Nice, spacious restaurant and had some great vibes from the very clear Thailand videos that were showing. Came for lunch and there was ample parking. Service to today was so-so. It started out very quick but as the meal went on we felt like we were waiting longer for the boxes and then for the check. Lunch specials had a good variety, but I went straight for the Chicken Satay. This was one of the first dishes at a Thai restaurant I ever had, which happens to be a Thai Original BBQ in LA off of Vermont. Verify nostalgic to me... and it hit the spot. Good amount of food for lunch and had a little extra to take home. My co worker order panang beef and it had a lot of meat! The curry was ok, a little oilier and not as creamy as I have had in other places. Will need to try other things on the menu next time. read more

I guess it's true what some say: it's never as good as the original. I've always loved their 3rd street/ Los Angeles location. I also got to try their Carson location which was almost just as good. This spot? Not so much. Cuzzo was dog sitting my fur baby and since he lives around here and I'm around the area (to pick the pup up), I figure I'd check them out. It was a phoned in-pick up order to take home. WINGS OF ANGEL: A must-have whenever I see this on the menu! (Not all Thai restaurants offer this.) Sadly, it was no bueno. It was mostly chicken, not so much stuffing. I felt like I just ate a boiled chicken that was battered and deep fried with no seasonings. It was really bland! I couldn't get through one. Kinda disappointing. CRAB FRIED RICE: If there were to be a next time, I'd ask them to skip the fillers: you know - tomatoes and cucumbers. Otherwise, this was decent. Main essence of crab was there, but felt like it's missing some kinda umph. It was good - I've just had better. CHICKEN CURRY: Hubbers warned it might be a tad bit spicy. Meh, I risked it and it wasn't too bad! Chicken was soft and tender, good level of curry and seasoning. I didn't have the chicken BBQ (just didn't have a taste for it), beef panang and drunk noodles (both for Hubbers and both too spicy for my taste.) The only issue he had was that the white parts of the BBQ chicken were very dry, otherwise, all good! FOOD: 3.5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 4. PARKING: Private lot shared with lotsa other spots. This location is placed in a shopping center. Parking gets tight but there is ample parking in the lots adjacent if need be. The venue isn't large so it does get crowded, but it's worth the wait in which there is seating outside. I hadn't been here in 30 years and couldn't believe it but I was so happy, that this place still didn't disappoint. I ordered my usual from back in the day Thai BBQ plate and wanted to try some Pad Thai to go. Service was quick and efficient. They don't accept Amex so be prepared, but cash app and Apple Pay are accepted. Still my favorite Thai place! read more

The flavors are authentic and on point, but definitely a bit more westernized than traditional Thai food that you'd find in Thai town. It definitely catered to the diverse patrons that filled the restaurant. Even after the lunch rush on Sunday afternoon, there was a constant stream of customers. Some even waited a bit outside for their tables. The small quaint dining was filled the entire two hours when we dined. Service was a bit hit or miss. They weren't attentive and didn't come to check in unless you flagged someone down for help. This is my all time fave Thai place where i used to frequent when i lived in the area 25 years ago. Coming tonight for dinner on a whim and it still hits the spot. First time trying the crispy duck and i was very pleased. The portions are huge so i'll have my leftovers for lunch at work tomorrow. My husband had the chicken bbq which i ordered a lot before and it still tastes delicious from when i first had it. Staff were nice and attentive, we were always checked on. Visiting around the area in Cerritos and decided to give this place a try. This felt like your traditional Thai restaurant, which definitely seemed pretty authentic! They had a wide variety of selections on their menu, but I was pretty set on the Panang curry. My bf got their Thai BBQ Chicken, which seemed to be highly praised! Service was pretty good, they were quite attentive when we needed to order and got our drinks fairly quickly. Our entrees did take awhile, but not upsettingly long. Once we got our dishes, the portions were rather hefty! It's definitely worth for the price. Trying out my panang curry, the overall flavors were really good! I really liked how the beef was very easy to fall apart. I think this is probably the best panang curry I had haha. My bf was a bit disappointed in his chicken though. He said it lacked flavor and didn't enjoy it as much as he liked it. He's also allergic to shrimp, so an additional $3 for substituting the shrimp fried rice was something he had to do. Been going to this place since I was a kid. It feels so nostalgic every time I visit. I always get the shrimp pad Thai and it never disappoints. Other items I enjoy are the Tom yum soup and the chicken bbq or satay. The service is fast and food comes out quick too. The restaurant is perfect for family dinners or for to-go orders. Dark meat is very juicy and the white meat was surprisingly juicy as well. It's a good amount of food for the price. It becomes more worth it as a lunch special since it will drop a dollar or two in price and they'll throw in the rice. One of my favorite Thai places for pad see eww. The pad see eww is absolutely delicious and the portion is huge! I love that they use regular broccoli instead of chinese broccoli. The regular broccoli absorbs all the flavor pad see eww sauce. I came her on a Sunday evening and the place was packed. We also ordered the chicken satay, it was good and I was surprised it wasn't dry like most places. Food came out quick, service can be slow with a full house, but definitely worth it. Have been coming here for years, and there has definitely been a change recently.. the lady said it's the same owner but the food has definitely changed. Our pad see ew had a burnt taste. Unfortunately the sauces no longer taste fresh. The cucumber salad with the chicken satay is very plain now. No chili's or red onion in it. The peanut sauce was different. The yellow curry was our favorite for its flavor and mix of chicken and veggies . Now they only serve the yellow curry with chicken , nothing else. Thai Original BBQ is one of those OG spots that never misses! Everytime I eat here I know it's going to be bussin bussin. This spot has never let me down for as long as I can remember. They are located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. On the outside, the restaurant appears to be on the smaller end, but inside they pack a lot of tables. Usually, wait times have ranged from 15 mins to an hour in my experiences. Definitely weekends during peak dinner hours have been the longest waits. For their menu, they are most known for their Thai style BBQ ribs. Everything I have tried from their menu has been amazing and I would recommend getting any of the dinner combos. Any type of meat with their shrimp fried rice and sweet and sour sauce is a killer combination! Overall, I could go on and on about how legit this spot is. All the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The food here is so bussin that I have contemplated multiple times asking the chefs for the recipes. Never again... We placed a phone order for pickup spent almost 60$ When we arrived to the restaurant to get our food, the whole place smelled FISHY We should've known better and just left. Anyways... When we got home with the order (My birthday dinner) The Combo Drunken Egg Noodles was dry spicy with no flavor... No shrimp and the steak was so tough. I did not eat my plate. So disappointed My boyfriend got the Rib dinner w/shrimp fried rice and it had one shrimp and the ribs were not fresh. If you want great service as far as friendliness, this is not the place for you. They are always busy, so the staff here do not chit chat or ask how you are doing. I will say the service from ordering to getting your food is always fast. You'll never have to wait long for that. We typically always order our favorites. I tend to be the most adventurous. I personally keep a pescatarian diet when eating out, and can happily say there's an abundance of options here! Our #1 go to is the shrimp fried rice, it's truly the best fried rice I've ever had. We easily go through an entire plate of it as a table. Some of the girls also got the thai tea this last time we visited, and absolutely loved it, saying it was the perfect balance. The girls also ordered a beef dish to eat along the other fried rice dish they ordered, and said it was delicious. Essentially, the food has never been a let down. Service is great, they seat you quickly (as long as your whole party is present) and routinely check in with the table. This is my go-to Thai place around the area. Whenever I stop by, there's always a lot of to-go orders on the side, so it seems like a lot of people get takeout here. I've been coming here since I was young and they've always had a good amount of dine-in and takeout. We do family style and we always get pad thai and sweet angel wings, along with spare ribs if we have enough people. This time I went with a larger group so we also go the the tom yum goong. The pad thai is perfect, slightly sweet and tangy and you can never go wrong with ordering pad thai. The sweet angel wings are stuffed chicken wings with shrimp, pork, and clear noodle. The sauce they pair it with is amazing, which contains onions, tomatoes, pineapples in a sweet and sour base. I also enjoy getting a thai tea to pair with my food. read more

Decided to try this as a new Thai place to go to and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious! We decided to order the chicken fried rice, beef curry and chicken curry as well as the beef satay. We wanted to try the chicken satay but unfortunately they ran out. We were very impressed with the food that was available though. The quantity if the food, AND QUALITY was great! Everything tasted traditional, warm and inviting and we will be coming back. The one thing I feel did not satisfy us entirely was that we did ask for everything we ordered to be extra spicy (seasoning wise) but when we received our food it simply had a lot of green jalapeno peppers added to it (with the rice for instance) which I expected more to be done, but maybe its to make sure food is not wasted or maybe the majority of customers preference. There was also no napkin containers, hot sauce or spice holders at the table to be able to add spice without having to ask for it. We also would recommend adding lime to the dishes because with thai food we always squeeze a lime above to give it an extra boost of flavor. Despite these minimal details, the service was friendly and helpful and we were checked on several times during our dining experience which we appreciated. For the price and the quality and quantity of the food, you cannot go wrong here. read more
