I've eaten alot of Thai food having lived in Thailand for several years. This place has very authentic tastes in each of the 3 dishes we ordered. It was hot, fresh, and each ingredient was just like eating in some of my favorite restaurants in Chiang Mai. I highly recommend it for so many reasons. Small, yet quaint, nice and clean, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Din was exceptional at taking care of us and visiting with us as out of town guests. The serving portions were great however, we were disappointed about the taste. My order of the pad Thai was a 2/5 star spiciness but it was fairly bland and no "hot" spice that I added sriracha when I got home. Also, the amount of chicken was minimal. I felt like I paid $10+ for a box of noodles. The pad see ew had a good amount of chicken, noodles and veggies. The taste was flavorless. Came here late on a Saturday night to try out my usual Chicken Pad Thai and was pleasantly surprised that it was amazing here, with a large portion giving my the best value for my buck. It came out quick and the wait staff was excellent in their friendliness. The interior is relatively small and there were only a few tables, so it would be better for smaller groups. They are open late, so I was glad to be able to find a great Thai restaurant open at that time. Hope to be back soon. read more

Came in for lunch on Monday with some coworkers - I was the only one that ordered from the lunch menu. $8.50 for a small soup, small eggroll and Chicken Pad Thai with 2 star (3 star spicy was the max). Soup was meh.. eggroll is standard.. pad thai was deathly sweet. I could barely eat half the plate. My girlfriend ordered the Pad Kee Mao with fried tofu - she said it was good. Was charged $2.00 extra for the tofu. Other friend got a curry.. when it was brought to the table, the waitress said "sorry, I forgot to tell you it doesn't come with rice". Umm.. what kind of curry doesn't come with rice?! How do you eat a thai curry... without.. rice?! At least he said the flavor was good. I was craving a thai iced tea and had every intention of getting one at lunch UNTIL I saw the price... $6.00. SIX DOLLARS FOR A THAI ICED TEA?! I will not be returning. read more

This place is always empty every time I pass it - with good reason! The thai place that was here before was awful and this restaurant isn't any different. I guess this location is cursed. I ordered from here twice using Eat24. The first time I ordered crab fried rice, which didn't have too much flavor and the crab wasn't the best. Wouldn't bother getting. The second time I ordered pad Thai with chicken. When I got there, the hostess asked me to wait. After 10 more minutes, she approached me and informed me that she gave my order to another customer and they would have to make me another order. With a half hearted apology and no compensation for the extra 20 minutes I had to wait, I took my pad Thai back home, which wasn't very good. Just drowned with sauce and didn't have that good sweet-sour-spicy Thai flavor. With a dozen other Thai places within walking distance, walk past this place and go to another one. read more

Finally got a chance to visit Thai on 1, as it is around the corner of my condo. Ordered: -Thai Iced Tea: tad too sweet but good. -Deep Fried Tofu: plain, simple, good sauce. -Chicken Yellow Curry: good flavors, requested 3/3 spicy but was not that spicy. -Crab Fried Rice: Very good, need a tad bit of more salt/black pepper to enhance the dish. -Shrimp Pad Kee Mao: WOW! good flavors, lots of shrimps, veggies were amazing. -Black Rice pudding: need to be more hot and more coconut milk. -Deep Fried Banana w/ vanilla ice cream: good way to end every meal! Total: $59 Service was excellent, and a decent beverage menu as well. Portions are small compare to other Thai Restaurants but I will come back for sure, there are many things on the menu i need to try. I ordered regular fried rice with pork, and what came out was fried rice with pork and crab. Regular fried rice was $11 and crab fried rice was $13. I didn't want to be charged for crab fried rice so I let the waitress know. She did offer to make me a new one, but I didn't want to waste it. The fried rice was pretty weird probably because the pork was mixed in with the crab. When I got the bill, I saw that they charged me an extra $2 for the pork. I've never been to a Thai restaurant where standard protein didn't come with the dish. If I had ordered crab fried rice, would I have been charged extra? It doesn't make sense that crab fried rice is $13 and pork fried rice would be $13 as well. So with the discount, my fried rice still ended up being $11. The discount basically took off the $2 unnecessary protein charge. Not really a discount at all. Topped with the new owner grilling me about where I work and live, it was a confusing experience. I'm disappointed... Yummy Thai was fine because it was consistent. I'm hesitant to come back to Thai on 1 because I don't know what I'll encounter. read more

As someone who lives above this Thai place I'm SOOOO happy they moved in and took over the spot. Previously, there was a horrible Thai restaurant in this location, and while this new one used some of the pre-existing wall art it's far from it. The customer service was excellent and attentive but most of all the food was delicious. Ordered it 3 star hot and let me tell you it is like a 4 or a 5 star and this is coming from someone who puts hot sauce on everything and carries it in their purse . Papaya salad was flavorful and the dressing was spot on! Tart, tangy and on point! The salad wasn't super spicy and I ordered it 3 stars. Now the pad Thai was a large portion and very tasty but wow that thing was like a 5 star hot and I ordered a 3 to be safe! The pain was worth it though and it was so tasty.! I Would have given 5 star if pad Thai was just a little less spicy but overall tasty and large portions! Will definitely be back!!!!! But be careful of how hot you get things! But everything tasted very fresh, the pumpkin curry was comforting and delicious, and the guy who took my order was kind enough to point out to me that their spicy is actually spicy. The bad: You just don't get any real serving of meat, just a wee little bit. The Mongolian Beef - I think I had about four forkfulls and the rest was onion and sauce; same with Phad Thai, the Crack Chicken just a little pile of little pieces. This has been my go-to Thai spot once it opened up about a year and half back. I've only come in for take out, so I can't speak to the in-house dining, but overall my experiences have been pleasant. The food has been extremely flavorful and I could always count on my meal being packed and ready for pick up quickly. Things have obviously changed. Once the less than satisfactory food safety rating was ominously posted on their door, I've noticed a decline in the quality of service and food I've received. First off, the phone number on here is linked to a disconnected phone, so placing an order becomes an interesting challenge in itself. Sure you can attempt to enter information online, except that doesn't work on Sundays while the restaurant is open, for some unknown reason. Realistically your only option is to stop by and order in person, which really isn't a big deal- or so I thought. I put in my order and was surprised to see that I was never asked what spice level I wanted the food at-at that point I just assumed I was getting the average mild. The food spice level was small, but in the end I walked away with some really bland food. The highlight of the visit occurred while I sat waiting for my order. At that point I finally understood why the sign on the door featured a sad face. No I didn't get a look inside the kitchen, and I didn't see something as outlandish as a rodent running across the countertop, but what I did see was somewhat disturbing. Another customer walked in with their dog. Don't get me wrong, I'm a dog lover but this was gross. The dog looked unkempt, unwashed, and featured a massive dingleberry tangled into the hair on it's backside. The waitress on staff didn't bat an eye at the sight of an animal, who was clearly not a service dog, milling about the dining area next to the kitchen. I've worked in restaurants in the past and animals of any kind, aside from service animals, are a big no no. The mere fact that this kind of behavior is condoned in the restaurant raises some suspicion about what other food safety practices are being ignored. read more

The food here is pretty good, atmosphere is really nice and prices aren't too bad for Seattle but if you're looking for happy hour this is not your place, the happy hour is different on 3 different menus and the website shows a totally different happy hour menu than in the restaurant.
