along with an order of Drunken Noodles. My picture has the Sirachi spread already, please excuse. The tuna was amazing! Garlic, cabbage and Chinese broccoli. We ordered chicken with our Drunken Noodles and they were equally amazing. From Vegas to Maui today and as we watch the sunset with a cocktail the Ahi and noodles are a point of our conversation. Small business here in Maui, worth a stop! read more

We'd heard great things about this truck so decided to stop. This food truck area across from Costco gas station is always busy. There are 2 parking lots one on each side. I like that it has a large covered area with lots of picnic tables to sit and enjoy your meal. We ordered the chicken pad ti-this truck usually has a long line but we were there after 2 and no line so we got our food pretty quickly. It was an OK size but a little smaller than I'd expected.
