Hands down the best Thai restaurant in Sacramento! Thai Time just opened a couple weeks ago and we have already eaten there a couple times. Tonight we tried the Basil entree with pork and the Drunken Noodles with shrimp. The service was fast and everything was prepared fresh. Both entrees were so delicious! We are both health conscious and really appreciate that the food there was clean, light and not greasy. The fried ice cream was the highlight at the end of our meal. I never write reviews but I couldn't keep this one to myself! A true hidden gem when it comes to Thai food in Sac! Went to dinner with a mentor and we arrived just after the re-opened for dinner. We were seated promptly and the customer service was excellent. Our server provided great recommendations! The food was a 10/10! The portion sizes were fair for the price and the flavor was bold! I had the Drunken Chicken Chow Mein and loved the pairing of two of my favorite dishes. I've never seen such a variety of menu options before and enjoyed the fusion style options. The feel of the restaurant is modern but homey! It got a bit loud as the evening progressed as there was a group celebrating a graduation. But, it didn't feel like we were crowded and we could still hear each other. Overall this place is a solid 5/5 stars and I'll be back to try new dishes!! In my opinion the food at Thai Time is a step up from other nearby Thai restaurants. The ambiance is nice too. It's quaint, with dim lighting at night, giving it a relaxed feel. The owner, who is pretty much always there, is very friendly. My only complaint, but this isn't just for Thai Time, but many restaurants, to go containers and bags provided are not the most environmentally friendly. It would be nice if Thai Time also took a step up in this area too :). Compostable would be great! The food is just okay in my opinion (maybe it was a tad too busy for kitchen?) I had high hopes for this place given the many good reviews but me and the rest of my party I agreed it was just okay and we may come back to try again. We had a party of 7, we ordered Pad Thai with chicken medium, Drunken Noodles with beef mild, Basil Fried Rice with pork belly mild, angel wings, and calamari to share. Portions were pretty decent in size, and we were all able to share with only a little bit leftovers. The pad Thai was not my fave as it was a bit more wet than usual, almost like it had a gravy like sauce, which I didn't care for as I like mines on the dry side. Drunken noodles were good, I liked that it had a good amount of veggies and they were cooked just right. The basil fried rice was okay, I wish it had more flavor as the basil didn't really come through for me but the pork belly was good. Angel wings were interesting as it was fried so it was dry and the sauce was only thing that made it enjoyable, probably would not order again as it was not that good, it was just like fried chicken wrapped in egg roll filling but the whole thing just was dry. Calamari was good but nothing too special. Overall the food was okay for the price but I will def need to come back and try again as I do think they have the potential but that night was just really lacking. Tried out this new Thai spot with my friend. The place is super cute, clean, and festive right now for St Pattys day. We ordered the fresh tofu rolls for an appetizer and they are delicious! The sauce it comes with is even better we used every last drop. Not pictured is our pad see ew with tofu (we were too hungry to wait). You can choose your spice level from 1-5 and we both got a 2. It had a slight kick but not very spicy, so we could definitely do a 3 or 4. They also give you additional sauces and spices to add on. I've tried a lot of Thai places around and their food is in my top 3 for sure!! The Thai tea is a classic! It was not tooooo sweet and came in a cute little glass. Thai Time was pretty good. We had the pad see ew, chicken laab, and chicken satay, Thai green tea, and Thai tea. Chicken satay was big, worth the price and tasted very good. I would say if they can add fresh cucumber or pickled veggie. 9/10 Chicken pad see ew was ok, a little too much soy sauce. I used the Thai chili oil to make it taste better. 6/10 Chicken laab was good! It can be a little bit more spicy and maybe more rice powder, but good overall. I haven't written many reviews in the last couple of years but had to for Thai Time. Love this place! The owner has been working both times I've come in (once dined in and once take out). The food is some of the best Thai I've had which is saying a lot. The prad prik king, massamum curry, tofu rolls, drunken noodles and silver noodles are all soooo good!! The dining experience was superb and they have a nice beer selection too. My takeout was so carefully packed with a folded bag between the hot and cold items, loved their attention to detail. We came in around 11am and was seated right away. The ambiance was beautiful and very clean. We ordered the Silver Noodle Salad and the Drunken Noodle with chicken, both medium spicy. The flavors in both dishes were phenomenal and the food came out pretty quick. The next time we go there, we will try more of their dishes. I can't wait to come back again.
