So disappointed. We've been ordering from this place for years. We got our order today and it was so disappointing. The eggrolls are now half the size they used to be and have bean noodles inside. There's like no veggies inside them. The pad ha prow had more veggies than chicken. The chicken is tiny shredded with big pieces of veggies. It tasted good but was a sad portion size. The basil fried rice had a small amount of chicken. Overall, we won't be returning.

This place is serving up some really good Thai Food. Stopped by for dinner on Wednesday night and had a really nice dinner with my wife. We stopped by at 5pm and got seated immediately. Our service was very kind and helpful and we placed our order within minutes of being seated. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Pineapple Fried Rice and the Cashew Nut with Chicken which was the STAR of the night. Absulotely great dish packed with flavor, a must if you are here. The pineapple fried rice was also amazing. Both dishes are a 10/10. The Pad See Ew was good but nothing great and would have to rate that dish a 7 out of 10. Overall, I would definitely come back again if I am in the area and craving Thai food. Make sure to check them out, defenitly worth checking them out. Thanks Thai Palace for the good dinner, till next time!

The restaurant is one of the more expensive options in SLO, super understandable considering that it's located downtown. The food was good and I would go again, but it wouldn't be my first pick amongst the cheaper options. They definitely have a higher quality and standards to their ingredients. ig: @cravingswithcat

I've been coming here since they opened, many years ago. This is the place with the arguably the best Tom Kha soup in town. A while back they changed the mushrooms to something I didn't prefer, so I stopped going there for a while. But they changed it back to the original type of mushroom I love. So, they won me back! Service is excellent, prices are good, and their mushrooms... priceless!

Went as a group of 5 for and everyone loved their dishes!!! Service was a little slow however we had a great time!

I paid 18.00$ for one small spring roll and 5 cream cheese wontons... I was expecting there to at least be two spring rolls and when I bit into the spring rolls they were sour and tasted very old and stale I'm not one to really complain i usually leave good reviews but this was a terrible experience.. mind you I was the only customer...

Pretty decent food and reasonably priced. The portion size is also generous for the price. My main complaints are: -They close at 9:00pm and we were seated 15 minutes past 8:00pm. They made us feel rushed. -They charged 3% extra for paying by a credit card without telling me. I had to deduct that from the tip

Super yummy! Great service loved the curry. Large and clean place. Bar and bathroom clean as well. Food came out quickly. Noodles is a generous portion.

One of our favorite restaurants. We catered from here for our grandma's 82nd birthday and it was a big hit. We came back for my birthday to celebrate this past summer.

Thai Tossed Noodles, I ate the shrimp and put some fried calamari from my friend's food into its place

Delicious food and very attention oriented, our table was wobbly and they fixed it with a piece of cardboard without us having to ask.

Thai Palace . Pad Thai Noodles. The ambience is absolutely amazing, peaceful and enjoyable. I had the privilege of having the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken and it was one of the best I have ever had! Every bite is full of flavor. I ordered it hot and it's a perfect spice. The noodles are fresh and delicious. The server and host were very polite and welcoming made me feel good to come in and enjoy eating here. This meal was 10/10. The portion can easily be shared by two. You won't be disappointed! Best in SLO.

I came here after shopped upstairs in Sephora, and they amazed me with the taste. I was greeted and seated right away when I walked in. I ordered the item from the season menu, which was the sweet chili fried fish. The fish was so crunchy sweet and tiny bit spicy, also soft and juicy inside, I love it! 10/10. The shrimp was good! Like 8/10, the sauce was the best thing ever. Will visit to try other dishes in the future.

She pointed to the menu on top of her head, which is right there above the cashier, but I was standing so far at the back of the line which was at least 50 feet away, that I could not read the stuff on the menu that was over her head. But the point is that she wasn't even nice about it and said OK fine I'll give you a menu. When I finally made my decision, I asked her if I needed it to be on the other line or the line that she was standing at and she retorted - please give me a minute. There was no kindness. There was no common courtesy, just a matter of fact approach to really, an out of towner, tourist, who's just trying to give her restaurant's food a shot. I'm just really shocked at the rudeness. I proceeded to order the flat Thai noodles with mung beans and chicken. It came. It was fresh. But honestly, it lacks any flavor. Sorry. It was a disappointment. I'm from South East Asia. I know what I'm talking about. I would be generous to give them a 3/5. Sorry. It's not very good food at all. Which means there's nothing to say about this place other than - step up your Thai food game. Or be nice at least.

My favorite is pad thai no matter where I go, but nowhere is like this place where EVERYTHING IS GOOD. I always compare their pad thai to everywhere else I go too. Can't forget their pad see ew, vegetables have a nice chew and beef easy to eat. The flavors are just right. You can also adjust spiciness! Just let them know how you like em! Not going to lie, their thai teas differ sometimes, but still good nevertheless. If you like it strong, this is it! I highly recommend the green thai tea, a bit sweet than the coffee and regular ones xP.

You order at the counter and are given a number. Since they weren't very busy, they brought the food to my table, which I appreciated. The prices were on the high side, though fairly typical for many Vietnamese restaurants in California. I ordered the pork platter with rice and fried egg rolls. The portion size was about right. The rice was fine--nothing particularly memorable. The pork was a generous serving and had visible grill marks, but it didn't seem freshly grilled. It appeared to have been grilled previously and then reheated. It was served hot, but the texture and presentation were not what I would expect from freshly grilled meat. Fresh off the grill would have made a noticeable difference. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but the filling was dry and fairly unremarkable. They weren't bad, but they weren't a standout item either. The plate also came with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and pickled carrot and radish. The cucumber was fine, while the pickled vegetables were a bit more sour than I prefer. The biggest surprise was the dipping sauce for the egg rolls. Instead of the typical Vietnamese dipping sauce, which is usually one of my favorite parts of the meal, this version had quite a bit of chili added and was much spicier than expected. Some people may enjoy that, but it wasn't what I was anticipating. Overall, the meal was good, but not memorable enough to justify going out of my way for it. The prices felt a little high given the fast-food atmosphere. If I happened to be in the area again, I might stop in and give it another try, but I wouldn't make a special trip to return.

TLDR: Don't let appearances fool you - this place has great food!…read more This review comes after trying many Thai restaurants in the area (10!) and ordering the same thing. Thairiffic hits my bay area food snob craving on every level. Ironically, this was the last of the Thai restaurants I tried, and for good reason. It looks dinky and drab from the outside. The name is a dad joke (which I love). Visiting on a random weekday evening, the place was close to empty. As far as appearances go, the place didn't give much to hope for. However, I was beyond pleasantly surprised after receiving my order for pad see ew + pad thai. There were three things immediately apparent that made Thairiffic stand out: 1. Unlike (almost) every other Thai place, Thairiffic honored my request for maximum spice. There is a definite kick for their "Thai hot" level. 2. Unlike (almost) every other Thai place, the Pad Thai had a balanced flavor profile. Other places DOUSE the pad thai in sugar - yuck. This was a Pad Thai with savoriness, saltiness, sweetness, sourness, and spice. Yum. 3. The pad see ew had a distinct wok hei + golden mountain sauce flavor. Nice! I will also say that the shrimp in the pad thai was decently flavorful - same with the beef in the pad see ew. This is in contrast to the often "secondhand slap on" approach to the meats/proteins that I've had at other Thai places. Lastly, the price point here is I think the lowest of all the Thai places I've tried. If I could, I'd give it another star for that alone! The pad kee mao was okay. I think I'll stick to the pad thai and pad see ew. There's a decently sized menu with many other options (eg kao soi) which I'm excited to try. Above all else, I'm happy to find a go-to Thai place that hits the spot in SLO!
