Ordered take out from this place after a long day in the park. We ordered shrimp pad Thai, red curry with chicken, and drunken noodles with chicken + 2 Thai iced teas....everything was so delicious! Honestly one of the best pad thais I've ever had. Not dry and had a perfect amount of sauce. Since this was take out, we didn't have traditional sit down service to get the full ambiance but the hostess who took our order over the phone and who gave us our order when we picked up was so nice and attentive. Some of them are closed for extended periods during winter. Because of this the remaining open places are always crowded. We had a less than stellar experience the previous day at Italian place we decided to try Thai thinking how can you screw up Thai food? We were wrong. Except for Yellow curry none of the dishes we ordered were even close to the worst Thai food we have tried. Soups were awful including raw onions in them. Pad Thai had some strange dry powdery substance probably ground peanut that was fine enough to make the whole dish dry and difficult swallow. I gagged twice trying to push it down my throat. Unfortunately you don't have many choices so you might be forced to go there but just go with a very very very low expectations. read more

After conquering Angels Landing earlier in the day, my buddy and I were starving and needed some comfort food. For us, that's something Asian, and being that Thai Sapa was the only game in town, we decided to give it a try despite the lower than average ratings for the area. Upon walking into the restaurant, we immediately noticed the complete lack of service and organization. Several people were in the waiting area with absolutely no attention, despite empty tables in the unused room to the left of the entrance. The staff routinely ignored the people queuing up. After what seemed like an eternity, we were finally seated, albeit pointlessly since the server continued to ignore the tables for long, DMV-like waiting periods. This gave my buddy and I to weigh our menu options. The menu here is confused at best, offering Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Indonesian, and some other fusions that can't be described. There aren't many options, and few of them share ingredients across cultural lines. Want a particular dish from a specific cuisine? It's a low-percentage shot at best. Jesus, take the wheel! We ordered the Tom Yum soup with Prawns, Pad Thai, and Yellow Curry with Chicken. We initially tried to order the Papaya Salad as well, but were told that they were out of papayas because they have to be purchased out of state, making the dish difficult to make...might be something they want to take off the confused menu. All of the dishes we ordered were so-so at best. The soup was lukewarm and had all kinds of vegetables in it that you normally wouldn't find, like broccoli (undercooked), celery, and bean spouts. It was also incredibly sweet. The Pad Thai had similar issues with sweetness. The Yellow Curry was served in a lunch special style, with accompanying salad and a scoop of rice, making a dish normally served family style difficult to do. It also had the undercooked broccoli and other veggies that don't belong in the curry. The salad and dressing it came with was a super strange pairing as well. Overall, the food was pretty bad here. Service was simply awful. There was no system to designate who served our table. As our table was getting cleared, one of the servers managed to toss the leftover salad dressing on me. What's more, the check can only be handled by OUR server, leading us to chase her down to get my credit card processed. The taste of all the food were bland, and the price was very expensive. We ordered the pho soup (1), panang(1), spring rolls(1), egg rolls (2), thai teas (4), and mango sticky rice (2). Our bill was $180+. The rolls took 1 hr to get delivered, meat for the pho was extra, panang and egg rolls were tasteless. We came for dinner, and started with the Tom Yum Soup. We were very disappointed with it - it tasted like the main ingredient in it was sweet chili sauce, and lacked that hot and sour taste that is characteristic of Tom Yum soup. Because it was too sweet, we wanted to make sure that the rest of the dishes we ordered would not be too sweet, so we told our waiter, who said he'd convey the message to the chefs. The drunken noodle had no flavor - it seemed to just be cooked with chili pepper flakes. The stir-fry was dry and a little bland too. The Thai beef salad was probably the only dish I liked. Going in to the restaurant, I knew that we probably were not going to get authentic Thai food. While the food looked good, I was still disappointed as our meal was overpriced and not the best. The food was not not the main reason why I gave this place 1 star though - the service was extremely slow and inconsiderate. After telling the waiter that we did not like the Tom Yum soup, he said that he'd ask his boss what he could do about it and get back to us, but he never did. Also, once we finished our meal, it took a while for our plates to be cleared, and even longer for us to get the check. Even after flagging down the waiter to ask for the bill, we literally waited another 15-20 minutes. Someone from our party finally left the table to inquire about the bill, and the waiter said he had forgotten. They had really limited options when it came to Thai cuisine. If you're looking for authentic Thai food, keep looking. It was overpriced for the portions. This is one of the best restaurants to sit down and eat when staying in Springdale. It is pricey just like all the other eateries in the area. What do you expect... you're in Zion! Lol. The only thing that tasted different and I didn't like was the Tom Yum soup. It was lacking that very sour, lemongrass flavor. Tom yum Kai had too much coconut milk. Other than that, their food is good. I'm from the L.A area and authentic Thai restaurants are everywhere. Thai cuisine is my favorite and I have to say, Thai Sapa does it right. If you visit Zion and stay in Springdale, your options for Asian food will be limited to two places: here and Bamboo Chinese. Coming from San Francisco and Orange County, where there's an abundance of quality Asian food, we came here with realistic and tempered expectations :) (and I suggest you do the same). We stuck with the staples and fairly popular dishes based on reviews and ordered the pad thai with chicken and thai coco. The portion size for the pad thai was good, and the dish was fairly solid. The thai coco was decent as well. As others have mentioned, the menu is a bit confusing and seems to have elements from Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Indian cuisine. This doesn't seem like the best place to venture out of your comfort zone, so your mileage may vary with other dishes. Special shoutout to our super friendly waiter Jaymes. The restaurant was clean and spacious yet not a large establishment. The waiter was kind, attentive, and happy. The food was delivered according to how we ordered it. Portions were fair. Prices were high, as expected in a tourist area. Our total came to about $85 for 4 main dishes and 1 drink. There was a mystery $5ish charge added to the final bill - it was not clear as to what that charge was (separate from taxes). The taste of the food was good but not excellent. Meat, vegetarian and vegan friendly. In short: Good food, great service, not too busy, clean establishment, overpriced like any restaurant in this town + a mystery fee. We were on our way to Zion's National Park and the place we wanted to go wasn't open until 4pm so we checked Yelp and found this place although the reviews were quite bad we still wanted to try it out. Food was horrible, one after the other. Service was bad as we rarely saw our waitress. They don't have WiFi and couldn't get signal on AT&T, Verizon, or Tmobile. We were in a dead spot. Also the only ones in the restaurant at noon time was a bad sign seeing how many people were traveling through the town. We spent our weekend in Zion and after hiking Narrows we wer famished!! Hopped on bus which deopped us to this place and it was the best thing that could happen after so much of workout!!! ;) We had indian samosas as appetizer, my husband went for fried rice with chicken as protein and I had fusion thaijitas that came with nice tender chicken on sizzlers!! We went to this restaurant after leaving Zion National Park. We walked in and a waitress asked us if we are Dinning in or taking the food to go. We told her that we are Dinning in. She said that she to check. We weren't sure what she needed to check on because the restaurant was not that busy. Then another lady came in and asked the same question and we told her that we like to dine in. She said that we needed to wait 30 minutes for a table. I told her that I see several tables are empty, can't we just set on one of them. She got upset and became very rude and told us that there are empty tables but no one to service us. Based on the previous Yelp reviews, I was hesitant to eat here, but the front desk worker at our hotel recommended it. I think Yelpers were right - this is pretty mediocre Thai food, but a serviceable place to eat if you're visiting Zion (why else would you be here?). The Pad Thai was oddly flavored and strangely orange - perhaps intentional to mirror the beautiful red rock of the region. My son loves Pad See Ew, but they don't have it, so he tried the Bach Sio Noodle dish - it was okay, but he wouldn't order it again. I had the Thai Coco, which was sort of like a bowl of Thom Khama Gai soup to eat with white rice. It was okay, but why not just get soup for 1/3 the price? I'm sure they're limited by ingredients that they're able to get from here, and since we came during low season (early December) purchasing the right amount of ingredients is probably difficult to gauge. We came at a random 4-5pm hour and were so glad they were open. We split a pad thai with some coconut shrimp and a Thai milk tea, but it's far from premium Thai food. The pad thai was too sweet, incredibly orange, and had close to zero vegetables. It didn't feel fresh, and was incredibly heavy with noodles that clumped together. The star was the coconut shrimp - hard to go wrong with a lightly fried dish like this. Thai milk tea was fine as well.
