This place is fantastic when I want to get my Thai craving out the way. There are multiple Thai restaurants in Folsom, but I got to say that this is one of my favorite place to go for lunch. You know the place is legit when you actually have Thai cooks and servers. The place is located in a large shopping area near the hills of Folsom. Although the shopping center is big, parking near the location can be hard sometimes because the place is so popular to come for lunch. The restaurant itself is pretty big, with seating on both sides of the cashiers/drinks area. This place can get busy, and when I say busy, there's usually a wait time, but don't let that steer you away from coming here. The service is pretty good here, as the servers are attentive even when the place is packed to the windows. Food is also really good here. I don't usually eat spicy unless it's at home to where I can sweat and not be embarrassed but sometimes I will opt to eat the spicy food here. I usually aim for the spicy basil or the vege plate with chicken or pork. This time hat I went, I got the Thai fried rice with chicken and wish I could eat more of it. We called ahead. Told 20 min. We get here and are told to wait on a line outside for pickup. They don't call you when it's ready, you just wait on line and hope it's ready when you get to the front. 25 min after we get to the front (45 min after calling), we pay, they THEN put our order in. Now we had to wait for it to be made. The takeout system doesn't make any sense, and has made us wait around a bunch of other people waiting (which I didn't want to do with COVID19). This is my favorite place for lunch or dinner. Lots of vegan options or substitutions (pad Thai can be made vegan friendly if you ask for no egg or fish sauce). I always crave this place. I spend my money here even when I don't have a lot. I think this location is faster than EDH. Edit: I just read in other reviews they grow their own produce. That's super cool. Due to the current shut down of many businesses because of government imposed rules/law, they are still able to offer outside dining of which we were very grateful for. We were greeted, seated right away and provided ice cold water in their outdoor patio. Friendly, quick customer service both times Solid iron patio furniture to sit on, not some janky furniture. I mean the furniture is not going anywhere. LOL. The chairs are heavy, definitely requires two hands. No outdoor misters or fans so prepare yourselves, if it's hot out like it can be in the summertime in Folsom, dress accordingly and prepare to sweat a little. 1st visit :We were hungry so I forgot to take picture the first time around Good portions of food. We had the following: Pork Cashew Green Curry with Chicken Drunken Noodles with Chicken- great flavor but disappointed there was barely any noodles and it is a "noodle" dish. Go figure? Red Curry with Pork Pineapple Fried Rice (comes with Chicken and Shrimp)- was solid 2nd Visit: dark out, not much for outdoor lighting so pictures aren't great. We had the following: Drunken Noodles-more noodles the second time but really covered by abundant of cabbage, really again more veggies than noodles-good flavor still disappointed Red Curry with Pork Yellow Curry with Chicken Spicy Thai Rice with Chicken- very good, flavorful, spicy just like the name entails but not to the point where you can't taste anything but "heat" Pad Thai Noodles- good flavor, more noodles Everything tastes good. Their curries are all very tasty and they give fair amount of meat. I would just note that if you order their noodles dishes, don't expect much noodles or you may be disappointed like have been 2 out of 2 times. I love Thai food. Saw the 4 stars so we had to give this place a shot. Mind you, I'm from San Jose, so I'm not out here much. I was hoping to be wow'd. Instead, I was only mildly satisfied. We ordered Satay, Tom Yum, Spicy Eggplant, Green Curry Chicken, and Pad Thai. My wife and daughter also ordered Thai tea. Everything was pretty average, nothing really stood out. We didn't like the Pad Thai much, as the sauce and texture were different from what we're used to in San Jose. It was a little too sweet for us. We noticed most dishes were not very spicy, like in most Thai places. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just a little unusual. For example, I usually expect quite a kick from green curry and the tom yum. In this case, there wasn't really much of a kick. Mind you, I enjoyed it anyway. I think our favorite dish was the spicy eggplant with ground chicken. Again, no "wow" factor, but pretty good nonetheless. Lastly, the Thai Tea was served in a tall glass. Props for the large serving size. Most of the dishes, BTW, were pretty generous servings. Service was good. Environment was good. Space was larger than what I expected. All in all, I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't grossed out either. Outside of the Pad Thai, I wouldn't mind ordering the same set of dishes again. Since this place is 130+ miles from our home, I doubt we'll be back. Mind you, based on the reviews, I'm sure the Sac locals enjoy the food here. They probably like it less spicy and more sweet.. I've been going to Thai Paradise for years and the food, service, and ambiance never disappoint! I always regular their Thai Ice Tea, which after becoming dairy-free I have begun having with coconut milk. It's the perfect amount of sweet and strong and it's great having the dairy-free option that not many places offer. If you want to go with a classic their Pad-Thai is definitely great. However, I prefer the drunken noodles or red curry and pack a bit more of a punch. They are very food restriction friendly with many dairy-free, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan option! This visit I had the Thai tea, Thai coffee, eggplant prawn lunch plate, and mango sticky rice. They never go wrong with their lunch plate portions, usually sautéed in a tasty house garlic sauce. The soupy curries are average but well-made and satisfying. I highly recommend trying their delicious boat noodle soup. It is a nice contrast from Tom yum or pho, its Vietnamese counterpart, which are more common in the Sacramento southeast Asian restaurant scene. read more

This is my go to thai spot in Folsom. They're always kind to me despite the language barrier sometimes. I hate when places say 'spicy' and it's really not. BUT, if you ask them to make it spicy (Thai spicy) boyyy that will have you wishing you didn't. That is why I appreciate this place. I know they make their food taste closer to what the people like in the area but I know they're authentic if you ask for it. Must have is the green curry, papaya salad, and pad se-eiw. Hands down best Thai food in the area! We ordered take home on a rainy night and this place came highly recommended. Here's what we ordered: - pad Thai (the BEST!!) - pad see ew - red curry - green curry - fresh spring rolls - Thai basil (our least favorite) If there was something to be desired it was the spiciness level. This place is located in a convenient plaza in Folsom. I didn't stick around since I was on a bit of a time crunch, so I just got take-out. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and thai iced tea. I called ahead to order, but it still took a little while after arriving before my order was ready, so it could be a bit speedier there, but I guess that isn't so bad if you're dining in. They have a nice outdoor area to sit at if it's a nice day out, so I think I'd want to try that next time Anyway, the decor and ambiance in the restaurant was nice, and the staff was pleasant. The food was really good and served in generous portions - big enough that it lasted me two meals' worth. The thai iced tea was good, but I found it a bit small for the price. Thursday night and my friend was craving boat noodles. So I suggested Thai Paradise. Upon arrival we were created by a friendly employee who seated us immediately. The place was pretty busy; more than what we expected. After a few minutes of looking at the menu, a very nice woman took our orders. We ended up ordering potstickers, spicy beef fried rice, green curry, and boat noodle. The potstickers came out first and they were deliciously perfect. Then, not too long after the rest of the food arrived. The fried rice was good however I wish it was spicer and my curry was pretty good. My friend says the boat noodle was "okay" but it satisfied her craving for the time being. Overall, we were satisfied with our food and the service was great considering they were pretty busy. The employees were super friendly and parking was not an issue. We'll back again to try more things. read more

SO, I don't live out in Folsom. I've been coming out here for the past couple of months for 1 week spurts. Thank you to Yelp for leading me to this wonderful Thai place. Coming from Los Angeles, Ive had my share of thai food and i must say this place is up there in the ranks. I was surprised when I walked into this restaurant. The decorations and the chandeliers were a great surprise to see. You would not expect such a nice restaurant from the outside. Service- I thought the service of this restaurant was really good. Everyone was really polite and hospitable. Everyone there seemed to like their job. I noticed that the server were really taking their time with the customers. I also noticed that there were regulars there and the servers and the regulars called each other by their first names and were even asking about their families'. I thought that was really nice. Food- I ordered the silver noodle seafood salad. That was the best silver noodle salad I've ever had. The dressing was just right, not too lemony, had the right spice, and best off all was not over dressed like many that salads out there. The seafood that was included in the salad was really good and was not over cooked. They were also not stingy with the seafood portion either. I also ordered their thai ice tea which was super delish as well. And, they have free refills on the that ice tea!! Which is unheard of. But, you will have to ask fir the refill on this one. They will not just come around and ask you if you want a refill. For dessert I ordered their mango with sticky rice. This too was amazing. The rice was prepared well and the condensed milk topping that accompanied the dessert was made perfectly, not too sweet at all. My only complaint about this dish is the type of mango that they uses. The mango stick rice was served with a mexican mango instead of a manila mango. But all in all i enjoyed this dessert. I must at this place when it is in season. Parking- Since this restaurant is located in a shopping/strip like mall. there are a lot of parking spaces available. I hope you all try this place out.
