    Pad Thai
    Alice H.

We were craving Thai food after some drinks and found this place! We ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and a Pad See Ew with chicken. We also asked for making them spicy, and they did a really good job, the spicy level is at the right amount! Pad Thai is a stir-fried rice noodle with shrimp mixed with fried tofu, bean sprouts, egg, and peanuts. Their fried tofu was so good that it's crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside! The noodles are full of flavors, sour, and a bit sweet! And the portion is huge that I couldn't even finish it.

We visited Thai Time on a Sunday evening for dinner. The slightly cramped restaurant was fairly empty but there were lots of takeout orders. We ordered a pad see ew and pad thai, both of which we asked for spicy, and I would say they delivered. For both the noodle dishes, the flavor was solid and as mentioned, the spice level was perfect. I would say I have quite a high spice tolerance and it was hot enough to make me sweat a little bit. The portion sizes were quite large as well, which is a huge plus. If there was one thing I could critique, it would be that the pad see ew noodles were cut a little bit on the short end, but I think that comes down to personal preference. Overall I would say this is a great thai restaurant in the neighborhood!

The pork is just a little bit warmer than body temperature. Hopefully it was not leftover from yesterday.

Passed by this place multiple times. It was a carry out only restaurant during pandemic time and reopened for dining in last year. It is a small place with about 6 to 7 small tables. Tried it today and here's my comment: the service is good and the owner served me. The decoration is great too. But for some reason the food is not good. Being eating in such a small space, I expect to get very hot (not just warm or even cold) dish. But unfortunately the dish I got is just warm. Especially the pork is colder than the noddles. I don't know if they cooked my dish and let it sitting on kitchen table for a long time before serving the dish to me. But there's no reason they would do that in such a small restaurant. Another possibility is something I hope is not true: they served me leftover food.

Stopped for lunch as I was in town for the day. This restaurant is really small but food was tasty. They have lunch specials. I ordered the lunch special #13-PAD MA KEUR and the mango sticky rice. It wasn't bad. They have decent prices for their specials. Staff were ok. We found parking right in front. Came in around noon on a Weds. I would dine here again if I'm in the area. They have 1 restroom and you have to go through the kitchen to get to it.

Came here for lunch on a saturday. Was not busy at all and we were able to be seated immediately. We ordered 3 dishes: green bean curry fried rice, pad see ew veggie, and panang curry with tofu Panang curry with tofu was sooo good! very thick curry, generous amounts of tofu that were fried but not overly oily and delicious garlic rice to go with it. Green bean curry fried rice was also good, more like a red curry fried rice with beans added - was good but didn't blow my mind. Thought the pad see ew was a little oily but overall it was good just not as good as the other two. Very small space so would recommend not coming here with a big group. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go again but it was good and I wouldn't mind revisiting.

A friend recommended this place when I visited San Francisco recently. I trusted him and viewed the website menu then placed an order - Pad see eew, Pad Gra Prow, and chicken wings with curry sauce! I got there about twenty minutes after placing the order and the food was packed and waiting for pickup. The restaurant is very small and. and I probably wouldn't have gone there if it wasn't recommended. It appeared to be a one man operation. I paid for the food - a bit pricey but that's the norm nowadays especially in San Francisco. When I got back to my destination and tasted the food - great! Not skimpy on the protein either! And spiced to my liking- medium spicy. So, don't let looks deceive you - Thai Time does not disappoint!

===TL;DR=== - 17. Yum Woon Sen Salad - 33. Hor Mok Talay ===TMI=== Surprised I haven't review this place yet but I've been here throughout the years. They've been operating since 1997 so let's keep small businesses running!! I've always been a returning customer for one thing mainly - Hor Mok Talay. Creamy, a tad spicy, red curry sauce covering delicious seafoods! Perfect with a side of rice to clear all the sauces off the plate! First time trying their #17 and it was also very good. A bit tangy, good for opening the appetite. Small restaurant so don't recommend a huge party - though I'm sure they can make something happen if so. I think they fit around 12-16 people inside. PSA: no restroom inside the restaurant.

    Benson W.

Pad kee mao; Random little hole in the wall spot and decided to try it out. I always get pad kee mao at Thai restaurants. I normally just order pad kee mao without looking at what's inside and was surprised to see baby corn and bamboo shoots. I personally love bamboo shoots in my ramen but I don't think it mixed too well in this dish. Noodles were fair, not completely soft but not overly oiled. Wasn't spicy at all and I forgot to ask them to make it spicy. Overall, it's a decent pad kee mao. Good price and quantity but just didn't have that spicy and savory quality that I'm use to.

Som Tum ($13) 38. Gang Keaw: Chicken ($15) 47. Pad Gra Prow: Ground Chicken ($14) 74. Pad Thai: Shrimp ($16) *Brown Rice ($3.50) I first tried Thai Time about 15ish years ago. When I was craving Thai earlier this month, I decided to revisit as I didn't remember much about this spot. Delivery was quick as we double dashed, but they are in our neighborhood, so fairly close. Best dish hands down was the Basil Chicken. So flavorful. Plus this spot has huge portions! The curry and the pad thai fed us for multiple meals. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the rest of the dishes as much. The curry was very thin. Almost soup like. The pad thai was mushy and a tad too sweet. I added a bunch of sambal to it. The papaya salad didn't have much flavor. 5 STARS for the basil chicken, 3 stars for everything else. I'll average it out to 4. REVIEW #3427

The food was good, but there were a few things that kept it from being a 5-star experience. I ordered the Pad See Ew, and while the flavor was tasty, it was noticeably salty to the point where I ended up drinking about four cups of water afterward. The portions also felt somewhat small for the price. For example, the crispy calamari was $14.50 and came with only around 4-6 pieces, which felt a little underwhelming. Service was probably a 3/5 for me and my family. When we were ordering, the server's tone came across as a bit hostile, and we felt rushed both while ordering and eating. That said, the food still had good flavor and I can see why people enjoy this place. The ambiance definitely added to the experience, and with slightly better portion sizes and a more welcoming service experience, this spot could easily be even better.

I only knocked the restaurant down by a star because the servers were pretty pushy with wanting us to leave despite the multitude of empty tables around us. Besides that, the food is really delicious. The papaya salad is amazing if you like spice! There was a great kick and acidity to the papaya salad distributed throughout the fresh vegetables in the dish. I highly recommend! The pumpkin fries were also a great choice: crispy fry with soft pumpkin inside, maintaining the overall pumpkin flavor profile. The sauce they provide on the side (sweet and sour plum sauce), cut through the fry but didn't overwhelm the pumpkin itself. For myself, I got the yellow curry with chicken. The curry dishes do not come with rice, so you will have to order that on the side. The curry is not only a generous portion, but FULL of ingredients. They do not skimp on the meat, potatoes, etc. Highly recommend trying Farmhouse Kitchen for some flavorful Thai dishes!

Did not expect that kind of packed flavor at all but it makes a seemingly ordinary bean dish so much more exciting. The noodles were cooked perfectly and made a great in between to the rabbit curry. Which speaking of, oh my god??? SUPER tender and fall off-the-bone. Rabbit can be a hard dish to put on for people who have never tried it, but I really appreciate that it's not as bone-y as other rabbit dishes I've had in the past. It really was like chicken but softer. Wow wow wow. Huge shoutout to our bartender for giving us extra birthday shots on the house. Never had Amaro before tonight but it was delicious. Did not get his name unfortunately but he's fantastic! The reason I give 4 stars despite the great experience was because I noticed less urgency from the host and the servers in terms of getting stuff out. Doesn't help that the place is smaller and more expensive for a Michelin star establishment. Sitting by the bar made a huge difference for us since we had a great experience with our bartender, but I have a feeling that those at regular tables that night might've lost patience with the wait times for certain dishes.
