I've tried Thai food in the entire DFW metroplex. This was a pretty good restaurant and it adds to the lovely college feel of Denton Square. Inside, the ambience is great. Seating is limited but during lunchtime all the seats were filled and no one was turned away. My family ordered pad thai and pad kee mow. After seeing these reviews I should have given panang curry a go. The food was slightly smaller in portion than other restaurants offerings but the great overall experience made me forget any possible shortcomings of Thai Square. I'm going to be recommending this place and I will most certainly be back. read more

Checked out this place in downtown of UNT/TWU campus! Seemed like an odd place to be but man was it good! Started off with the fried dumplings (which hit the spot) and also ordered the Tom yum chicken soup which was decent! As for entrees, ordered the chicken pad Thai, which was phenomenal. I'm usually a chicken pad ke mow girl but was in the mood to try pad Thai and boy it didn't disappoint! Also ordered the red curry, which was just as bomb! This place was recommended to us. Unfortunately, I guess they only went for takeout. Don't ever go here to eat in. They took our number and said it would take 25 minutes so we went to their other restaurant who unfortunately wasn't serving food since they were short on servers but the hostess was great at Taanan! We just had wine there while waiting for Thai square to call us. After half an hour they didn't call so I went to check and they said they called us twice but I never got the call. This tiny Thai spot is a treasure! We have had several of their dishes from traditional dishes to their house specialties and never a disappointment. Spring rolls are freshly made and light and Tom Kha and Vegetable soup are exceptional. Pad Thai and Pad Woon Sen are predictably perfect, every single time. The spicy catfish from the signature dishes is a great alternate for anyone steering away from noodles. This is a BYOB spot so bringing in your own wine or alcoholic beverage is necessary. The closest place to buy some of you forget is off Carroll at the corner convenient store/gas station where selection is ehh. The wait staff is welcoming and attentive regardless if every seat in the house is taken or early dinner as they gear up for the rush. Reservations are definitely recommended. Be courteous on your arrival because there are less than 20 tables or so and the largest table seats 6. Anything more requires definite planning. NOTE: This would restaurant is very tightly spaced. If there are special needs - I'd call in advance and make sure they know. Also, I'd think twice before bringing small children here. Such a quaint little perfect Thai place! The yellow curry with chicken kept my mouth watering from first sight until I couldn't keep my pants buttoned any longer. So freaking good and affordable. My friend and I split two meals, spicy basil fried rice, and the curry dish. Both equally delicious and vegetables were crispy and fresh. $9.50 was the price and I'll definitely be back soon. OMG yelp, why has it taken me so long to go to this place. Hands down the best Thai food i've had! After hearing such great things from a few friends i ventured out with them on a icy night to give this place a shot. Right off the bat the server told us they were short staff due to the weather conditions. To be honest i didn't even notice. BYOB was keeping me company the whole time. I wish more places were BYOB. The place is tiny, but it really adds to the charm of this place. With so many curry options i had to choose the curry sampler. I still cannot decide which one was my favorite, all excellent! Weeks after eating there i was still thinking about how great this place was. There isn't much about this place that i don't love, i just wish i would have found it sooner. Four good meals here in a row: pad see ew, curry, and something else I can't remember now. I probably ordered the see ew a second time (it's not offered with traditional pork, but the chicken or tofu versions are fantastic). As an appetizer, the veggie Tom Kha is balanced and loaded, but the noodle dishes are the stars here. Just the right char and a sauce that coats but doesn't drown the dish. The minced garlic isn't burned, which if you make Thai noodle dishes at home, you know how easy it is to do this and how it ruins the final product. An exercise in wok control. They don't skimp on the fish sauce in dishes which require it, either. Service is outstanding. read more

I've been trying to talk my boyfriend into going to get Thai food with me for quite some time now, and he finally agreed. I must say that the overall experience was a bit underwhelming, considering all the fantastic reviews. The food, in my opinion, was a bit Americanized. I understand that you probably have alter it some considering that you're serving Thai food in a very "pizza and burgers" kind of place, but I was left a tad disappointed. It just wasn't a spicy and flavorful as I'm used to. We went this past weekend during 35 Denton. The host was obviously overwhelmed, and kept seating people who had just walked in before the people who were already waiting. It turns out that it was his first day (incredibly nice though), and once we discovered that everyone was trying to help him out. Once we got a table the service was relatively quick, but the overall tone was that all the waitstaff was exhausted. As I looked around I noticed something missing, a manager. I understand that things happen, but if a manager wasn't there besides anything but an emergency...shame on you. You left your staff and a brand new host to fend for themselves on one of the busiest weekends that Denton has all year. read more

The food is always fresh, hot and full of flavor! I've had most things on the menu and you can't go wrong with anything you choose. I recommend the mussels as an appetizer and the Pad See Ew flat noodle dish for an entree. If your feeling REALLY hungry or wanna share something get the curry sampler. Tofu option available for my vegetarians and adjustable spice level. The severs are always attentive and greet you with a smile. Clean and a little pricey (8-14$) but worth it!!! Quaint little place just off the square. Very busy so allow yourself time. We ordered the fresh spring roll. It clearly was made earlier and had been sitting at room temperature. It was weird to eat a room temp fresh spring roll that should be ice cold. The curry sampler meal was excellent. However the mossoman curry left an empty spot - it was way to fishy and the beef tasted like pot roast that was cooked, days ago then thrown in at the last minute.
