Ordered the Tom Kha chicken coconut soup. It was so salty it was inedible. I brought it to the attention of two staff members at the food truck in the Maui gardens food truck Court. Both employees looked at me as if it was no big deal. One took it out of my hands and threw it away. No refund was offered. No compensation? No. Can we make you something else? They just looked at me like oh well. Too bad. It was horrible and I cannot believe this is a popular place. I eat thai food regularly all around the world and this had to be the worst Thai experience I've ever had. I will not be eating her again, Having read the manager's reply to me, I cannot in good conscience let it slide. I absolutely did not swear at any staff member. That is an offensive and blatant lie. I brought it to her attention that it was so salty it was inedible. She took it out of my hands and threw it away and said she'd pass on my complaint. She simply walked away. There was no additional conversation and I was polite and did not swear at her. I then, bewildered that there was no sense of urgency, approached the woman at the order window. I informed her, "FYI the Tom Kha soup was so salty I couldn't eat it." My tone was that of disappointment, not angry or aggressive in any way. I was simply disappointed. Her reply to me was, "I'm sorry". That was it. If she asked me to wait I certainly did not hear her. I went to the food truck next to them and ordered two chicken skewers and ate it with the rice that came with my Tom Kha. Funny part is I ate it at the picnic table directly in front of the order window at Thai mee up. It certainly wouldn't be hard to find me. While at the Food Trucks Kihei Food Oasis, I decided to try Thai Mee Up, and I'm so glad I did. Their menu is reasonably priced for Hawaii, and the salmon stir-fry I ordered was impressive. The portion was generous, with a substantial piece of salmon and deliciously flavored vegetables. By the end of my meal, I was happy and content. Service was always pleasant and accommodating to food preferences (I like extra cilantro). We had a special which was curry noodles with lobster tail, and loved it! The pad thai was okay - somehow it tasted too sour after squeezing lime on it, and I'm someone who never has enough limes for pad thai - but that special was where it was at! Would go there again for that. read more

My husband is thai and we always are wary of thai places but so happily surprised they made it right! We also got the pork ribs which were good but not my thing. We visited Thai Mee Up 4 times during our 5 night stay in Maui and it wasn't nearly enough. They have the best pad Thai I have ever had in my life and I am so incredibly sorry it is so far away. It is the most flavorful dish and none of the spots back home even compare. The staff was always very sweet and the food was served quickly. I wish I could bring this gem of a food truck over to GA because I'd easily eat there several times a week. I tried several other dishes and everything was honestly phenomenal. The South Maui Garden location was a fantastic lunch spot for a light, early afternoon lunch. The fried rice with chicken was excellent and fairly priced for a large serving! Service was quick and friendly and there were lots of shaded areas in the park to sit and enjoy lunch before we took time to browse the plants at the onsite nursery. So glad to see this addition to the food truck park at the north end of beautiful South Maui Garden. This trailer is huge, with plenty of room to prepare lots of tasty meals. The service is great, the preparation is quick and they even have an option to "dine in" at one of the picnic tables with a regular bowl and utensils. Apparently, the trailer is big enough for a dishwasher, too. I ordered the Fried Pork Ribs. This is boneless pork that's left to soak in a delicious marinade and then deep fried, leaving it bursting with flavor. Then, they add roasted garlic and served over a little cabbage. It comes with a little scoop of rice and a good helping of green papaya salad. The papaya has a great flavor and crunch, with a pretty good kick to it. It's nice to see more options in this food truck park and especially nice that Thai Mee Up has moved in. read more

I was so excited to check out this spot and they did not dissapoint! Chicken patty is one of my favorite dishes so that's exactly what I ordered and I asked for a little bit of spice and the guy at the window suggested a number three as far as the spice level. My food was ready in 10 minutes and I was able to get it to go. My husband and I sat outside of the restaurant and I tried my food which was amazing! I was looking at the menu and this kind staff member with the tattoos on his arms inside the food truck gave me some samples to try and recommended me to get the curry but I wasn't really feeling the curry today and got the drunken noodles with shrimp.
