We came here on a rare warm evening on our way to Ocean Beach. The interior was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We got a few things: - Papaya Salad: very refreshing dish on a warm day, the prawn was also fresh and a nice addition - Hoi Jor: this was a unique appetizer I hadn't tried before. It reminded me a lot of a crab cake, but the crispy tofu skin exterior + plum sauce really added a lot of flavor - Pad Thai: yummy, this one was on the sweeter side

Authentic, yummy thai food just a short walk Ocean beach. Was recommended this by a patient and am glad I stopped by after work! Ordered: Tofu Pad Kee Mao (per rec of waitress as told her I like spicy) Green Curry with Tofu Overall I quite enjoyed my meal; Tofu Pad Kee Mao had perfect noodle texture with chewy, bouncy rice noodle and great wok hei, which makes thai noodle dishes like this and pad see ew so much better. I wish it could have been more spicy, as it was advertised as the option for spice lovers, but otherwise enjoyed a lot. Good tofu to noodle ratio as well. Green Curry with Tofu was also nicely seasoned, with good balance of curry flavor and the mildness of the coconut milk. Again wish it had been spicier, and perhaps I should've asked. Price was very reasonable with total of $37 pre tip for rice, curry, and noodle. ~15/order! Service was fast as well. Seating was comfortable and the ambiance quaint and intimate. Overall enjoyed my food here and only critique was missing the spice, but otherwise quite flavorful, home-cooked tasting thai food!

The pad se ew and fried rice with chicken variants were outstanding. So was their iced tea! This is a must stop place after a long tiring hike!

Sri Thai has easily become one of my favorite spots for Thai food. I love their green curry with pork or chicken. The papaya salad is so refreshing and flavorful. I've only ordered here via DoorDash but I will dine in here soon! If the food tastes this good via delivery I'm sure it'll be even more amazing dining in.

The best Thai food in SF IMHO. They are consistently good over the last 10 years. I just went tonight and the service, food both 5/5. The decor is dusty, dated and meh but I don't even mind because its peaceful, quiet and simple 3/5. I always order a curry and rice. I stick to mainly the same thing. I dine in usually since its so far from my house. But they seem to do really well with take out! Give them a try!

Great service, authentic Thai food and homey setting. If you're looking for authentic Thai food in SF, Sri Thai is for you.

    82. Pad Kee Mao

This is a hole in the wall right next to Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park! The pad kee mao with tofu was good, though the tofu was not evenly seasoned; some pieces were bland, others were full of flavor. Portion size was ok. Service was excellent; food came out in less than 5 minutes, and the waitress was very attentive! Not pictured: coconut ice cream was delicious! Not too sweet and included real coconut pieces.

A good and reasonably priced Thai option in the Sunset. We ordered the combo appetizer, pork pad se ew, and chicken panang curry with a side of rice. We were surprised that the spring rolls in the combo app were fried, but after deeper look at their menu they have both regular spring rolls - which are fried, and fresh rolls - which are not. I don't usually chose fried spring rolls but these were fine, a little on the small side, which I actually preferred since they were fried this instance. Personal favorites from the combo app were the satay chicken and Thai pumpkin samosa. I like the pad se ew, though it did have a bit of a sweeter taste than most pad se ews I've tried. Panang curry was also pretty good, had a bit more spice than what I usually have but nothing too intense. The service was friendly and quick, food came out fast and water refills were often. We came for dinner on Eater Sunday and were seated right away. The dining room wasn't too big, but it looked like they had additional high top seating further back. Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods or across the street along the park, it took us a lap or two around the block to find a spot we'd fit in

    Pad Eggplant with chicken
    Lei H.

This place is a real gem. I am hard to impress and rarely give anyone 5 stars on the first try. Maybe I am hungry today but my take out of pad eggplant with chicken light on the oil was DELICIOUS. Eggplant absorbs a lot of oil but this one was really well done and not oily. Also not salty. I asked for mild and it was exactly right mild I think I am also excited as it's a 7 min walk from the beach chalet soccer field parking lot. I am here like twice a week so finding a place I like walking distance is a gift Lastly not too pricey. Everything in sf is now just expensive. Rice at $3.25 could be cheaper but the Eggplant with chicken at $16.95 is expected. I will definitely be back.

KHAO SOI GAI TOD HAT YAI

This place has excellent presentations and reasonable prices. The chicken is crispy and juicy and the khao soi is rich and flavorful.

They text you when your table is ready and got have about 5 minutes to get there. Right away I knew I wanted the Khao soi which I got with tofu. This was beyond delicious, but I wish they have more broth. I've had Khao soi before but it was a bit more broth which made the noodles less dry. Also I wish the tofu was cut into smaller cubes, the tofu wasn't very crispy which made it pretty bland and one dimensional. Other than that it was very good. The Thai tea was also good, not too sweet which was perfect. The duck breast curry had a similar taste to the Khao soi but the duck was one of the beast we had. Super moist and flavorful in the broth, definitely one of the best dishes of the night. Also the beef fried rice (Khao pad mun neur) was cooked well, my favorite was the flavor of the fried rice. Had a smoky wok flavor to it which made it addicting. The ambience was very nice my favorite was their music playlist. Was nostalgic and gave good vibes in the restaurant. Definitely a great experience and worth a try when in the city. I would come again for the duck curry and maybe the Khao soi with a different protein or ask the tofu to be extra crispy.

We ordered the same short rib beef fried rice but tried the curry chicken noodle soup this time which had a crispy fried ball of noodles topping a bowl of mild, spicy curry broth, soft noodles and chicken. It was very good. For the first time, we ordered their Chinese broccoli which was sliced into smaller pieces and surprisingly very good. We were full but decided to get the pandan kaya toast with large scoop of coconut ice cream to share since we've not ordered this in a long time. The chefs cooking that evening were doing a great job as the flavors were delicious.

Every bite and sip was delicious. We ordered family style and shared everything. The service was also fantastic, even though we got there late and didn't realize until the food was beginning to come out that it was last call, our server and all the other workers that came by were all so friendly and made us feel welcome. We ate quickly and boxed the rest so they could get home. What we ordered: Tom Kha soup - coconutty, creamy, a lil sour and a lil spice. Delicious. Fresh rolls - crisp and springy with lots of greens and tofu and a good peanut sauce to dip. Crispy pork belly sweet basil - the CRISP and flavor of this pork belly was to die for. Chicken larb - this was my favorite dish of the night. Heavy basil/herbs, just a little kick from the chilies, full on flavor explosion. I will be thinking of this dish for a long time haha. Beef Pad See Ew - chewy in the most delicious and favor packed way. Love pad see ew and this one was great! Pad cha scallop - Came out sizzling on a cast iron! This dish was fun and the scallops while small, were fresh and had lots of flavor. And finally, for dessert we ordered the black rice durian. It was all three of us' first time trying Durian and we loved it! Creamy and a little funky but the black rice and sauce emphasized its natural sweetness. Thank you to everyone at Saap Ver for adding to my besties birthday happiness! Can't wait to come back.

The interior is well decorated with Thai culture and with the darker tones of the design, it makes the restaurant feel quite fancy. 4.5/5 - Crispy Pork (Moo Krop) Fried Rice - Very savory fried rice dish. Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. Filling portions and did not overcook their noodles. You can taste each component of the dish, which speaks to everything not being under or overcooked. We ordered nuts on the side but you would be quite satisfied ordering this if you like pad thai! 4.5/5 - Pad Gra Prow - Appropriate veggie to beef proportion and very flavorful. Minced well and great to complement with your carb dishes (noodle or rice). We thought the dish was slightly oily but it feels well absorbed when eaten with our pad thai.
