It wasn't the best, but only based off flavor. I like another Natomas Thai place much better.

Been coming here for years but SOMETHING HAS CHANGED. They're no longer good. Had pad Thai and mango curry and we did not finish them. WTH!!

The location is good. It's smacked in between Walmart and Target and a ton of other shops/restaurants. This parking lot in particular is difficult to find parking during the day because Chipotle, Chile's, and the Xfinity seem to take most of the parking. Their service is great! They were quick to great and seat us. Our server was friendly and extremely fast. The ambiance is nice. It's rather dark at night from the outside, almost gives the impression they are closed. Inside it's nice, decently sized dining area. The music is a mix of pop and alternative. Thai Spoon is open relatively late for Natomas dining which is a huge plus. The complimentary water comes with lemon slices in it, that's a fresh idea that you don't see too often. If they go above and beyond the call of duty to do things like this YOU ALREADY KNOW the food about to slap. Historically, I have been an avid Thai food hater but my wife forced me to come eat here and it changed my entire perspective on the food genre. I can with confidence say that this is a 5 star establishment on the flavor alone. The vegetarian avocado yellow curry was quite possibly the most eye opening meal I have ever had. My chakra opened up and I can now add this flavor to my palate. It was just the right amount of spicy to make it enjoyable but not too much. And this is coming from a spice weakling like myself. You might be thinking, cooked avocado?? But man oh man was it amazing. The potatoes were pure bliss. I truly have no words to describe it, you just have to come here and try it for yourself. The prices are great! You can leave here under $30 for a meal for two very full. The portions are generous, you will not leave on an empty stomach. Bottom Line/TLDR: amazing flavor and even better prices read more

The ambiance and service was amazing. It's a cute little restaurant that definitely leans more towards the intimate side. Ordered the fried shrimp (appetizer) and it was pretty good. Crunchy, fresh, perfectly battered. 5/5 The Pad Thai .. :/ I was expecting better based off reviews. Maybe the chef had an off day or something but there was way tooo much tamarind. I mean I don't mind tamarind but to have that be the only flavor I can taste, it was just way too overpowering. Overall the Pad Thai is what dragged my rating down but I would definitely be willing to try the other items on the menu. read more

The boat noodle was good, warm and enough flavor where all I needed to add was the spicy sauce. The Beef Larb was on the salty and sour side. I would give it 5/10. Pretty good thai except for the pad thai! Tofu pad thai - noodles too thin, not very flavorful. Skip it.. or ask for some extra chili oil or something Green curry - this had good flavor and was a good amount. Doesn't come with rice which is pretty bogus. We made our own rice at home. Thai basil fried rice - also good flavor and I recommend. Added some of this to the green curry as well. It's a good quick place if you live in Natomas. Hope to try a few others in the area. Still need to find a place with good pad thai though, because this ain't it! read more

I ordered 4 different items for to go. Got there not ready and only two ready. Understandable since they have people ordered in dine in too. So just got my Som tum papaya salad and Chicken pad se ew. Chicken pad sew ew tastes OK. The only reason to come is here is for papaya salad but today I'm Extremely disappointed with my order. Papaya salad is half of the regular portion. I came here few weeks ago and it's good. Now came back again drive half hour only to get food here but to find the portions only half now. Not only that, I ordered papaya salad medium spicy end up not spicy at all and tastes bland. Wish I could get my money back and return the food. Wasted the trip. Probably won't be back anymore. Not worth the drive. This place is always my favorite but now I will say goodbye and try different Thai places. read more

I see this restaurant often in Door Dash / Uber Eats I believe, and finally had the chance to try it in person while I was in town. WOW. Does not disappoint! I've lately been into Pad Thai so I've been ordering from assorted Thai restaurants in Sacramento, Thai Spoon probably has my favorite right now! The combination of fresh ingredients, perfect flavor, and the right amount of spice is amazing. And, finally having it fresh out of the kitchen was truly a delicious experience. I'm now disappointed that I was on a time crunch and could not order a whole spread, but I'm looking forward to returning and running that order back. Food temp was very hot which is the best part of any meal for us, the hotter the better. Flavor of food was bland until we added soy sauce and the flavor bounced back. Quantity was nice. We had a lovely take out dinner from Thai Spoon. Delicious Pad Kee Mao, Tom yum soup, and the Thai dumplings were very good - it was our first time trying Thai dumplings. We also ordered the fresh rolls, served with delicious peanut sauce, which was included. Very tasty, excellently prepared, flavorful and spicy! I called in our order at around 6pm on a Friday and they said the wait time for pick up was about 40 minutes, which worked well for us. It seemed like the wait time for dining in was just as long. I will never eat here again! A few months ago a friend of mine wanted to meet at this location, the customer service was horrible but the food was great. I thought I'd give it another opportunity today on Mother's Day and it was the same thing! I walked in wasn't greeted, I had to be asked to be seated and the table the server tried to sit me at was dirty. I ask him to clean it for me and he told me he was busy because they had a lot of people and he couldn't clean it! I told him I'm a customer and the table is dirty! I realized he had no business interest in helping me so, so I walked out! I have a very large network I will let them know NOT to eat here! Their website is user friendly, easy to navigate, and you pay as soon as you order. Wait time was about 25 minutes for our food and it was ready for pick up on time. We ordered the Pad See Ew with Chicken, Crab Fried Rice, Mango Curry with Prawns, and Tom Yum Soup with Chicken. - The texture of the noodles in the Pad See Ew were perfect and tasty. Less chicken in it than I hoped, but still good. - The Crab Fried Rice was a nice change to my usual Pineapple Fried Rice and was cooked well. - I was worried the Mango Curry would be not worth the slightly higher price, but it turned out to be very flavorful and they definitely didn't skimp out on the prawns. - Tom Yum Soup is my go to and always good. I feel like you'd have to try hard to mess it up. Everything was delicious. It's also nice to see they have plenty of vegetarian options. I'm willing to come back to try more on the menu! read more

I ordered the Thai Chow Mein with beef (extra $1 for beef), and asked for extra spicy. The noodles were pretty good; I enjoyed it. You can actually taste a bit of the spiciness. It seemed like the veggies and meat were placed on the side, and then the noodles were placed on top, instead of everything being cooked and stir-fried and all mixed together. With the pandemic and lockdown in place, you're still not able to sit inside restaurants. I ordered the food over the phone and the order was ready to be picked up on time. When you open their door, you're immediately greeted by someone and you cannot walk in. The restaurant took extra precautions by creating a makeshift window to pick up your meal. We ordered a bunch of food and the family absolutely loved everything! I typically stick with my usual Pad Thai dish, I saw great Yelp reviews of their red curry. So happy I ordered this, but wished it came with rice or some sort of substance to offset the curry. Even so, the chicken red curry is amazing! I also ordered the mango sticky rice and this had just a slight touch of sweetness and it was so darn delicious! This is a must try if you're in the Natomas area for food. Of the few thai food restaurants I've tried in Natomas, this is one of the better ones. I ordered a drunken noodle - flavorful, filling, but a bit on the oily side, hence one star short. Their golden bags is a cute appetizer snack - it's filled with pork; comes with a side of sweet & sour sauce or citrusy cucumber sauce (which I prefer). Price is decent for the portion. This is one of my favorite spots for Thai food. Everything about it is consistent - friendly service, good food, reasonable time to get served. You can dial the spice level up or down. I usually order the yellow curry with chicken and I'm sensitive to spice do I ask for it to be mild and they always find that magic spot where it isn't too spicy but still has gorgeous flavor. Employees eagerly take your order and are super friendly as all small businesses are struggling right now. The orders came with large portions considering it is take out, and was made fresh. I ordered the Thai orange chicken, beef drunken noodle, and chicken pad Thai=~$45 . Due to the meat pricing hike, all beef items are $1 extra. Overall, the flavoring of the food was overly spiced and a lot of oil, but hey, maybe they were busy on the inside with a lot of orders. The vegetarian green curry ($13) had a good flavor with a little kick - lots of bamboo shoots.
