The first time eating here we did take out and it was so delicious that I went back with a friend the next night. The food is SO good. The Tom Kha is the best I've ever had. Really yummy sweet sauce with the rolls. I had the veggie soup and it was DELICIOUS. Also had the avocado yellow curry -- again, probably the best I've had (and we do a lot of Thai food). If you're looking for authentic Thai food, Thai Time is the place to be! My co-worker and I just came from this AMAZING restaurant, literally to "Thai" for!! We came in around 11am and was seated right away. The ambiance was beautiful and very clean. We ordered the Silver Noodle Salad and the Drunken Noodle with chicken, both medium spicy. The flavors in both dishes were phenomenal and the food came out pretty quick. The next time we go there, we will try more of their dishes. I can't wait to come back again. This new Thai restaurant has everything I've been looking for in a Thai place in Sac: legit good Thai food + ambiance. The pad Thai noodles still had a bit of chew, which is important. The chicken satay had a great Smokey flavor from the grill and peanut sauce that was really smooth, but not too sweet. The green curry was also fantastic, especially with fried tofu, which I think was house fried and very yummy. Wow. I wish I lived in town. Maybe it's good for my wallet and waistline I don't because I would eat here daily if I lived here. The owner came up to us and was so genuine and friendly during the meal (which was absolutely delicious to say the least) and I really enjoyed it. Food came out fast, fresh, and super tasty. If you did not know, there is a secret menu they have up their sleeves, you just have to ask. I always ask for their pork belly with fried chicken wings and rice with a sunny side egg! OMG this dish is any food lovers dream. It has a hint of spice, sweetness, herbiness, that will fill up your stomach and leave you satisfied. Second to that I highly recommend the prik keng pork belly with green beans with rice. The crispy pork belly reminds me of lechon and the sauce they have lathered over it have me dreaming about eating it everyday. Truly an epic dish to remember and a must stop to try experience. If you're looking for real authentic Thai food this is the place. Everything we ordered was chock full of flavor spices and fresh ingredients. We got the Cashew entree with tofu, Ginger stir fry with chicken, Kai Soi with chicken, Mango Tango, Tom Kha soup with tofu, and the Tofu with Tamarind sauce - this ones wasn't bad by any means (love the use of tamarind in anything) but would definitely venture and try another appetizer next time. Fare warning I have found that the more authentic a Thai place the spicier the food and this place is no exception I was told afterward that the chefs actually don't eat spicy food so they truly eyeball the chili pepper amounts as they go so I would recommend going down one level than your usually spice level just to be on the safe side. I ordered mild but it was still at the top of my spice tolerance so I know next time to just say no spice - the food was still delish so I just kept chugging my Thai Coffee. Service was impeccable start to finish with the young woman attending us being super kind and attentive and making us feel like we were regulars rather than it being our first (but most certainly not our last) time there. Yes it's pricey but it's in downtown and there's spots with way less quality food for the same price and it's expensive to dine out right now period so it's really a matter of picking a place that's actually worth it when you want to spend your hard earned money outside. The place was big spacious and really relaxed plus the restrooms were superé clean which is a huge green flag in my personal experience. Thai Time is doing it right!
